About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“Beautiful looking jacket that I am sure would do the job… if only it fit my vizsla. I was surprised that my 22kg athletic dog was too small for the M and too big for the S! Bear in mind that according to the measurements I took from my dog, the M should have been a perfect fit. However it came up huge. I think they are more designed perhaps for chunkier dogs than vizslas or pointers or perhaps those with a big fur coat? These things said the team at mountain dog were really helpful and a refund was easy enough, really recommend this company. So to be clear my three stars are only as the sizing from ruffwear doesn’t seem right to me on this particular jacket. My dog fits perfectly in their size M harness so I’d expect the same of this jacket.”

Hello Rosalind, Sorry to hear you couldn't get a good fit for your pooch. With Ruffwears sizing guide, it is 100% accurate, however, when you have dogs of all shapes and sizes even the most perfect measurement may not fit. Hello Laura, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do offer free delivery for orders over £70.00, however, if this threshold is not reached then a shipping charge is generated. As a small business, we are unable to offer free shipping to anything less than this threshold. We do offer two shipping options which vary in cost. We offer standard shipping at £3.99 and a speedy shipping service at £4.99. With regards to returns, we offer a free shipping label for those who are exchanging a product. If, however, you are requesting a refund, we do not offer free shipping. One thing that we can assure you is that our sizing guides are 100% accurate. We only use sizing guides from reputable brands with Ruffwear being one of the brands. We do understand that not every dog is the same shape and size and therefore it can be a little difficult to get a perfect fit for them, especially while purchasing online. This is why we offer the free exchange process. There are other alternatives for this harness if it is not 100% suitable for your pooch, we are more than happy to assist you in finding the best fitting and the perfect harness for your fur baby. “Great looking harness, unfortunately the sizing guide they give you is way off and we have had to adjust it to the max and as our boy is only 6 months old it’s probably going to last a month and will need replacing for a bigger one, take note do the measurements then buy the next size up or you will waste £35 too!”

Hello Karen, Thank you for your review. Glad to hear your doggo enjoyed the toy! All of our toys do come from reputable brands, however, we can't guarantee that the toys are indestructible. Kong is one of the stronger toy brands that we do. We do with every toy have a disclaimer stating that "Whilst the items are durable in nature, they can be damaged outside of supervised play." Every dog is different. Here at Mountain Dog HQ, some of our furbabies are the same! So we completely understand the frustration on this subject. “The harness isn't suitable as no matter how much adjusting it doesn't fit my Staffies shape. It looked well made and as described. I was disappointed I had to pay £5 to return the item but my fault I suppose for not reading the return policy! I won't order again due to this as difficult buying online. Luckily I purchased a lead which is fine so at least had something. I haven't 'received my refund as yet as only just posted it due to not being an essential journey until i meeded food so cannot comment on that process yet”

“The lead is pretty good with the correct harness utilising both the front ‘no pull’ point and the one on the back, it works well for training no pull in the park, but I only gave it 3 stars as you can’t then go into town and keep the dog on a shorter lead as you can’t adjust the length and the lead is too narrow to hold on to without it hurting your hand. It needs a way of shortening it or adding a second ‘traffic’ handle.”

Hello Finlay, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our products are all supported with a sizing guide that is 100% accurate and is supported by the supplier. However, we understand that getting a perfect fit the first time around can be difficult to achieve. All dogs are of different sizes and body shapes and more often than not when the tape measure comes out they enjoy dancing around! If you haven't already, as long as your item is still in good condition, you can return it to Mountain Dog HQ for either a refund or exchange. Please note that if you choose to go with a full refund, there will be a postage charge of £3.99 if you use our label. The way this will work is that when your return lands, we will deduct £3.99 from the refunded item. For example, if you have spent £53.99, we will refund you £50.00. Alternatively, you can use your postage label which we will then provide the full refund of the item. Your other alternative is that you apply for an exchange. The exchange process is free and just as quick! Whichever option you choose, we aim to process your request the same day as your return lands.
