“I received a call from Adam before we were due to stay at Garth Cottage. He informed me of an incident that had happened during other tenants stay the week before ours. Adam updated me via telephone calls on a regular basis of the situation. This service was excellent and felt assured that the situation had been resolved. This is the first time I have booked through Herdwick Cottages and will do again and hopefully it will be for this year (2024).”

“The service from the staff at Herdwick cottages was brilliant. They helped us to find the perfect new years accommodation for our group which included a very young baby. We stopped at the Haven in Ambleside, it was a beautifully presented accommodation with plenty of space and decorated to a very high standard. Pubs and shops on our doorstep and stunning walks. We loved every minute.”

“The staff at Herdwick Cottages were a pleasure to deal with. I found them to be very pleasant, informative and polite when I had a couple of queries regarding our booking. I received a call 2 days prior to our stay, to confirm that I had received the necessary information relating to our accommodation. Excellent communication from a first-class company. Looking forward to making another booking for a short break in February.”

“Staff were very helpful, though communication via website is not always the easiest. I had a positive experience, however I would say that trying to contact Deanpark itself was challenging. One of the problems is that everything has to be communicated via email or livechat and that can only be done when you have access via their website. In accessing the website, you need to submit the customer reference number - which it does not recognise, as the cottage is booked through Herdwick Cottages. I had problems finding out how much the pass for the swimming pool was ...but no worries because it all worked out well in the end.”
