“I’m early 40’s, with size 12 feet. I am fit and healthy with fairly skinny calves. I bought the work boot socks in October, but have hardly been able to wear them because the elastic is so tight. I sucomed yesterday with the promise of rain here in France; and am paying the price now. The elastic is soooo very tight it’s left indentations around my calves. It’s so painful I can’t sleep and my feet are so very cold. Please take heed of the other reviews saying the same thing and don’t be tempted.”

“This is a revie of the Long Hose 100% cotton product. Superb socks, worth every penny and in fact a very reasonable price. I use them for walking etc but also with thinner smarter trousers when I want to stay warm in cooler weather. An added bonus is that even in warmer weather they are thin enough not to overheat feet. I cannot praise these socks highly enough.”

“Even on the first time wearing the big toenail is wearing through the socks are so thin could have been reinforced on toes and heel otherwise the socks are fine very comfortable”

“A considerable improvement from the M & S cotton socks of which I have been a devotee for many years. Unfortunately, the types available have changed and become more limited over the years. Socksmad socks stay up but do not have the pinching elastic, or at least as much, which hinder circulation in swollen diabetic feet. JonathAn”

“i bought 12 pairs of socks sold as suitable for persons with diabetes, as the cuff was looser. unfortunately, the cuffs were not looser and cut into my husband’s calves. our son is now the proud owner of 12 pairs of socks which he is happy with!”
