“Had to write this review as someone is saying that the clothes are not good TOTALLY DISAGEE...I've bought loads of fashionable clothes & they're good quality & smart loads of my friends also have bought clothes from Poundland good quality & smart well done Poundland. Scarborough North Yorkshire staff also are very Helpful and polite 😊🙏👍”

“On a visit to my local Poundland I recently i found one of the counter staff very rude and intimidating We had been stood at the tills waiting to be served at least 5 minutes as she came to the counter was laughing and joking over the works ear piece she was wearing and continued to do so while serving looking at myself and my mother while serving then laughing. We both found this very intimidating and unprofessional On speaking to the manger he did apologise and said would speak to her unfortunately i feel this wont be the case and not a good look for your store I came out of your store disappointed as-well as angry at way made feel This is not way customer should be served and feel on leaving”

“I went into new Leicester store (old wilko Lee circle)it was very big spacious but the service given by cashier named Harish was fabulous as being OAP very polite friendly and curtious greeted with a smile Although a Q was building up he rapidly packed my shopping and called for another cashier .Very efficient and quick on till”

“Poundland Dalston had most of what I wanted so that is what my one star is for. However getting to the till I needed my paracetamol approved. Fine of course as someone who works in a shop that is not a problem for me. The girl at the self service looked at me, went to approve, and then looked at me again and asked my age. I said 25 and she gave me such a dirty look! Honestly it was blatant and just unnecessary. I look young, definitely not 18 or under young BUT I have ID so she could have checked it. As a retail worker I know challenge 18 and challenge 25 very very well and I would never look at customer that way or be rude in how to ask someone their age. She looked very young herself so no need for all of that. If in doubt ask for ID without making a horrible face. Overall I find most Poundland stores have staff who don't look happy and are unapproachable. My employers would tell me off if I was like that and poundland staff should be told off too.”

“One member of staff in the Pitsea store swore at me in front of my 10 & 9 year old children then told me she didnt know the store managers name they worse service ever, will be taking my custom to B&M in future.”

“Why is it still called Poundland there is not alot in the shops for a pound. I think they need to change the name if they are just going to keep on putting the price up on things I used to enjoy going to Poundland for lots of shopping but no more with the price of things in there”

“Went into my local Poundland in London (Roman road) was served by a young girl Who was absolutely rude. No greetings, no thank & no eye contact whilst serving me. I was about to make a payment through contact less & nothing was showing on the machine to say tap. She turned around & shouted out press the red button. I was shocked but she kept shouting. I asked her not to shout at me as I am paying for my services & not to be shouted at. She continued to to raise her voice & her colleague jumped in & tried to move her away. Then I asked for the store manager (Karim) who was not available so they tried to move her away. When I asked for her name to her colleague the girl started to shout out can’t you fuckin read & pointed to her badge (Linda). Absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the staff. People like that shouldn’t be dealing with customers. I’m still in shock that this happened while trying to pay for my shopping. We go pick our products, bag our items then get shouted at to pay. What type of behaviour is this. I’m sure this can’t be the first time this has happened & what actions will Poundland take.”

“Slippery floor with no response. No incentive to do anything about it. Customers amused by the fact. They don't answer telephones and block complaints by email. All I can say to you is.. karma will get you eventually.”

“I wanted a straight exchange for a larger size pair of jeans, I had no receipt, a supervisor told me I could not exchange the jeans, cashier was laughing at me in my distress, I had to wait to speak to manager for 40 minutes as she was on her break, (still in the building) . 2 minutes of her time would have saved me a lot of distress, fellow customers could not understand the attitude of 2 supervisors, and have gone onto Twitter and other public platforms, as will I.”

“Visited West Bromwich branch really arrogant women on till not helpful at all there's one thing you don't need when you get a job at this branch and that's manners and they wonder why customers treat them the way that they do if you want respect give some respect.”

“New store I Rotherham. On first visit week after opening, lady on till very pleasant and answered all my queries. Bought £1 wax melt burner in black, looks super in my flat. Again all staff cheerful.”

“Terrible customer service,not only from their head office but also the managers in the store. I don't expect to have the phone slammed down on me,nor do I expect someone I've never met to tell me the way I talk is too loud. I speak the way I do all of my life. If they can't handle irate customers they shouldnt be working in Customer relations. Also don't expect any great service from the manager Kerry in the Kilmarnock store inside The Burns centre,she as good as dealing with customers in the same way a handbrake on a canoe is any use”

“Left my ipad at the till in poundland the galleries Bristol. Didn't realize untill after closing time. I left a message on their answer phone and got a call first thing in the morning that they had found it. Thank you so much, fantastic people in there, especially the manager. Not everybody would have been this good about it. Thanks again, restored faith in humans.”

“Today in Clacton on Sea,Poundland (27th March 2023)…at 14.12hrs. There was only ONE shop person dealing with ALL the customers!! No one else on the tills. It is a huge shop…. ..and Health & Safety problems in there too, as ‘clothes’, and all sorts of other products and items were strewn across the shop floor, in all areas of the shop. I nearly slipped on them several times…and had to push them with my feet under the shelving to prevent other customers slipping on them. A real hazard for me, and for other customers too….it was disgraceful! Not a manager, nor other shop assistants there either… I did complain to this one andONLY Poundland person…re the Health and Safety issues!”

“i bought a waterproof padlock on 22-3-23 i got home checked my till receipt i found i had been charged for two padlocks when i had only purchased one so i,m not very happy.”
