My sister recommended World of Books, I'm glad she did! It's excellent, recycling, less land fill, environmentally friendly. The condition of the book is displayed and brief description of story line. Super fast delivery. Well done!

On April 3rd 2024 I ordered four books from WOB. I noticed on the website that if you order four books the fourth one was free. I emailed them to inquire about their policy regarding this. After waiting for a significant amount of time they finally responded only to say to give them the order number. Well, I not only gave them the order number but listed the books and the price of each book. The upshot is that they never responded, I'm still waiting. I think that the offer was a come-on, a lure an enticement. I may be naive and ingenuous but they aren't they knew exactly what they were doing. This company was bought by an equity firm that's only purpose and priority is to make money not to insure the satisfaction of its customers. They are disingenuous. I contacted my bank and intend to dispute the $38.15. I will probably lose so my only recourse is to unsubscribe. I got ripped off, scammed. Caveat Emptor. I didn't get any receipt from them since they obviously never shipped the books. So no proof.

I was sent a wrong item as part of my order and after contacting WOB about this they told me they are unable to supply the other two items in the order. I have had to contact them four times about getting a refund for those items, they keep offering me a choice of another book from their website, but i just want a refund, it should not be this difficult. Arggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Verbal reasoning book had the answers circled in pen. About as much use as a chocolate teapot.

The book I ordered was `delivered' yesterday. What actually came through the letter box was an empty package. The book had not been packaged properly and it was presumably lost between the WoB warehouse and my address. What is especially frustrating is that I have been unable to contact or get any intelligent response from WoB: they are impossible to communicate with. Won't be using them again!

I recently acquired a copy of "The Riddling Reaver" from WOB, expecting it to be in 'very good' condition as advertised. However, the book I received was far from satisfactory, with visible creases and a notable cut on the spine, which contradicted the condition described in the listing. Expressing my concerns to WOB, I was met with a standard response that the condition of the book fell "within their guidelines", which I found quite disheartening. My previous interactions with WOB's customer service had been relatively positive, with issues usually resolved in my favor, often through refunds. Yet, I've observed a concerning trend in the quality of books listed as 'very good'—a significant portion, over 30%, fail to meet the advertised standard. It appears that my repeated complaints have led to a shift in how WOB addresses customer feedback, now opting to dismiss concerns as 'within guidelines' rather than tackling the underlying issue of quality control. Furthermore, despite the clear quality issue, I am willing to return the book for a refund, but WOB's refusal to cover the return shipping costs adds to my frustration. This stance is particularly vexing because the fault lies with the product's quality, which is their responsibility. A recent interaction with a representative who seemed to brush aside my complaint has led me to believe that WOB may prefer to deflect ongoing quality issues rather than taking steps to enhance their quality assurance processes and ensure customer satisfaction. In light of these experiences, while I have previously been a proponent of WOB's services, the persistent quality issues with their 'very good' condition books and the dismissive handling of legitimate grievances, coupled with their refusal to assume responsibility for return shipping on a quality-related return, have considerably marred my shopping experience with them. In conclusion, WOB might be a viable option if you're looking for books at a relatively low cost, but it falls short if you expect to receive exactly what you ordered in terms of quality and condition.

I am thoroughly disappointed to have had an order go missing and to have received such poor customer service from Wob. I have made several attempts to contact Wob and simply keep getting generic emails back to which I have replied as instructed then the contact stops. I had had a number of successful orders before this but will not be using them again and will stop recommending them to various book groups I belong to as their customer service just isn't there, one very disappointed customer!!!

I ordered a CD and when it arrived there was no CD in the case. A bot responded and asked for pictures (?) but actual customer service never responded to my 4 emails. They apparently don’t care about customer satisfaction. It literally takes 2 seconds to look inside the CD case to make sure the disc is there before you send it across the ocean. Waste of my time & money. You’ve been warned.

Shocking appalling Servce, they delivered 4 wrong items today. I have attempted to contact customer service, but found them dreadful to deal with. I will not be returning. I have always found MusicMagpe easy and pleasureable to deal with. WOB is awful !

All books I've recieved recently have been poor quality, sent in a plastic sleeve with no protection, and customer service don't care. If you want to send something back you have to pay for shipping too.

I ordered four books which were supposed to be in very good condition. They still had old price tickets on, one saying 3 for £1 after we paid £4 for it. They were extremely old and grubby and will be going to the local charity shop. Do not use this site!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Directed me to a bot to cancel my order, and despite the bot telling me it had been cancelled it wasn’t. No amount of emails back and forth would get them to make it right - only if i paid to send the book back that they had mistakenly posted. Won’t use again!

I will never use WOB again, I have an issue with my deliveries, and CANNOT speak to anyone. This is such poor PR. If any of my family or friends suggest using you I will do my best to ensure they never use you. thanks, but never again

Sent incorrect version of book. Eventually agreed to refund providing I send the book back at my cost! Also expected customer to be able to match the ISBN code to the correct edition, all very weird.

Ordered 17 books, half are missing, and half of those delivered are not the condition they were descried as. No way of live contacting WOB and items were not even sent in a box (a bag!). All around, very poor experience. Anticipating having to credit card chargeback.

Extremely poor customer service. They don't care about their customers at all. I often used their special offer of buy 3 books get 1 free. I chose 3 books then put a second copy of one of them in my basket but didn't notice when I went to pay that the website hadn't registered the second copy and there wasn't a warning to notify me of this. I therefore missed out on the free book. When I contacted them they basically said tough luck. I was entitled to a free book and they didn't honour it. I was a long time loyal customer but now I know that they don't honour their offers I will no longer use them. Companies that don't care about their customers won't get my custom. Simple.
