Poor customer service and poor quality. Ordered some dresses for a ball, they were awful when they arrived, fabric was horrible and they were expensive! Not at all worth the £66+ for each dress! Didn’t realize the returns period was 14 days and my daughter had been very poorly so was quite distracted. Presumed the returns period would be 28 days as most places are online, when my baby was better I tried to return the item and was unable to. Explained this via their customer service online chat but they refused to refund then £130 on two dresses that I’m now stuck with. It’s quite a considerable amount of money and I feel extenuating circumstances. I will never purchase from Silk Fred again and would highly recommend if anyone does they look at the returns period and look elsewhere for much better quality dresses at a fraction of the price! I ended up buying my dress from Bohoo for £28. Far superior quality and service. Also always purchase from ASOS and never have had any issues with them! Returns policy is also fab! I understand there is a 14 days return policy but I think in certain circumstances a little decent customer service would go a long way.

Do not buy from this company. I spent over £200 on dresses for a wedding. One dress arrived which I decided to return as the fabric was such poor quality…still waiting on a refund for that return which was over two weeks ago. The rest of the dresses were never delivered, either stolen by the courier or off of my doorstep whilst I was at work. I have been speaking to SillFred regarding this for a month now and still have no idea what is going on. They have now stopped responding now that I have requested a refund. I cannot afford to just spend £200 on clothes that never arrive and I feel completely at a loss with what I should do.

They lost my package, were sympathetic but slow at responding and left me without an outfit! It could have been shipped next day but apparently that was too much to ask after spending nearly £300 with them! Choose better couriers or offer better alternatives!

I can see we sorted this issue for you within just over an hour and as it was too late to ship a replacement on next day delivery we processed a refunded as requested if it wouldn't reach you in time. I do understand this is disappointing to not have the order in time however courier delays are out of our control and I can only apologise on their behalf. Do not buy from silkfred!!! Have been a good customer to this brand, never had to send an item back before this one.sent coat back on 10th Jan, they sent an email to me confirming that the item was received on 20th Dec,said my £65 refund would be with me by the 3rd Jan, after numerous emails back and forth and promises from the so call team, it is the 7th Jan now and still no refund and just generic replies. I can ill afford to lose nor wait for my £65 refund, I am sick of the excuses. Silkfred needs investigating, this is theft , know doubt I will get another pathetic 'we are so sorry' reply well your not sorry ,just give me my money back, other companies never take this long. Something is very wrong with this company, think twice before you buy anything, they are out to rip you off!!!!

This company charges so much for delivery for sale items and then you have to pay to return sales items. I also didn’t have a package delivered and they were no help so I lost the money I paid for the item. They really need to catch up with the times and sort their delivery prices out. A lot of people buy sale items, but then have to pay for postage is a joke. I was going to order 3 dresses but I won’t now as it’s nearly £8 delivery and I’ll have to pay return costs id they don’t fit.

Hi there, I am really sorry to read how disappointed you are. We do charge a £2 return fee for sale items however we do offer free UK return on full priced items. I have bought and returned a number of items from Silk Fred over the last 4 years and have been really pleased with my purchases and ease of return. However - I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I ordered an item which was not suitable. I was not given the option to return it on my account because the status was - and still is - track package only. When I contacted SF about this - initially I had no response. Today - via live chat - they have told me that as I didn’t return it within 14 days - I cannot have a refund . The customer service live chat did not seem to get the message that I had no option on my account to return it. I have taken pics of the status of the item on my account. Just awful. So surprised and disappointed that I will not have the confidence to order anything from them again.

Hi Jan, I am so sorry to read how disappointed you are. As stated on our returns T&C's a return does need to be put through on your account within 14 days of delivery. If you do come across any issues when requesting a return, please do contact us straight away and we can of course get this resolved for you. ABSOLUTE CON !! I will not buy from silk Fred again Return an item the next day after it was delivered as did not fit . I later had the item returned to me With an email say I had worn it and it smell of smoke !! I do not smoke !! The labels are All still attached and the one on the outside of the clothing Soo angry How many other people they done this to

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I returned a dress (£49.99) as it didn’t fit. I followed the returns procedure via SilkFreds website. Evri provided the returns label and I printed it at home and dropped item at designated parcel drop shop. I have provided photographic evidence of my paper receipt to SilkFred when I did not receive my refund. Only to be told that I had sent it to the wrong address and was therefore not eligible for a refund! I have sent countless emails providing all evidence of my return of the item only to be met with more evasive rubbish about being at fault and then them blaming Evri. Evri is silkfreds chosen delivery service but they take no responsibility for anything. Evri now seem to have not delivered my item to anywhere!! It’s been over a month. This has got to be a well thought out scam. Beware.

Hi Lisa, I am really sorry to read this. I have looked into this and can see your refund has been processed. Evri is not the courier stated to use on our returns process. we do send Royal Mail labels to customers when a return is requested. Another customer who missed the 14 day return notification period by a few days. Same response from customer services as everyone else seems to have received even though they would get items back within a 28 day window. Terrible and unhelpful customer service. I will not be ordering from them again and recommend nobody else does either.

As a website for independent brands, we can only accept return withs a request on them within 14 days. This is stated online and on our returns form. My suggestion don’t ever buy from SilkFred my order never delivered. After waiting for 10 days I emailed them that my parcel has not been received they came back to me that we have processed your refund as your parcel has been misplaced. I told them I don’t need a refund send me my parcel again who told you to do the refund because my card from which I did the payment has been hacked and it was canceled from the bank ,the lady kara she lied to me and said that the refund has been done three days back but when I got the refund receipt the refund was done after my email .they don’t value the customers she said that we have thousands of parcels we cannot focus on one parcel.

Hi there, I am sorry to read this. Unfortunately your order was lost in transit for a full refund was processed. If your card has been cancelled from the bank, and a refund has been processed, you bank will be able to transfer funds across. I would advise you to contact them. Do not buy from this company, if you have any issues you just get an automated response! Placed an order 4th of august was told 5 working days for delivery, it’s now 18th still nothing, looking into raising a CCJ claim against them, also looking into it on behalf of several other customers they have !

I can’t believe you have had some negative reviews. Quality is great. Style and cut superb. I have so far ordered 2 dresses which I have had good comments about. I can’t comment on returns as I have not had to return anything. Sizing is true. Quick delivery - what’s not to like! I feel a million dollars in my purchases. Let’s hope future orders are as good.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Poor quality fabric which has rubbed after only wearing the dress for one day. Contacted customer services who refused to allow me to return for a refund. Beth disappointing service. I would not recommend and will not buy from Silk Fred again

I have only used silkfred once and will not be using this company again. I ordered 3 dresses 2 arrived together the 3rd arrived from Joli Moi, all 3 dresses were too long so sent them back. The 2 dresses from silkfred were refunded however because I sent the 3rd dress to silkfred instead of Joli Moi they are refusing to refund the 69.00. All dresses were tracked and received by SilkFred but are adamant the 3rd dress is missing. I also contacted Joli Moi direct but received the same response so will not be using either company again. Looking at previous reviews it seems to be a pattern.

BEWARE WHEN RETURNING ITEMS! Like some other reviews on here, I too returned an item and was refused a refund for not sending it back in its origainal condition...excuse me...I sent it back in perfect condition, it was Silkfred that sent it back not its original condition! The £129 dress from Doll & Rag was returned to me (19th they recieved the item, 22nd back through my door...🤔 extemly quick) with muliple marks on it. I just wish I could post a picture of the marks, looks like I've brushed my teeth and dribbled down one side of it. The bloody cheek of it. No way was this caused by myself. I only tried it on and placed straight back into the original packaging. Silkfreds response "Unfortunately, as the order was returned not in its original condition, the brand is unable to issue refund." Something seriously dodgy going on here. It seems its my word against the companys so will be seeking further legal advice. I just hope they dont pull the same trick/get ripped off on the other returned dress £139. One positve thing, I do love the dress I kept. My advice is to film the packing process of any returns lol. As this was my first order with Silkfred, sadly I will not be purchasing from them again. Such a shame as there are some beautiful dresses I would of ordered. Once bitten twice shy.

Do not order from this company. This was my first time ordering with Silk Fred and it will be my last. Ordered several dresses as I was looking for bridesmaid dresses and they have absolutely ruined the experience for me. Claiming that a fault already on the dress has been caused by me and sending a random photo thinking that shows proof of it. Looking at other reviews this is a classic tactic that they seem to do with all of their customers. They are now withholding my money without my acceptance. Honestly stay away it’s not worth the significant stress I am now experiencing. Also in a cost of living crisis withholding peoples money for no fault of theirs is absolutely unacceptable. Do better SilkFred.
