My management company used Anstey Horne to carry out an FRAWE which we had to get carried out. They also sorted this so we could also get an EWS1 as well which sorted issues the leaseholders had with mortgages. They arrived on site when they said they would, were very polite and courteous and everything left in good condition once survey had been carried out. We are glad our management company chose this firm to carry out this work.

I was completely at a lost on what to do about a party wall notice I received for a 3 storey, 4 flat development that was next door to my home.  They had already started excavating.  The information on Anstey Horne's website about party wall notices is not only a wealth of information, it is also written in simple terms where someone like me with no knowledge could comprehend my rights and actions that I could take.  Out of all my research it is the best website for party wall information.  Once I knew what action to take I contacted Anstey Horne via their online website form and within a minute I was called.  Mark was amazing and gave me free advice on action to take.   I really like this company who are looking out for the little people like me and whom are striving to make changes to the industry for the betterment of society.

When we requested help with the sale of our leasehold flat, the service provided by Surveying Assistant, Sarah Taylor of Anstey Horne was invaluable. She assisted promptly and efficiently when our purchaser’s mortgage provider request an EWS1 for the cladding on our property. Sarah quickly allayed our anxieties and provided a clear and comprehensive response, refuting the need for an EWS1, which saved us nearly ninety thousand pounds. Anstey Horne also generously allowed us to share the information Sarah provided with our freeholder Council, so that other residents in our block could benefit when selling their leasehold properties. We are so grateful for Anstey Horne’s generosity and for Sarah’s kindness and expertise.

Gordon was extremely helpful when I needed urgent party wall advice. He promptly replied to emails with plenty of helpful information, which greatly assisted me in settling a dispute with my neighbour. Anstey Horne & Co was really helpful in writing a letter to aid my re mortgage completion. The mortgage company had requested a fire safety survey which was not necessary for the type of property I own, a converted semidetached 1930 house. Sarah Taylor the surveying assistant wrote a pro bono letter making it clear to the mortgage company that this was not required. Very professional and helpful service. I can’t thank them enough.

Tony was able to conduct the survey with an incredibly quick turn around and to a very high standard. The report was extremely thorough and Tony went to great lengths to ensure that we understood everything and answered all questions. Dear Anstey Horne, I would like to apologise for the delay with my sending the review on the service received from your company. I am very grateful to Mark Amodio for taking time to speak with me and answer my questions regarding my neighbours building works that I understand will now take place early 2022 at 8 Nelson Road, E11 2AX. Mark assured me that I can contact him if there are any problems or damage to my property 9 Nelson Road E11 2AX caused either during the works or once works have been completed. Lisa Romano one of your administrators has been extremly helpful and gone out of her way to assist if Mark was unavailable. Jordon, theSureyor who attended my property to make the report and take the nessasary photos for the Party Wall Agreement Act was very polite and personable. I understand that there will be an inspection once the builders, North London Loft Rooms who will be carrying out the works have finished. Regards. Tony at Anstey Horne recently carried out a survey on a residential property I was buying. He was extremely thorough, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The survey was done within a few days of my initial enquiry, and the report I received was very detailed. When I had further queries Tony came back to me immediately with further explanations. I would highly recommend this Company, and Tony in particular. I will definitely use them again when buying another property.

I'm really glad I chose Anstey Horne Manchester to carry out my request for a L2 survey on a property I purchased. Tony Leishman was brilliant from start to finish,he was always available for any questions I had. He fully explained his report in detail. We contacted Mark omodio regarding a party wall issue as the neighbor above had appointed him as her surveyor. Initially he seemed helpful and advised that we could not appoint him, due to the neighbor requesting this. He recommended another surveyor. We then called him again to discuss the situation regarding his client, and he ended the call. We tried calling back but he didn't answer. Don't bother with this company ....very unprofessional!

I deeply regret using this company to handle my side of a party wall dispute. Their senior director Mark Amodio has behaved unprofessionally throughout. He has repeatedly failed to respond to even basic requests for information. He has taken up to eight weeks to respond to the building owners surveyor. He has allowed the adjoining surveyor to drag the process out. Worst of all, when I had a quote for approx £800 to repair the damages caused by my neighbours builders, Mark agreed to a sum of half that cost. My neighbour did not dispute the damage. My neighbour did not have a different quote for cost of repairs. Mark's reasoning for this, in his own words: “Given the quantum for the dispute and the disproportionate amount of time myself and Jean-Pierre* are spending; this is the fairest outcome for the parties. Should you not agree with my Award; you are at liberty to appeal it in court.” *Jean Pierre is the neighbours surveyor I finally raised up the complaint procedure at Anstey Horne and the senior management did finally get me the full amount. But like all of this process, I had to use my time and energy to make up for Mark's failure to act professionally. I have raised a complaint to RICS and the CIOB about this.

These guys are criminals - avoid at all costs. I appointed them to complete an EWS1 survey on my flat in London. Initially priced £3000 for a phase 1 and provided all photos and documentation required to avoid having to do an intrusive survey – it was clear the wall build up from the photos and clear the building qualified for an EWS1 B1 Rating. Anstey Homes refused to issue / listen and insisted a Stage 2 intrusive investigation was required for an additional £8,000. I have subsequently appointed and had an EWS1 issued for £2,500 in total from a different company. Avoid, avoid, avoid… only in it for the additional fees and not the customer with no clarity around process and terrible communication.
