Ver good indeed. Easy to fit. Well made and by using as sit only when needed I easily get 50 miles and we live in hilly country.

I LOVE my Swytch kit and it has made a world of difference to my biking adventures. At age 75, I am very fit but when you have only a 7 speed lady's cruiser, having the electric assist is like magic. AND, while the rear wheel is a bit heavy for me to hoist my bike up on my car rack, I back up to raised curbs when available (at my residence) and use stepping stools to rest the bike on as a halfway measure and then I can get it up and over the arms of the rack. (my rack is portable and fits over the back window and tail gait of my Subaru Outback Wagon.) I have not found the battery on the handle bars to be too heavy to balance and in fact it seems to even out the weight on the bike overall. Some electric bikes have everything in the rear of the bike, making it impossible to lift. Everywhere I go, I get comments and inquiries. Of course the price is right as well. Thanks Swytch, I love clever designs and thinkers and you are certainly that!

A very simple kit that attaches to your current bike and converts it to an e bike! Yes some bikes might need a bit of a fiddle but its all worth it in the end. I ordered a complete E bike with the kit and I am very happy with it , the battery is on the handlebars so this does take a few minutes to get used to but soon your off. I do use mine with my wife for commuting and enjoying the countryside where I live in hilly Wales . Switch users are happy to pass on advice and knowledge if you do decide to become one of the many Swytchers!

Swytch kit was very easy to fit to our Dawes tandem. Works very well and helps massively on the hills especially when my stoker is taking a breather. My second 50mile kit is fitted to an old mountain bike and is now serving as my commuter bike for a daily 20 miles round trip on bridleways and backroads. Knocked 25% off my commute time and no need for a shower when I get to work. Great product and great after sales support based on my own experience.

I bought the Brompton 25 mile Version Pros -Great Value -Fits 2010 Brompton -Moderate experience required to install. -Configurable to set my desired acceleration -No speed limit power drop off aka the cliff. -It can maintain 16 mph. -Good customer support if you can visit their HQ in Hackney -10 miles on full motor assistance Cons -Cannot link Acceleration to Cadence -Requires conductive grease to maintain stable battery to motor connection -Does not come with a torque arm. -Pedal sensor requires a harder rubber support to stay put. -Battery requires wiggling to pull out of the hub -Battery does not charge iPhones

Wow, this kit has everything you need to convert a regular pedal bike, in my case a 26" wheel mountain bike, into smooth, powerful workout/commuting machine! It's very well thought out and was very easy to assemble, assuming you have experience taking wheels off, adjusting brakes, etc. What I really appreciate is I can remove the battery and swap the front wheel out in less than 5 mins and have my lightweight mountain bike back whenever I chose to. The workout potential of this bike is huge, with my kit installed I can power this bike on road at speeds of 25 mph and cover vast distances simultaneously, it's very inspiring. I can't wait to try out the new lighter battery, the original one is a little heavy, but still a great performer. -thanks, SwytchBike, Mark Gilbert, FL, USA.

Y'know, there was a time when my Brompton spent most of its life sitting by the door looking miserable and gathering dust. Then I Swytch'd it on... It now forms a crucial part of my daily journey to work. It's only ten miles a day, there and back again, with a fifteen mile public transport link in the middle each way, but it's quicker, more reliable and more fun than either the local bus service or a car share. The Swytch kit was easy to fit. It arrived at three in the afternoon and I had it running just after four (and that included ten minutes looking for a nut to replace one I'd lost then, as often happens, subsequently found once I'd located a replacement!) It runs well. I've only done a couple of hundred miles or so on it so far but I'm quite impressed. It irons out the hills and those are something we have in plentiful supply in Scotland. The close gearing on my Brompton means I still have to do some leg work to extract every last bit of assistance out of the controller but I can happily coast uphill at 12mph rather than being out of the saddle and mashing the pedals. It seems to cope well with wet weather, another thing I can guarantee subjecting it to...still to find out how the power pack likes the cold! Gripes? Just a couple. I bought the inline brake cutout switches but didn't fit them. I don't think they're necessary, although I might see if I can use them to add brake light functionality to my rear light. The strap on the battery pack is too short to use over the shoulder. The light on the controller/battery pack is not particularly effective and it might have been better to have some functionality on the pack such as a Go-pro/Garmin/etc mount given that it takes up so much valuable handlebar space. I'm really glad I made the Swytch and I'm already thinking about Swytching another bike so I can make my full commute on two wheels...

Hi Lenny, The email came up with the same format as an answer to a request for support, with a list of links and solutions to problems. No problem...here is our review for the Swytch super backer status! Swytch 700c 50 mile kit We have had our Marin San Rafael hybrid bikes for about six years at our house in France. However, due to the pretty difficult hills around there, we had hardly used them. The conversion kit appeared to provide a really good solution, to using existing good bikes, with little wear and tear, without going down the ‘another new bike’ scenario! We had read a few reviews and seen some information on the net regarding the kits...but in the end we took a chance when we bought the two conversion kits. However, we have not been disappointed in any way at all! Great things 1. The kits arrived post free to our house in France. 2. Customer service re. a change of delivery address was good. 3. We took our time fitting the kits, and in all it took about 1.5 hours for both bikes. I had seen some reviews that suggested using sugru as an adhesive for the sensor, and had bought some in anticipation. That was a good thing, as it was needed for our conversion. The adhesive has been excellent. Adapting the sensor was easy. The whole conversion was without problems. 4. The power is easily adjusted, and in conjunction with gear changes, optimises the power available. 5. When we did have a minor problem, we had good support, and the issue was resolved very quickly. 6. We have cycled quite a bit since converting our bikes, and the power is delivered efficiently when you need it. This has included category 4 climbs. 7. The bikes don’t look like they are running on electric power! 8. The overall weight of the bike is considerably less than a pure electric bike. 9. Easy to fit. 10. Magic carpet experience. We would recommend it to anyone who wants Ann exsisting bike electrified

As a part time Deliveroo rider, I've put this thing through the mill and it has never let me down. It's helped my girlfriend enjoy cycling more and given her more confidence on the road.

I bought the Swytch Brompton kit to extend the range of my Brompton bike, which I mostly use when flying a helicopter. When I land somewhere out of the airport, I use the bike to get to nearest town to get decent lunch and return soon enough to wait for my passengers to return. With Swytch kit I can head out 10+ miles without the fear of returning late or exhausted. Swytch kit turned my Brompton to a very meaningful extension mean of transport on my helicopter trips. It is also lightweight enough not to compromise the payload of the helicopter itself. I know that this is quite special case but both Brompton and Swytch are quite special products so it goes well together with special use cases. I would recommend this combination to any pilot who needs to solve his transportation needs out of home airport.

I have had no problems with my Swytch 28 " 50 miler throttle only. I am now over 1500 miles and still going strong. My 14 mile commute is great! I recharge after each leg. I have only had to spray the contacts (using MAP sensor cleaner) when I noticed engagement of the motor when stopped. I temporarily fixed this by whapping the right side of battery with my hand. Yesterday I rode 18.5 miles out (59 min) and back (69 min) to donate platelets. I charged the battery while donating (about 2 hours). The battery gave out less than 2 miles short.

Great kit. For me it was easy to fit, I did have to modify the Pedal Assist Sensor by cutting off the bracket from the back to get it to fit because of the size and shape of the down tube on my bike, but it was easy to do. After fitting the kit it worked first time. Hills and head winds are now no problem on my commute.

Swytch Bike has changed my life. I fitted it within a couple of hours (ok, ok, I had the brake sensors fitted by my local bike shop) and was out that day. Since then, I’ve easily made back the cost of the kit from saved tube fares and had hours of fun out and about on my bike. Uphill is the new downhill... and my teeth are cold from all the smiling I’m doing as I whizz about. The battery recharges quickly, the kit has weathered fine on my bike and the support team have been awesome with any small issues that are inevitable with the first waves of a product like this. Thank you, Swytch Bike, for saving me money, giving me so much fun and unlocking parts of London (and beyond) I previously steered clear of!
