“Con men gave us product unsealed then told us we lied refused to show cctv to back up and refused the return as it was unsealed. we know they lied. These lot need trading standards investigating them”

“Con Artists, they take your money then hide behind their terms and conditions and the incompetence of their staff to avoid helping you out. I ordered a toilet seat and was having some troubles finding the right one, I photographed the new unit placed on top of my old one to show that it wasn't right and the customer service agent "Taz" took it upon himself to bow out of helping and telling me tough luck because I'd taken the toilet seat out of the box. I then found that they didn't even send the one I'd ordered and furthermore they were unwilling to help out. I'm not after my money back I just want the product I'd ordered and them to hold their hands up and say they made a mistake but instead they've taken my £100 and gone on their way. Shocking service and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.”

“Do not order from Builder Depot, they are extremely unhelpful if you need to return anything and will do their utmost to avoid issuing a refund. We accepted delivery of a Grohe cistern and push button, the cistern box had a tiny tear on the packaging and now they refuse to accept the return of either, when we have just spent £30 on returning them safely via courier. Avoid.”

“1 star only because I can't give zero. I know times are hard but Builders Depot have fleeced me for 13 x 4.8m 9" by 2" joists, despite me having date/time stamped photos of the bundled short-shipment and are now ignoring my emails. This seems to be the business model now - provide no notice of the drop as usual, catch people unawares and now short-ship them too. They have then fallen back bogus claims of cctv - how could that much timber disappear in transit?? Check your footage again, how can you even pick out this delivery from a truckload? Unbelievable. @Builders Depot, I will gladly provide a full spec if you contact me with a serious response, better yet come to the site you will see we ordered the amount we needed and you can see it in place in the site after I have had to order the short shipped amount from somewhere else, I can provide the invoice, why would I buy exactly that amount again?”

“It is very important to read reviews prior to purchasing from a company. I highly recommend to NOT order from these ripoffs. Their shipping rates are also ridiculous! I cancelled an order after hours that was placed online. I was told that it cannot be cancelled due to the shipping right away. Not good practice. I will decline the package when it comes. The delivery date posted is May 30 - June 2, 3020 but yet my order cannot be cancelled on May 13th or 14th... Ridiculous!”

“Disgusting company. They stayed open during the coronavirus and put their staff health at high risk. They don’t care because they are greedy and money grabbing. They took my order and money and now no delivery comes. Should have just shut down. Disgusting company, bad service, rude. Don’t care for their staff and customers, just take your money. Avoid.”

“STAY AWAY! The firm is very unfair , and tricky. I ordered 5 bags render base and four from them were ripped in the parts with holes everywhere. All were on the pallets wrapped in the plastic foil and covered by another foil to hide the condition. When I took the foil off I was very upset because of the condition and the render base was different from that which I ordered.Build Base clearly sent me all the rubbish which they found in the yard.Just one unhappy customer for them is nothing, the most important is profit. STAY AWAY!”

“Don't fall into the trap that we all have. I had two deliveries of MDF boards on a pallet, the packaging was non existent and the first two arrived damaged. When I inquired to when I would have the third attempt at delivery I was told that they would not be delivering me another one nor giving me a full refund. Worst customer service I have experienced. Wish I had the option of no stars!!”

“I was a bit worried after a few negative reviews of the complany on the web, but my order went very smoothly. The info line for online purchases was responsive and helpful, and the order was dispatched quicker than expected. Overall smooth experience.”

“Returns policy is something they need to work on found a product I did not expect asked about a return and apparently have to return it either to one of their specific depo's 50 miles from me or they pick up with a charge of £40 in returning the product.”

“They had the order wrong, some goods were returned and others not delivered. But they insisted they were delivered. Refunded for the good returned but not the non-delivered ones.”
