“Some of the lessons are a little confusing because they’re short, fortunately you can retake quizzes until you get it right. I’d go 3.5 if I could.”

“I find it to be ok. It gives you the information, but it's rather dense and dull reading. At least it's quick enough to get through. The website could use some updating. Such as letting you skip to the page you were last on instead of recommending you bookmark it or have to go one page at a time to get back.”

“It seems to have adequate information and resources, but the course is incredibly boring and could be much more concise. (I was not an English major, but I did graduate with a Communications Degree and took many different classes to fulfill that. )”

“I've just finished Module 5 of a course comprised of ten modules. So far so good. I feel like the course is relevant and informative. I'm currently working as an English language tutor, and I see numerous opportunities to apply what I'm learning. However, the course suffers from two weaknesses. First, there are copious errors and typos in the textual content. Just about every screen is riddled with them. Second, the course platform lacks basic study tools like flashcards and practice quizzes, which would improve information retention. I'm withholding one star for each of these shortcomings.”

“I'm unsure why I'm being prompted to evaluate the program when I'm only halfway finished but responding to the prompt seems to be required, hence the 3 stars rating. I can say that so far the material has been a great reminder of my elementary school lessons (along with some new material and teaching tips/techniques)... and who doesn't need that? The time each section is estimated it to take seems considerably overestimated (not exactly a problem) and I've had a few issues with dreadfully unclear test questions but the retake system resolves those well enough. I look forward to being able to do a full review once I've passed the course, found a position and actually implemented its teachings. Until then, how could anyone actually know how well they are being prepared?”

“Wish there were more quizzes or chances for interaction within each Module. Having an hour long quiz or longer at the end without any chance to apply or check what you're learning throughout the Module is somewhat demotivating. Also there were lots of grammatical and punctuation errors throughout which is surprising considering what the course is and the focus of Module 11. Maybe consider an editor to go through and clean it up? Otherwise could not be more grateful for all of the resources and activity ideas given throughout the course. Between the books, websites, and printable materials, I already feel like I have a lot of tools in my EFL toolbox. Thank you for the head start!”

“Premier TEFL is great if you don't have time for a formal learning environment. However, if you're looking for any kind of interaction and/or motivation, don't expect it from this online course. Like many online courses, there is not a lot of engaging activities available for students.”

“Good and fast course on the basics of TEFL.”

“The courseware and communication was very good. However I often found logging in difficult and would have to go through my history to a previous login page in order to be able to log into my account. Also I found the cost of receiving a physical certificate was excessive (over double that which other providers have charged) and so I did not opt to receive hard copies of my certificates.”

“I have been impressed with some modules (thorough, informative, organized), while others have been somewhat disappointing (too basic, repetitive, disorganized). Considering this is a TEFL course, I was bummed when I encountered a handful of spelling and grammar mistakes. Some of the quiz questions are also confusing and difficult to understand. I am pleased with the flexibility of the course and the quantity of the information, but I think the overall quality of the course should be improved.”

“The staff have been very helpful and accessible with any questions I've had. As far as the course itself, I took the 168 hour course. I found the grammar review and ideas for activities in the classroom helpful but other sections I found common sense and not that useful. They did have a few videos of actual TEFL classrooms where you could see instructors actually teaching, I'd recommend more of those as they were extremely helpful.”
