About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“Due to a variety of reasons I have not yet used the product, however, it appears to be of the material I wanted in particular waterproof/washable and strong. It is a tracking lead and at the moment I can say nothing else. except the ordering and delivery time were both excellent.”

“I bought a short Ruffwear lead from Mountain Dog. The product arrived in good order, as advised by them with all the usual emails. Thank you. Cannot remember the delivery details, could have been posted by RM, but I did purchase a rapid delivery service.”

“Good selection, great quality, often cheaper than anywhere else and quick delivery… …my only criticism, while delivery is free returns are £3.99, so far ok, however if you pack multiple orders together you still get charged the delivery for each order. My lesson is that I will only purchase what I am pretty sure I want and not multiple choices.”

With regards to returns, we are a small business in which we are simply not able to make the Margine in regard to offering free returns. We have had to take into account the cost of living rising which has caused increase in Mountain Dog HQ's bills including standard carriage charges. “We bought a long line and two harnesses from Mountain Dog. There was an issue with one of the harnesses (the stitching failed after only a couple of weeks) and I was able to log the issue online, get approval for a replacement almost instantly, and the replacement harness itself arrived the next day in the post. On a Sunday. Excellent customer service and it meant we were not left in the lurch without a working harness. Very pleased with the experience of dealing with them and we have a happy dog running around in a smart new harness on a sturdy long line.”

“Harness was in stock and arrived within expected timescale. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to order it for next day delivery and although I registered my email, I didn't see the resultant email with the discount code until I had already completed the payment. Perhaps an onscreen notification to remind me to check my email would have helped e.g. ' Thank you for registering, please check your email for a discount code'.”

“Based size of Ruff Flagline harness on previous Webmaster - but was too small. Have returned for exchange to larger size. Awaiting delivery - but have no issues with customer service. So far excellent service from Mountain Dog - easy ordering, quick delivery (bar Royal Mail strikes!) & competitively priced.”

“They are great items. And lovely colour for black dog like mine. But still expensive and the Ruffwear leash is a bit thin. Hope it’s a bit more soft and thicker.”

Thank you for the feedback, we will be more than happy to pass this along to our supplier. In the meantime, Ruffwear do have some fantastic leashes that are slightly thicker and offer more padding than the Front Range Edition. I would suggest taking a look at the Flat-Out leashes. “I always buy this product though it can pull to the side .. he looks smart in red The only issue I had with the first one is it ripped at the front buckle where the lead attached”

This works best with a double ended leash. Hope this helps :)

“This is the second Flyangle we’ve purchased. Great as a pull toy. Bought so kids could interact with the dog whilst keeping their tiny fingers away from the dogs mouth. Not ideal as a chew toy as material used is not strong enough.”

Hello Phillip, We are pleased to hear you had a positive experience with the Fly angle. Whilst all of our toys are supplied from very reputable brands, we advise that our customers assess the toys quality before engaging in play. Of course, as dog owners ourselves, we have experienced toy destruction ourselves. We do have a selection of toys from Kong that are more ideal as chew toys. Whilst they are not indestructible, the Kong Chew Stix or the Core Strength Range are made to withstand tougher chewing. Hope this helps :)

“Brilliant waterproof coat for our lab, feel like the sizing chart could do with a bit of an overhaul I know all dogs are different shapes and sizes but at least a rough recommendation of what sort of size for each breed would be nice we bought the largest size for ours after measuring him and it was far to big had to go 2 sizes down and had to pay additional p&p which was annoying”
