The 2 stars are given for the food which could not be faulted.
The room we were in was dark and gloomy, even on a bright day.
Behind a rather scruffy curtain, there was a much brighter and better set out dining area.
The waitress, although friendly, knew nothing about the menu or what non- alcoholic drinks were available. She was unable to answer basic questions about the meal options.
The non- alcoholic juice was served to my pregnant daughter-in-law in the bottle with a straw, so that she felt like a five year old! We had to ask for a glass with ice.
The cauliflower cheese was plonked on the table with no serving spoons.
The staff seemed disorganised. We were asked to pay our bill in the bar downstairs where we had a long wait before anyone seemed bothered about taking our money.
We felt the whole place could do with a good tidy up and a few nice touches of cosy decor.
A shame really....5* food with a McDonalds type ambience!
