I ordered a Canon Vixia HR G60 4k camcorder with the Deluxe Accessory bundle. It was a quick delivery and when I opened it there was a strong chemical smell from somewhere in the bundle. The camcorder was the genuine item and I can't fault SLRHut for its prices, however, the 'Deluxe' accessory bundle was of very poor quality and I simply wouldn't trust the items with a brand new camera. The tripod legs wobbled and at a guess it was worth about £3.50 to make. All items were of a very cheap quality and I will probably bin most of it if not all of it. The bag had foist/mold all over it. All the other bits were of equally poor quality except the tripod dolly which stands a chance of me using it. I had a problem getting through to customer services (if they exist) and ended up complaining and asking for a refund via the Sales line for the £95 difference it cost from only the camera to camera plus bundle. I was offered £40 compensation to avoid the cost of returning it which I accepted as I was beginning to get the feeling it wasn't worth the trouble. SLRHut defintely off any future shopping lists and the accessories by Ultimax are definitely.

i ordered sonyzv 1 through paypal. then they sent me a message that they tried calling me to confirm my adress. when they call me they tell me it might take them another 2 weeks extra to get sony zv1 because its out of stock. and they were : well do you still want it?let me call you back in 5 min. i call them back and i was like you sure you will get the camera in 2 weeks. "we are not sure and we do not know when the item might arrive ." but you still want the item? what scammers.! NO! of course not ! they aparantly canceled my order. its been a week. my money have not been returned. and on their website the same camera that is supposed to be out of stock is "avalabile" . meaning they do this to other costumers. they take your money just to inform you they dont have the item . its a joke .

If you are a UK based buyer, steel clear from these frauds. Their .co.uk address is quite misleading. My camera arrived from the US and although it came in time, there are several issues here. They are selling Sony A6400 with 16-50 lens at 849 which felt like too good to be true and it was. They are selling refurbished/used cameras as brand new. The box was missing a seal, no documentation whatsoever and the body and lens had scratches. I still didn't mind since it was a steal at 849 but then I checked the shutter actuation and it's about 300+. This is clearly misleading as they market it as new. You can't even return it as easily since they are US based and charge a whooping 10+% re-stocking fee. Do yourself a favour and buy locally, at least they will respect your statutory rights, unlike SLRHut.

I purchased an Canon R5 from SLR Hut. The second time I used it the shutter button become lose and then came off in by had. Their support is outsourced and after first ignoring my email they told me this was physical damage and not covered under warranty. Just be aware buying from SLR hut is fine if your product arrives and it working if not you are on your own.

Ordered a Insta 360 x one 2 on the 2nd August 2021, it’s now 25th September 2021 and still not arrived. I contacted FedEx the courier who told me they had lost the item and given SLR hut a refund, case number supplied. SLR hut will not respond to my calls or emails, now had to get PayPal involved and they are not cooperating with them either. Disgraceful lack of service, total lack of cooperation with sorting out or communication. Avoid like the plague buying anything from this sham of a company.

I recently bought a NIKON D3500 SLR with accessories from SLRhut. The camera and accessories were advertised as new. I trusted the company - they advertise '5* Trustpilot reviews' on their website and use Paypal as their payment method, so I thought the purchase was legitimate. The camera was also a similar price (slightly cheaper) than more well established brands, so nothing to provoke undue suspicion. However, when the camera arrived, it was clear both it and the accessories had previously been used. The security seals and box seals were missing from the camera. The protective screen film had been pealed off and shoddily placed back over the viewing screen. The lens boxes had been handled numerous times and were clearly second hand. I was extremely anxious when I then checked SLRhut reviews online to find multiple people had similar experiences. They clearly make their profit by selling second hand stock as new or old (US) stock to UK markets when it is out of warranty. They portray themselves as a UK company but are based in the US, making contact difficult. It was very difficult to contact SLRhut to ask for a refund. When I informed the handler in America that the camera was clearly second hand, he voiced no surprise and offered no apology. He assured me I would be offered a full refund if I returned the camera, and that a label would be sent out to me via email. The first label the company emailed had the wrong equipment details, item value and insurance value on it. I contacted SLRhut and was assured this would suffice for postage. Sure enough, the camera was returned immediately to me by the courier. The second time I contacted SLRhut about the return, they sent me another label and assured me this would suffice. The camera was returned to me again by the courier. It was the same story the third time. Three 1/2 weeks after my initial complaint about the second hand goods, SLRhut finally sent me a correct label and informed me I had to leave the Lithium battery in the camera in order for customs to accept it. This had never been explained prior to this and after looking into it, I am not sure if this is even allowed. Nevertheless, it was accepted and arrived at the SLRhut office in New Jersey, USA. However, I still have not received a refund from SLRhut and it is nearly 2 weeks since they received the item. Fortunately, as Paypal was my method of payment, I raised a dispute for this transaction through their service. After both me and SLRhut provided evidence of our transaction, Paypal have ruled in my favour and I am receiving a full refund from them, which Paypal will force through. I am still not convinced SLRhut would have refunded me if I had not done this. Bottom line - this company is a scam. They will sell you grey stock, or second hand goods and then delay, delay, delay until you either give up, or they will delay your refund another way. Stay away from them. It isn't worth saving £30-40 for the hassle and the terrible equipment.

I was a little thrown by the mixed reviews on the website. I called up the company which is based in America and I had an amazing conversation with a seller known as John Patrick. I asked several questions about the company, the product, the integrity of the product and the delivery. He was so helpful that he put down the price of my order, giving me free shipping fee and no extra cost. He upsold me an accessory for the camera and put the price down for 100 to 35. He was more than helpful and completely made me feel more than comfortable about my purchase. I was nervous only because it was alot of money to hand over. However, everything came within 3 days, all items were included too, especially the camera which was brand new and in working order. Obviously other buyers have had bad luck with this website, but that wasnt the experience I had. If I could give more than 5 stars for the customer service and dedication John brought to me, I would. So thank you again and thank you for my purchase and going above and beyond the call of duty.

I bought a Panasonic camera from them in Feb 2021. The day after my order, someone from this seller called me from an unknown number and tried to sell me extra accessories for the camera! and told me that my order is ready to dispatch. I never received the camera (actually it was not been sent ever). So I chased the issue several times by phone and e-mail. They never answered the calls (pretending that they are very busy and keep you behind the line for hours !) and just replied to one of my several e-mails (my 5th email). Also, they do not reply to your chat! After several emails, finally been told that they can not supply the item and asking me to change the model to another type. Then I sent my cancellation request several times but never was replied. Eventually, I got my money back by asking Paypal to step in. Stay away from these dodgy people and fraudulent company who their registered address in the UK is a Nail & Beauty shop!

Poor experience. Ordered a £700 camera lens. Was told Jan 4th it was being despatched and I would get the tracking number, a week went by and nothing. Contacted them to be told stock was coming in that week so then my order would be shipped. A week later nothing, called them again to be told they were waiting for stock to come the following week so cancelled my order. Waste of 3 weeks and plenty of time chasing.

Order number 260945 Exact same experience as the review below so far! Ordered an in stock item and paid £19.99 for "express delivery" only to chase up and be told they are "awaiting stock"...they're still advertising the product as in stock! The customer service has so far been an absolute disgrace. Phoned near on 30 times with no answer and sent numerous e-mails with no reply. Would not be surprised if i'm chasing this lot for weeks going by the reviews below. Verging on a scam the way they are operating!! If they manage to get me my product this week (which is a christmas present!!) I will happily change my review but so far this has been the worst service I have ever received from a company.

Awful, scam company. Had no problem taking my money for a product they knew they didn't actually have in stock, once they had it I started getting hassled by random American numbers to swap my order for something else. Tried to cancel the order, still haven't had my money back two weeks on, just endless hassle for such an innocuous purchase. Other people have left good reviews so I guess if you need something simple and common you might get lucky but make no mistake, you WERE lucky. Never felt more confident in calling a company con artists, avoid like the plague. There's plenty of alternatives out there, this isn't worth it for the sake of a little saving in price.

I bought a Canon XA40 from SLR Hut, which quickly stopped working. I was then advised to send it to them as a return (they didn't cover shipping costs). I can see that they have received and signed for the camera, so it has been delivered over a month ago yet I have heard nothing. I call but can't get through and my emails are ignored. SLR hut have essentially stolen over £1,300 from me which I am struggling to get back and cannot afford to be without. Avoid this company like the plague.

I purchased a camera, and it came sooner than expected, even with the ongoing Pandemic, everything arrived in orderly fashion. one pet peeve is they sent a flash in my bundle which is not compatible with my camera. oh and theyre also based in NYC, not sure if this affects statutory rights.

I really cannot believe the negative reviews, from first contact slrhut have been amazing, really helpful on the phone when I called to confirm my order and also recommend an additional battery which being a beginner I wouldn't have know to get a longer life battery. My canon 2000d arrived today (a day early than stated) amazing I cannot thank you all enough, please don't take the negative reviews on board, see for yourself they are fab!

Cheap products but appalling service - Take your gamble From other reviews, it seems if you get your product delivered you can appreciate the cheap price. If you don't get your product delivered the service is appalling. Today is 14/3/20 and on 6/12/19 I spent £549 on a camera, tripod, lens and battery equipment package that got lost in transit by FedEx. FedEx admitted the loss and have written a letter to that effect. I provided the letter to SLRhut (they made me phone their carrier and chase through the loss!), but they won't refund me, because the FedEx web-tracker says it has been delivered and FedEx say they can’t change this, but I suspect it’s more likely to be, because they only declared the value of the package to be £119 on the FedEx paperwork and that would be the amount they can claim back from FedEx. I escalated to Paypal through 2x claims and SLRhut won't talk to me anymore as they insist it is out of their hands now, even though both cases are closed! I have provided Paypal with the FedEx admission that they lost the package in transit, but in both claims Paypal have accepted the evidence of delivery provided by SLRhut which is the FedEx web-tracker which shows the package was delivered 6/12/19. FedEx insist they can't change the date on here and that's why they provided the full admission of liability for the loss on headed paper that I have provided to SLRhut and Paypal, but they keep saying they cannot accept this letter. Only what it says on the web-tracker that I can't get changed at the moment! Paypal also suggested I appeal to my bank by making a 'Bank Claim' which you can do with 'Debit' as well as 'Credit' card payments, but I was told by my bank that as I use Direct Debit to pay Paypal I had to use the 'Direct Debit Indemnity' scheme. Unfortunately, the ‘faulty’ transaction has to be between the bank and the company providing the products so having Paypal in the middle has actually removed this protection. I will continue to try and get FedEx to change the date on the web-tracker and to get SLRhut to stop saying "this is a Paypal dispute and their hands are tied", until such time as I get my refund. I'm also moving into the next phase of contacting Money/Consumer websites and organisations and press and there's still the small claims court to follow that.
