“Very professional polite individuals at all times. Drive a hard bargain and have yet to see a caravan which does not have damp patches.It has avoided time wasters etc by not selling privately and we are pleased about that.”

“Ian dealt with our sale of our caravan, he was polite and respectful. Jack came to inspect the caravan and upon agreeing with Ian the purchase price took the caravan. The whole process was completed including instant payment in just over a hour. Jack was friendly and respectful of our caravan, highly recommend this service if you are looking for a quick sale and having had two scammers trying to aquire the caravan this was our best option. I had contacted several companies regards selling the caravan some never replied others offered a lot less than Ian .”

“Did the deal with Danny over the phone during a very pleasant and gentlemanly conversation during which I offered to send pictures of my caravan and the report form the last service, done a month previously. Danny said he didn’t need to see them. The deal was done and Danny emailed the agreement which I accepted. So far so good When Ashley turned up to collect my van he examined it thoroughly and said he had found damp and that they would have to reduce their offer by £300 ‘to repair the problem’. Ashley spoke to Danny who rang me and confirmed what Ashely had said. Fortunately my service engineer, who was on site, discussed the matter with Ashely and then advised me that they were just using the ‘damp’ to justify reducing their offer. I spoke to Danny who attempted to rationalise the £300 'reduction' but when I held firm, he agreed to the original price .. so the damp cannot have been such a problem after all??? … meanwhile Ashley was busy hitching up my van .. indication that they would be buying the van come what may? What I gleaned from the conversation with Danny and Ashley was that this ‘try-on’ was just their normal practice and that it often worked!!?. I'm 76 so presumably with people of around my age this tactic does work. I’m happy to have sold my van and am happy with the eventual deal .. but not very happy about the way it was done in the end. ‘Old folk’ .. and not so old folk .. watch out.”

Dear Mr. Rose, Thank you for your comments. I did notice that you are happy with the eventual outcome, which pleases me immensely. I would like to say that there was no doubt your Caravan had water ingress, as confirmed by your onsite Engineer. It is normal industry practise to discuss a financial adjustment to address the repairs. Of course you are well within your rights to decline any subsequent offer proposed to you, indeed you did. At this point I have to make an often difficult commercial decision to continue with the purchase, absorbing the cost of repairs, or decline the Caravan. On this occasion, and after careful consideration, I decided to absorb the cost and complete the process. Just so there’s no confusion, if no water ingress was present, there would have been no request for an adjustment to the price. Thank you, Danny Silver - Sales Director

“Underpriced what my caravan was worth compared to 5x other dealers (by around £1500) but due to time pressure and having pre booked them (we buy any touring caravans) it was either sell now or lose out financially even more as it was cited on a seasonal pitch and I had to move it off or pay to store. I researched and believe I was offered the lowest possible value for the caravan which I’d owned for just under 1 year (£12300 for a 2015 Elddis Chatsworth 636) and upon inspection they found a minor patch of damp and took £1400 off of that and gave me £10,900 for it. Bottom line, unless you know what you’re doing and are in the trade, don’t buy a caravan off any dealer - robbers!!”

“The assessor arrived on time. He explained the defects in our 15 year old caravan - principally the damp in the bedroom area - showing me the readings and the signs of damp. I accepted that this would result in a substantial reduction BUT I was SATISFIED with the price offered. The payment was made promptly and received in our bank account. The caravan was then towed away. All round a very satisfactory result.”

“We contacted WBTC by email having seen their advert in a magazine. We weren’t entirely sure what we would be doing but their representative called us back straight away, explained the process clearly and succinctly, gave us an indicative price, and left us alone to make our own decision, there was no badgering or sales patter. When we decided to proceed, we got back in touch with them, the process was explained again, an inspection was organised, the valuation was firmed up and, once we agreed the price, the money was paid into our account without fuss or hesitation. Overall this was exceptional service and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.”

“This was so straightforward. Was offered the full trade price over the phone and arranged for the inspection there and then. On the day of the inspection, John was incredibly professional. There were a few niggles that I knew about and had discussed openly when I booked the inspection. These did reduce the price slightly, but no more than expected. The inspection was completed, the price agreed and the cash in the bank within 30 minutes.”

“Paid us £2600 for our caravan and advertised it 2 days later for £6995 in the same condition it left us. We called Danny, he assured us this was to allow for part exchange etc, and that the necessary repairs would be done before the sale was completed.”

Dear Client I will honour you wish to remain anonymous, and refer you to you as “Client”. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write the comments. I felt I had explained the process during our lengthy conversation, but clearly this still is causing you concern. I will agree the caravan was advertised immediately. But with the Caveat, “waiting preparation” which is advised on every enquiry. When the Caravan was checked over, it fell far short of our expectations. And indeed, in need of significant repairs . One of the main cause for concern, was the smoke emitting from the electrical consumer unit. Just to confirm, the caravan will not be sold until the repairs are carried out to a satisfactory retail standard. I can only assume that you thought the figure advertised, would be secured without the works carried out. I’m sure now with reflection, you can see that this would be utterly unachievable. Once we had decided to go ahead the uplift of the caravan happened within 2 days by a friendly Andy.
