Was here today @the Torquay shop. I needed bin liners, and I always seem to buy the wrong ones. Either too big or too small. Anyway, I want to thank Aiden who helped me find the correct ones. He is an absolute Star !

I was in the Store today and was helped by a young staff member called James in the Whitehaven branch. He was very polite and extremely helpful. He was a credit to himself and the store.

I must praise your staff at Holderness Road branch in Hull. I rang the store to enquire regarding purcashing baby wool. Sarah a member of staff kindly laid the wool aside, until I went in the store this morning. Just wonderful service and the staff are so cheerful and helpful. Keep the good work up, M Robinson Louth

I was Irvine store. And feel that some management are not very efficient in there job as they treat as some staff irresponsibly. Where staff do not need to be treated like this. Senior management should be ashamed.jcm

Selling faulty goods and refusing to replace. Bought a set of bedding in store. After getting washing and going to put on the bed it became apparent that the item was faulty as there were no holes for the buttons to do the duvet cover up at the bottom. I contacted online customer support (with my receipt, and a video of the issue) to ask about maybe getting a replacement sent to me but they refused as it was an “in store” purchase so would have to go back there. I do not currently live particularly close to a store and have recently just come out of hospital so not in much of a condition to be leaving the house. I suggested them sending a courier collection from my address but they refused. I have now paid full price for a duvet cover that is faulty/ unusable that they will not do anything about helping sort for me. This seems ridiculous to me as it shouldn’t matter where you are if the item is faulty, you could have taken it to another country and it wouldn’t change the fact that it’s a manufacturer error even if you were abroad and unable to return to a store. Complete con.

I parked at Home Bargains Whitehaven and my wife who has had a mini stroke and cancer last year and therefore a bit slow did a lot of Chrstmas shopping but took a long time spending £142.00. Nearly two weeks later on 06-12-2022 I got an £85 parking fine notice. I guess if you shop too long at Home Bargains or spend too much you get fined. What a gem of a company.

I visited the Airdrie store to do some Christmas shopping. The shop was well organised and spotless including the floor. There were friendly helpful staff, especially the manager, he was so obliging helping me look for particular items. He went above and beyond to help me get everything I needed. I couldn't recommend the store enough.

THE AWFUL MUSIC IS FAR TOO LOUD. IT IS SO ANNOYING THAT IT MAKES ME ANGRY. THIS SORT OF AUDIO EXCREMENT SHOULD BE USED AS BACKGROUND NOISE ONLY. WHO EVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALLOWING THIS SOULLESS GARBAGE TO BE PLAYED OVER AND OVER SHOULD BE FORCED TO LISTEN TO IT EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY, LIKE THE POOR WORKFORCE HAVE TOO. IT IS TORTURE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. DISGUSTING.

I visited home bargains at the western industrial park and was served by Tejal. She is one of the most helpful staff and has wonderful customer care. Today I had to buy some cases of water and unfortunately did not have a £1 coin for the trolly. Tejal kindly asked a member of staff to get me a trolley so that I could get some water. That was very pleasant of Tejal and this is not the first time she has come forward to help. It makes a whole lot of difference to have staff who are extremely pleasant and knowing their role. Thank you Tejal for your kind assistance today.

Interchange Retail Park, Bedford branch - Abi was an absolute star today, and assisted me with purchasing 240 bottles of water (21 packs) for our company event for older people. Initially after putting 17 packs onto a roller, more packs were required but on searching in the stock room, a colleague located smaller bottles which are more practical for our clients to carry. Abi reloaded the items back onto the shop floor with me assisting and then the new bottles reloaded and taken to my car. Brilliant customer service and only her 3rd week in store. You've an asset there, Home Bargains!!

I bought some straw for a baby rabbit. I was keeping her in the house until her injections kicked in and was using puppy pads under her sawdust. Put some straw in on the night. Within a day the whole cage was crawling with these. Had to take the rabbit to the vet and get her unstraw mited. We had to throw away her toys that could have got mited and had to pay for the carpets to be cleaned. The vet put the bugs under the microscope and they were straw mites. Must have cost me £100 to pay for vet, treatment, new toys and carpet. And did home bargains pay me back? Did they heck. They offered me an instore credit of £30. So that would actually cost them £10 after profit maybe!
