Visited the cross keys j d wetherspoon in Peebles 03/01/2024 to take part in there January sale offers but unfortunately got changed full price for myself and wife daughter and her husband when I queried it staff didn't know what items was on offer and when I showed them the offers online was told by the staff the sale was only in English wetherspoons. The staff have to be informed if the company are doing promotions very poor staff training and communication by management. Mr and Mrs w robin.

I have just had the worst scrambled eggs on toast of my whole life at The Five Swans in Newcastle Luke warm scrambled eggs that were dry , black in places and rubbery they were microwaved to within an inch of their life , disgusting is an understatement I would quite happily show the chef how to make scrambled eggs at best this was embarrassing am sure this will have repercussions on my guts and or bowels later

We, as the Royal British Legion bowls team, visited the Prense Well Weatherspoons on 31.08.2003. I have got to say that I was very impressed with the staff, decor and price of the meals and drinks! The only 'down' side of the visit was the fact that I had downloaded the app to place my order from the table. The app doubled up on the 2nd order (the first I knew about it was when the waitress delivered 2 glasses of red wine). When I checked the emailed receipt it all became clear and as soon as the waitress realised what had happened she immediately went to inform the chef that it was only one gourmet steak and the beef lasagne that was ordered! I received a refund 04.09.2003 for the 2nd steak.....needless to say that I kept the 2nd glass of red wine! We have now agreed to make the Prense Well a monthly get together as the bowls have now finished for the season.

Just been with friends to the Denmead Queen in Waterlooville. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food and drinks were very nice especially for the price. Must give a mention to Will whom rectified my order in a very pleasant manner. He is a polite and nice young man. We will be visiting again.

At St Ives Cambridgeshire today not really impressed. 2x Steaks for my family members were tasteless, unseasoned and stringy my own chicken burgher was so overcooked & dry it was inedible. On taking the 1st bite the base of the bun fell into 2 pieces. Needless to say won’t rush back

At Colwyn Bay Wales, Picture House. Ordered on the App. Excellent service. Lovely hot gourmet steak meal. Missing was the tomato. When I queried it was told ' we haven't got any'. A minor thing but perhaps it could have been substituted with an extra mushroom and an explanation offered.

Attended the William Ruffus in Carlisle with 21 other friends to celebrate my sons 30th birthday. We ordered a quantity of food and drinks with the intention of spending most of the day there as there was enough space to accommodate a large number of persons. I had an issue with a part of my food order not being delivered to my table, I approached the bar staff who acknowledged that the food hadn’t been delivered and stated that they would sort the problem and send it to my table. After waiting almost 20 minutes the food still hadn’t arrived so I spoke to a lady who stated she was the manager, I explained what had happened and she without even checking said well all the food was delivered. I explained that the girl behind the bar had acknowle dged that the food hadn’t been served and the manageress then said well that’s hard lines I’m not sending out the rest of the missing order. To be honest her attitude was ridiculous and downright rude. As a result our whole party decided to leave and give our custom to another establishment. I realise that in the big scheme of things the loss of a few hundred pounds can be absorbed big a large chain like witherspoons but if this is replicated elsewhere I think in these days of hardship people will choose to spend their money elsewhere.

I had the Christmas dinner today, it was awful, preformed round turkey slices sliced from a roll, no roast potatoes no parsnips, a 1 inch carrot, plastic mash and far to much gravy, so disappointed.

4 of us went for the Christmas dinner yesterday lunchtime (Sunday 11th December). After taking and paying for the meals, we are informed that only ONE meal is available, so refunded 3 to re-order. I thought I was the lucky one!!! NO. I can honestly say, it was the worst dinner I have ever had. One tiny carrot, no pigs in blankets, and mashed potatoes that had such a thick skin over it, I had to chew it! Dry turkey, which was awful. We were at Old Street branch table 11. After the meal, I ordered another bottle of wine ( it was our Xmas meal together!). I told a member of staff how disappointed I was with my meal, and she said.."sorry about that, but I never served it" Just not good enough and we won't be back not be recommending you either. A real disappointment!!

Today I had a Tennessee burger at the King of Wessex. The burger its self was very dry. Yesterday I had a burger in the Jolly Sailor this was also very dry. Normally they are good so has the burgers supplier changed?
