“For many years I thought that H&B was not a proper supplements shop and didn't use it but I checked it out when a shop opened v near me about 5 years ago and was impressed by their quality and range. I've used them regularly ever since for various supplements, especially faves like vit c powder, quercitin and zinc. I also buy most of my skincare and haircare things from them. Their website deals are great and delivery v reliable but I also just like wandering around their shop looking at the new things they've got in, they really do seem to be on it these days. So have gone from a healthfood shop snob to a bit of a convert!”

“I had a subscribe and save subscription showing 9 orders between £40.00-£50.00. The 5th is supposed to be free as advertised on their website. On 3 occasions their online system was unable to take my money so that I called in and paid directly (with the same card) for my orders. After being cut off then having a long conversation with Sue today they refused to honour their obligation and stated that as 3 orders had not gone through the subscribe and save online system I was not due the free order when in fact I should have had 2 free orders by now! Sue was unable to put me through to a supervisor although she told me my case ref: 3087835. This is a disgrace, I have been a long and loyal customer - I have now cancelled my subscribe and save ongoing order and will find alternative products elsewhere and I suggest all readers to the same.”
“I visited the Chichester branch of Holland and Barrett I have never come across such rude staff, particularly the young girl on the till, no good morning, no please or thank you, how do these people get jobs serving the public, they are obviously very badly trained if at all. My visit was 12/1/22.”

“I was sent 6 months worth of a product that I hadn't ordered. I didn't need it and the product was out of date in less than 6 months anyway. I have spent 6 months jumping through hoops trying to get a refund. I have sent order number and photos but get asked for these again over and over again. H & B is determined not to compensate me and I am equally determined to keep on. Of course a large, dishonest company has enough money to beat an honest victim, but all the same I'll keep going and I hope others do too. This company is the lowest of the low.

That was 8days ago, and despite numerous emails, a phone call where I was cut off, the saga continues. Yes, of course they got my payment. Thinking of contacting PayPal. “I thought I’d give H&B online another try (previous problems with slow delivery, missing products, and no stock despite taking my money). I mean how long can a big company like H&B continue to provide such a ... service? Big mistake, ordered last Thursday (it’s Tuesday now), payment confirmation received from PayPal, but no order confirmation or despatch notification from H&B. Can’t get through on phone, have emailed and sent FB message but I am not hopeful of any response. I have a feeling I will end up ordering from Amazon and getting PayPal to refund my H&B payment”
“I placed an order 2 weeks ago and when I questioned why delivery was taking so long, within 30 mins I received an email cancelling my order as items are no longer available.. I required the items for medical reasons and have run out now, and have to go looking elsewhere urgently. Not good enough Holland and barrett, I have been a loyal customer for years and will not shop here again”

Delivery doesn't arrive on advised day, let alone within the 2 hour time-slot.
'Customer Service' takes an age to respond and then does so with "if your issue has not been resolved please let us know..."
I have persevered with H&B long enough and will not use them again. AVOID!”
