“Never, never, never get a loan from this company. They missold everybody’s loans and this resulted in compensation claims that effectively bankrupted them and then for some inexplicable reason the High Court allowed them to stay in business. They then took forever to agree a scheme to repay their fraudulent activities to their customers and have managed to get an agreement to ONLY repay them 17 pence in the pound. Disgraceful. Do not under any circumstances deal with this fraudulent bunch of thieves.”

I missed a payment and ask them to pay the missed payment in 3 instalments they took all my details for their records and went to the guarantor to ask for pay despite me agreeing to pay the one miss payment. They can go hell. They will torment you if you miss a payment. Don’t use them”
“I was a guarantor, Horrible company 90% of what you pay goes towards intrest not the policy. Which makes it incredibly difficult to pay off the loan. Please vote against the scheme. I doubt they'll pay up even if it does go through. They deserve to go into insolvency and shut down. Do not ever borrow fron these people. They will use scare tactics to make you pay. Even if you've already paid for the month. This company can go to hell”

“Never be a guarantor! I agreed to be a guarantor for a colleague who I believed would be able to manage the repayments. All went well for the first 6 months until he changed bank details and never updated them with amigo despite multiple calls, letters and emails. They eventually sorted it, but instead of updating their bank details took advantage of the covid 6 month pay freeze. When that period ended the account fell into arrears. Amigo couldn't get through to my borrower, who ignored every contact. I got chased with letters, emails, voicemail and texts threatening legal action, meanwhile my borrower can sit there with his thumb up his a**e ignoring it all! When I complained, saying amigo should do more to make contact they threw out my complaint saying "if they choose to ignore us that's up to them". By that logic surely we can all do the same and let someone else pay it back? In the end I have up, paid the arrears and cleared all debt. Didn't even get thanked by my collegue. Don't bother helping anyone.”
“These scammers mis-sell their loans and then make you pay triple the amount you originally borrowed! Stay away from this company, they will tie you up for years! I took out a loan for 10k based on them telling me I can afford it and staff encouraged me to tweak my incomings to stand a chance of acceptance, since receiving the loan I have paid nearly 20k with still over a year and a half to go.
The payments I have made for a £10,000 loan is disproportionate and not justifiable by any means. Check this out – I have made the following payments to date:
£237.15 pm (£6k original loan) payments made from Nov 1 2016 to May 2017 = £1,660.05
£395.25 pm (inc £4k top-up = £10k total borrowed) payments made from July 2017 to Current = £17,785.75
£1,660.05 + £17,785.75 = Total Paid: £19,445.80
Absolute bonkers I know.
I’ll probably end up paying them near 25k, imagine that for a 10k loan. I have reported them to FCA and have asked Financial Ombudsman Service to look into my complaint, I will take them to court if that’s the last option I have. Take a loan out with them at your own peril!
For pre-existing customers please vote NO at the Scheme of Arrangement consultation and let’s collectively shut this company down, they want you to believe you will get a refund but for the good of humanity this company should not be operating. It is well documented they are already holding up payments for those that have won their cases with FOS and they will further delay payouts. It is better to take a hit on the finance than leave the company operating without impunity. I have suffered from health issues trying to pay this company back. They do not deserve to be open and serving the population of this great country.”
“Their members of staff forged my affordability as it failed when I went to top up . I complained in September and they delibratley delayed sending my final response so that it would go under the scheme to avoid paying. Scum and now their asking for my vote to save the company!!!!”

We pride ourselves on being a fair and responsible lender. We are positioned within the market as a mid cost lender with an APR of 49.9% (variable). We appreciate this may be higher rate than your bank, but comparatively, we offer a competitive rate in the sub-prime market.
We also pride ourselves on giving our customers a second chance and the chance to rebuild their credit. We say yes, when other lenders may say no. We allow our customers to borrow up to £10,000 over a 60 month period, which means that we can offer life changing amounts of money for a relatively low monthly cost. I hope you can agree that we are fair and our APR rate is reasonable.

“had been approved for a small loan to help with my car being taken off the road. After a week of following all amigos procedures they told me everything was fine with my guarantor then after that i was asked to take a video of my guarantor who is disabled and this was stressful for her, they then asked for further id it was sent then they started inventing weird issues like she sounded different in each call ! after a week of being messed about by these clowns i filed a complaint, the customer service was despicable and what was asked for was bizarre and unfair after providing the correct documentation . I would recommend avoiding these jokers and if they don't turn around there decision i will be taking it straight to the ombudsman shame on you amigo !!!!”
“They know how to get your hopes you but when they just ask for guarantor who does all what they say even have there bank detail they turn him down cause they reckon he can’t afford it yet he can clearly if I default. There famous saying I will pay it today or once I get gauartor bank details I can pay it out and yes they got his bank details
Customer service give false hope and lies to you
Even sent emails to see if I can lower the amount I want but not heard from them
Speaking with trading standards and see what they say cause they can’t give out false sayings or imformation”
“Stood guarantee for a friend I was totally aware what this meant for me if my friend defaulted which unfortunately they did what I was not expecting were the constant calls, emails and texts from amigo and when my friend made a late payment I was not informed, would I stand guarantor again Most certainly NOT !!!!!!!!!”
