“Congratulations to Peter Christian on every count! I recently ordered two pairs of men’s corduroy trousers. Not only did these arrive in very good time, but they are, without a shadow of doubt, the very best cords I have ever purchased from any source. Top quality material, professional tailoring, perfect fit. Other brands I have bought over the years, some of them considerably more expensive, have not fulfilled their promise. All best wishes to you from a highly satisfied customer in N. Ireland.”

“Been a customer on and off for years. Always good service and almost always good products. Latest buy is a couple of denim shirts. One, light blue has buttons - excellent. The other, dark blue, good material and very well made, has "Poppers", rather tricky for elderly fingers, but I'm managing!”

“In contrast to the unhappy customers here, I have experienced nothing but great service from PC in the UK. This week I ordered four pairs of trousers on Tuesday, which were delivered on Thursday. All are very well made in great colours. Previously, I have had to return some trousers as they were too long (I usually take a 31" leg but with Peter Christian 29" is long enough) and had a refund without any questions very quickly.”

“I like their clothes but made the mistake of visiting their only shop. The women who answered the door was very reluctant to let us in pointing out " it's lunchtime and you should have made an appointment. As far as I could see the shop was very scantily stocked. So shop on line and avoid the curmudgeon on the door”

“I was intrigued by the advertisement in the Wall Street Journal. Not knowing anything about this company I sought out some reviews. As mentioned by another reviewer, it appears that something has gone terribly wrong with customer service in the past year. Will hold off on ordering until I see some sort of explanation/reassurance from the company”

“We have no problem with the trousers only your customer service. Having bought six pairs we returned two pairs for a refund which after ten days has still not arrived. One of the people I spoke to was actually quite rude. This is the worst service I think we have ever received. After threading other reviews I am beginning to lose all confidence in you. Your questions do not allow for NO refund being sent.”

“Was just ready to order some for my husband but read the reviews. It seems a year ago, service was impeccable, but lately not so much. This put me off, alas. Plus it’s always difficult dealing with a foreign country and their postal systems/customs. Too bad”

“I generally am an easy fit for pants. I ordered my size from Peter Christian but they fit poorly and unevenly. Additionally the color was far brighter and saturated than portrayed in their website and yes my monitor is well calibrated. They took no responsibility, charged me $10.00 return fee, waited several weeks before return shipping after I had delivered to carrier and weeks later confirmed receipt of return. At that point they informed me it would be two to three weeks before a credit for the original purchase price only would appear on my credit card. I await that day and would NOT recommend purchasing from Peter Christian. This merchant does NOT respect its customers.”

“Do not order from this company! No delivery of my order even after more than a month. Customer service does not answer their e-mails and when I call them, they either don't answer at all or whoever answers says that they cannot help.”

“All well, until you have need to complain, hiding behind some sort of automated system ! It would seem that of the '10,000 pairs of identical shorts sold this year alone' mine were the only pair to be reported as faulty ! As regards concern or any sense of urgency to rectify - forget it, it's not a priority to this company.”

“I ordered chinos- not a good cut for me- not their fault. When I went to return them I had to pay $10 for a return label. 2 months later after multiple emails to customer service and auto responses, I was credited my original purchase amount- not the $10 return charge. Not worth the experience!”

“Great customer service. I had to return an item (my fault) and it was made very simple by the customer care person I spoke to. I am pleased with the cords I bought and will be buying more stuff in the future”

“I bought a top quality three piece tweed suit at a very reasonable price, and in a traditional cut which is now very difficult to find off the peg. Tip to purchasers: if you wish for turn-ups, buy long for your size and a tailor will make them for you at little cost. With regard to some earlier comments, when I have had to return items, eg for a different size, I have found the Company helpful and prompt. In this case, a small problem with the pressing of the jacket was quickly remedied.”

“So far, so good! I bought 3 pairs of cords, my first purchase. Beautiful and high quality. Ill wear them all winter. Also, bought a sweater that is very handsome. The PC styles are a little stodgy for me but you can't go wrong with the cords! Jay in Lexington, KY”

“I recently purchased my first pair of chinos after reading some positive reviews. I have never owned a pair of pants that wrinkled as badly as these. They are nearly impossible to press or hold a press. They look as if I slept in them. Extremely disappointep.”
