“Our child loved receiving the boxes (what kid doesn't like getting mail!) but I found the value to be low for the overall cost. The boxes included a magazine, a small storybook, some stickers and usually some off-the-shelf toy or activity (like a keychain, or a cheap gold-panning kit) that were not always very authentic or educational. For the cost I was expecting better quality.”

“Esme, an avid reader and lover of history did not enjoy this subscription. The factual history resources and activities were engaging BUT the stories were not. The awful characters -especially the girl and her disdain for learning- and their arguing caused my daughter to lose interest after a couple of books. To attempt to renew interest, I pre-read the books and redacted all the arguing and arbitrary cruelty and read the books aloud but it was too late. The remaining half of the books were unread. I wasn't going to write a negative review but, since I've been asked multiple times to respond, here it is.”
