I placed an order for collection, but upon arriving at the industrial estate (around 4.45pm) the unit was incredibly difficult to find. There were no instructions on the order email, nor a phone number to call for assistance. I later found some helpful instructions on the website, but by then the opening hours had passed. The advice from the reply to my customer service email - which expressed my disappointment - was to come back the next open day, and contained the instructions for finding them. I did not want to drive 45 minutes there - and the same back again - nor pay the high price for postage. So I requested a refund. Cue two weeks-plus of radio silence despite repeated emails. Extremely disappointed - I have neither the goods nor the money I paid for them. I won't be ordering from them again.

Hello Jonathan, Firstly, we apologise for the initial delay in acknowledging your refund request, and any frustration and inconvenience caused. I can see that a refund has now been processed for you and an email sent to you confirming this. We have also now added a link to the website Click & Collect details along with the existing map on the order confirmation email - thank you for the feedback. So moving forward this will help customers locate the business more easily. Our address and collection times were already on both the emails and website, and the location and a clear map on the website. However, we are wondering though why you chose Click & Collect Chesterfield if you had a 45minute drive each way rather than choose delivery. Aside from the refund, as a courtesy for your inconvenience, we have decided to give you a £10 voucher code that you can use for any goods on our website. We hope you will enjoy using the voucher that we have emailed to you. Best wishes and thanks again for your patience, Love Brewing.

Really disappointed that no option to collect is still available. I am not prepared to £10 extra for a DPD delivery from chesterfield to Mansfield. It makes the option of making your own wine quite expensive. Cant get in touch with anyone, customer service has gone out the window!! Love brewing you have been solid as a rock for 10 years I have been using you, but in the last 4 months something has changed. It looks like an alternative supplier for me if you cant sort yourself out. A very disappointed loyal client!! (that has a competitor wine shop less than a mile away)

Hello, We hear you and appreciate your frustration. As you'll be aware from our social media; website and customer comm's, we have closed our shop permanently and moved to a new premises during the period you mention. We have been offering Click & Collect since November, and while it took some time to get ready, we needed to ensure we had the right processes in place at our new warehouse first. We also routed all of our customer queries via the website Info email in order to manage the process - we had physically moved from the shop and didn't have our phone lines any longer. We'd love to keep your custom, so please try again now we've settled in again. Best wishes and thanks for the feedback, Love Brewing.

Hello John, We are sorry for your inconvenience and frustration. We recently relocated the business, so we no longer have the phone lines or numbers that were used at the shop - we did communicate this out mostly via social media. We're sorry if this wasn't communicated well enough. And whilst the business transitioned we were hugely busy and inundated with email queries. We can see that we had replaced the nutrient and emailed you to confirm this within a week of your email, with no charge to you. We also ran a stock check to ensure there were no other nutrients in this batch that were out of date. Best wishes, Love Brewing.

Christmas present ordered for my dad was launched over the fence by the courier. Emailed lovebrewing to ask for a replacement to which I got told beer would be fine, no offers of replacements. I now have 2 beer kits I can't give to my dad as presents. Won't be buying from here again.

I bought 8 20l polypins which came with push-in taps instead of the screw type illustrated and they all leaked. Furthermore three of the eight polypins developed a leak while being washed for re-use. They were unfit for purpose.

I've been buying from Lovebrewing since 2014 Visiting their Chatsworth shop on Sundays twice a month & ordering online at least once a month & spending on average 2 thousand pounds a year. Last month I ordered a Rose Wine Kit And they sent me a Wine kit that was marked Rose on the box, but the jerry can of fruit juice was white wine, they sent me a replacement with no problem at all & responded to my messages within an hour. This month I placed an order of 9 items & when the parcel arrived one of the items was missing, which was a coopers european lager kit (£12.50), the order form in the box was ticked to say it was included, and checked by Olivier Oates. I messaged them through their online contact us form & direct to their info@lovebrewing e mail and had no reply whatsoever, So I had to put the payment into dispute with Paypal, they then messaged me within 5 minutes saying check your spam / junk folder we have replied & I checked & no there was nothing at all from them. They then messaged through Paypal saying that they had posted the item. I still haven't received it or any tracking information from them. Personally I won't be ordering from them again nor will I be calling into their shop. Whatever has happened with this company in the last few weeks has ruined the admiration I had for this business previously. My Brother in law has a You Tube Homebrew Channel with 3 thousand subscribers he can't believe the attitude of this company & also won't be using or recommending them again

Hi Kev We are sorry about this. I have looked into this and I can see 2 emails were sent to you from the 4 emails you sent to us on the day of the enquiry. Please let me address the issues. 1. The Wine, this was a warehouse issue from the supplier we hopefully fixed for you in the correct amount of time. 2. The Missing Lager. Oliver is one of our best packers and has been with us for years, however, we are all human and can make mistakes. Looking at the PayPal replies we were waiting on you to say if you would like us to send out the missing lager to which I can see you replied yesterday. Instead of sending this out, as you have mentioned you have ordered elsewhere I will refund you this morning as well as send a voucher code for you to use if you ever order from us again. I would just like to point out though, regarding the Attitude and something happening over the last 2 weeks, nothing has changed, we are still the same friendly company with a very small team trying our absolute best to provide our services and sorry if you think this has fallen short. I hope the next company you use when they undoubtedly make a mistake you are perhaps a little kinder in your words towards the small business trying to get along in this world.

Poor Quality products had problems general manager and owner patronising and rude when contacted have no concept of customer service Used paypal loophole to get out of refund I only disputed poor quality Items with paypal but no they want hole order back knowing I had already used wine kits see pic of original dispute all this over £12.40 save your self the head ache and shop else where. Just for real transparency I have 2 accounts with this company and order's where made with both hence the 2 reviews it's not illegal. Richard and Darren think they made it and don't need customers any longer , Good luck with that one. Love brew really do look childish with your replies that cannot even spell or I cannot respond to . Fact most people only review when they have problems Your replies make me laugh. Added For your sake I hope you had permission from trust pilot to edit (remove good reviews) and publish my reviews from there site on a rivals site could be a copyright issue here and this really shows how childish you are ??????. Utter rubbish all 100 corks were rubbish falling apart 🙄

Hello John Everyone this Is John, John had an issue with 1 cork out of 100. We offered John a replacement 100 corks, John Refused and wanted more money off his order then the corks where worth. We stood up to John as he was very rude and forceful in his complaints and if we could review John he wouldn't get a single star. John raised an Paypal complaint which was found in Love Brewing favour. We offered to fully refund John for the full order and pick it up, however John had already used our products/Kit. ( that's how poor quality our kits are as he says) With this John started a campaign of bad reviews against us in his name and a few other names (Which can be found below on reviews site) on our dashboard here I have 17 different complaints relating to this by John that Reviews have declined to publish. ( he thinks that this was Love Brewing who can decide what is published or not) the reason they have not been published is because John has bended the truth to suit his own agenda to make it look like he is in the right. ( It looks like John ALWAYS has to be right) John has nothing better to do then complain (Just go over to trust pilot and see his reviews on what looks like every company John has ever bought off) We hope John has a pleasant Life going forward and deals with his issues he has towards retailers.

I bought their alembic still starter kit which, in the information, states "All you need to get started making fantastic spirits & liqueurs. .... This will make 10 x 75cl bottles of 40% ABV liquor." It doesn't, however, contain sugar, or more importantly the glucose powder they say on their website gives you the best possible result. On top of this, part of my order arrived broken, I contacted customer service and my options were get the part refunded (thereby meaning if I wanted the full kit I would have to purchase the part again separately on their website and pay delivery) or they would add it on to my next order (meaning I would have to buy more from them to get the complete kit!) I lost out due to something that was entirely their fault. In spite of all this, the still is excellent! Perhaps because it was not made by Love Brewing… As another commenter handily suggested, Brew2Bottle is cheaper, I'll be buying from them in the future.

Hello Anonymous - I have kept your name from the below exchange for our customer contact which you filled out. This is for full transparency. Hopefully, we have explained the sugar issue to you and we are going to make it more clear. I am however perplexed about the damaged item you refer to? can you show me where you have stated this, please? You also stated the still is Excellent because it's not made by Love Brewing... it IS MADE by us so very happy you are happy with this Still. Love Brewing Today 06:16 (assign) Hi ******** Sorry I have just seen which kit you bought. The reason sugar is not mentioned on this kit is its designed for people who want to make a wash from natural flavourings. "Complete kit designed for collecting the natural flavours we would get in a fermentation. This piece of kit is perfectly suited to those for example wanting to make Whisky from grain or Rum for Molasses Vodka from Potatoes and other similar washes." So we would be expecting you to use say molasses to make a Rum or Potatoes to make a Vodka. The whole idea behind the Alembic Dome and Condensor is they will retain the flavours from the fermentation so whilst sugar can be used if thats the preferred route (and the only way we are doing it) then we would recommend the T500 Condensor. Josse if that is what you want we ought to change what you have bought. If you could give me a bit more idea I can help you further. Richard *********** Yesterday 16:25 Where on this page, does it say anything about excluding sugar? Should I have checked other products in the range? Perhaps this page mentions it? Or this one? Or even this one… Oh no wait, none of them mention the word sugar? Where have you copied your caption from? Where are the multitude of places you mention it? Love Brewing Yesterday 15:36 (assign) We do say in plenty of places it excluded the sugar (brewing sugar) and water. All you need (except brewing sugar - see here) to get started making fantastic spirits & liqueurs. You will not find a better value for money kit anywhere. This will make 10 x 75cl bottles of 40% ABV liquor. Once the starter pack has been purchased each additional batch will cost approx £2.30 a bottle. See our Cost of Producing Spirits & Liqueurs guide for more details. Sorry if you think you have been lead astray Rich ******** Yesterday 14:15 I watched the video on your website about "making the wash", in the video Richard discusses sugar. He mentions that you'll get a better fermentation if you use Glucose Powder. I was expecting to see some of this glucose powder when unpacking my still as it states in the information "All you need to get started making fantastic spirits & liqueurs. You will not find a better value for money kit anywhere. This will make 10 x 75cl bottles of 40% ABV liquor." but you haven't provided any, not even any sugar? How will this kit make 10 x 75cl of spirit without sugar?

I've ordered beer kits from this company and up to now my experience had been fine. However, they failed miserably when I needed some help. One of my last purchases was mis-advertised (package did not state the need for extra sugar) on their website so I contacted them about it and they didn't care a bit, I had to chase them and they just robotically hid behind their disclaimers. It is not the size of the purchase that mattered to me, but the principle of good customer service, and these guys failed. I was let down by them with no effort to remedy the situation at all. All they had to do was give a proper answer and I'd be spending more money with them. Instead they fobbed me off and now I'm getting my monthly homebrew purchases from another seller.

So good to see a company doing so well, in these difficult times, so well infact that they have no need to try and retain their loyal customers. I have bought 30+ beer and wine kits from Love Brewing over the past 3 or more years. My last order was for two premium wine kits, a cider and a beer kit. Order arrived in 2 parts, first was the wine expert eclipse kit. It looked like it had been lying arround and occasionally kicked about the depot over the past year. A half hearted attempt had been made to try and tape the box together. Best before date was only a few months off. The second parcel delivered by DPD had been dropped, the cider kit was intact but the second wine kit and the Russian imperial stout (most expensive beer kit available) were a mess. I contacted love brewing and asked them to take everything back and replace them with the same kits in an acceptable condition. The best they were willing to offer was £10 off my next order. I explained that there would not be a next order if that was their best solution. Long story short I have returned the items for a refund and purchased what I needed from a compeditor. I have no intention of using love brewing again.

Hi Mark for full transparency what you sate actually wasn't how it went. You didn't mention that date issue nor did you ask for us to take them back and replace- below is what was discussed: M -Please see the pictures attached showing the way my delivery arrived, I find this completely unacceptable and would like to get suitable replacements sent and this mess collected. LB - Mark I can understand your frustration and we certainly haven’t sent them out like this. I will be letting DPD see the pictures. Whilst it’s a mess is anything actually damaged? and can’t be used, if not then happy to provide. £10 credit for next order M-My disappointment started when the, on Sat 06/03, winexpert eclipse Zinfandel arrived.A premium kit that looked like someone had a game of football with then half heartedly fixed with a bit of tape. This was then packaged and posted at full selling price with no mention of how damaged it was. Please note this damage was not from DPD as the outer shipping box was intact and undamaged. Then the rest of the order was mysteriously missing from the 06/03 delivery. A half heartedly attempt was apparently made to deliver this on Mon 08/03 (as I have mentioned door bell at gate was not used to alert us to the delivery) When it's finally delivered on Tues 09/03 it looks like it's been dropped off a two story building. The white powder on the pictures is the glucose powder, part of the most expensive premium beer kit, that has burst ( fortunately the liquid pouched seem to be intact. I don't think a £10 voucher on my next order is much of a solution, because as things stand it is highly unlikely there would be a next order. LB - Hi Mark I can assure you we didn't send the Zinfandel out like this, looking at the pictures I dare say DPD have dropped this and re boxed using normal packing tape rather than there own DPD tape which they have clearly used on the 2nd parcel after damaging it. Can i ask what box the Zinfandel was sent in please? was it a branded love brewing box? I can send you out the Glucose powder replacement is it 1kg you are needing? and i can refunded you £10 off the order for the damaged boxes. M-Fortunately I took a photo of the undamaged packing box the Zinfandel arrived in. I do find it hard to believe that DPD would take the Zinfandel wine kit out of the undamaged box, have a game of football with it before repacking it in the undamaged love brewing packing box and delivering it to me. LB-Hi Mark I’m not sure what more I can do for you? I’ve offered a refund if £10 and to replace the sugar. Let me know. M-I have no confidence that these wine and beer kits are complete and that they have not been tampered with. The premium Zinfandel kit was obviously sent from Love Brewing in the state I received it which is appalling. Even more concerning is you lack of willingness to apportion any blame to yourselves. The second parcel was clearly damaged by DPD, accidents happen, but I feel this should have been returned to yourselves to be rectified. I would like you to arrange to have all of these items collected and I would like to be refunded in full. I will buy my wine and beer kits from elsewhere from now on. Yes the damage was good at all and i have raised this with DPD, however during our conversation, no mention of date issue and no mention of you wanting anything replaced. We offered to replace the Brewing sugar and £10 off, if you would have come back saying please replace we could have explored that route but that wasn't mentioned to us. Yes maybe we should have handle this better, however your above review does not reflect what was discussed.

They accepted my order and no despatching for a week. When I asked what is happening they replied as delivery issue (Brexit) but promised to send the same day. Next day didn't sent. When asked they promised to send by end of week, didn't send. Returned money without explanation. I lost exchange fee (about 10%) When I asked for a reason, no reply.
