We found this company very deceiving. On their website they ask you for your car details and give you a reasonable quote to sell but when you arrive for a final assessment they reduce the quote to half the amount, the initial quote is to encourage you to take your car.

No-one arrived for the appointment. Still waiting for a call back 'in two minutes'. Waste of a Saturday morning. Would rather scrap the car valued at £1400!

Tried to rip me off, offered £1300 below valuation to start with. Was advised by member of staff that valuation was for car in show room condition What 8 year old car is in show room condition?? Found whole process humiliating and insulting stood watching whilst he went round my car twice looking for imperfections. Will not be using again or recommending. Final offer was £900 less than valuation. I walked away.

Total rip off! Offered me less than half the online quote and treated me like an idiot. Also, must be used to my ‘less than impressed’ response so probably gets this all the time. These people are clearly thieves and charlartans. Honestly, have nothing to do with this company!

These people are so stupid, not sure how many cars they think I have for sale. I get a few messages every day for the past couple of years about valuations and appointments and I have never contacted them or tried to sell a car through them. I have notified them but they seem to be too stupid to comprehend. Maybe this will get the point home. Verify a number before you accept it as a valid number to send a valuation to.

WORSE WAY TO SELL YOUR CAR MORE LIKE. Offered £1000 less than offered on line because car had a tiny mark on bumper an was 1000 miles above than i put online a week earlier. Rude in gloucester branch this was probaly because i am a female. I feel this company is the new dick turpin of the motor trade an they should all wear masks. MUCH BETTER OF TAKING ANY CAR TO A CAR DEALER RATHER THAN BEING INSULTED BY THESE AMATEURS.

The worst experience at the Swinton branch that has still not been resolved. Car taken in on Sunday online value £6,000 offered around £700 below the initial quote which I expected as they are known to do this. I just wanted a quick sale as I'm due to have a baby. Contracts all signed and documents handed over. I received an email on Wednesday asking for me to contact them as they was missing information. I called them and they said that after further checks they are reducing the offer, I asked why and they said because it had gone through salvage but was not categorised and the HPI was clear. So basically it was showing as being in an accident. I'm not sure how they have the right to do this as the terms and conditions doesn't state they can amend and reject the offer based on this reason. They then offered me a revised offer of £3000 which I rejected. I have asked repeatedly now for 2 days details within the terms of condition that allow them, to buy my car change the V5 document to them, and cancel my tax. Then decide that they don't want to pay the amount we agreed. I understand in some instance where they could do this issues with mileage tampering etc but that not the case with my car. To top this off they returned my car today which i refused to sign for until this matter is resolved. I have to complete a v6 form and send this in to DVLA so that the V5 log book can return to my name - because they legally own the car but want to change how much they want to pay for it although all the paper work is done The car was returned with no floor mats and I am also not able to tax the car as I am not the owner until my V5 is sent off and returned which can take 4 weeks. So I have a car that I can't drive until this is resolved I have tried to get to the bottom of this for two days and I have asked for details from a number of manager all that have initially taken my call and then proceeded to ignore me or not respond I have also sent a complaint email in for them to respond with it's not met compliance checks that they do however again when I asked for details of this linked to the terms and conditions and how they can then amend an offer that was agreed I got no response and why are they doing checks like that after all the documents have been handed over and they legally own the car again no response The service doesn't even deserve a 1 star if I could give them 0 that's what I would do

You bought my car for £50 telling me you were going to scrap it. But guess what it's on the road taxed mot and insured. Rip Off comes to mind. This was at your Bridgwater base.

I've used webuyanycar twice before. They always reduce the initial valuation, that is a given. However, on this occasion we agreed the sale for £17,300 after an initial offer price of around £17,600. They have subsequently performed some after sale checks the following day and decided that the vehicle isn't worth what they have agreed to buy it for. They have withheld payment and reduced their offer to £9,000 and otherwise want to send the car back to me. Basically, they have set the 'legally binding contract' up to allow them to do whatever they want. I am not a motor trader. I'm a member of the public and expect the contract to protect me. Disgraceful practice. Will never use again and will be making a formal complaint. 16/10/22 - Further update. The company fail to do their due diligence (what amounts to a basic admin task for them) and then blame the customer for not knowing information that is only available to the trade. I suggest that anybody reading this review avoid using webuyanycar at all costs. Blaming the customer for their bad practice and poor admin processes is really not good enough.

An absolute con, a oid at all costs! The young salesman tried dvety trick in the book tk find something to knock the price down, from missing service history documents which I pointed out were right in front of them, to the resorting to telling me it was not service history but an aircon flush - really. When all of that failed he resorted go telling me there was a mileage discrepancy on DVLA record. This was a brand mercedes bought brand new from merecedes and serviced and Mot every year with Mercedes, what a joke of a compamy

Absolute con, my car was a non-runner which they knew before they quoted. I was quoted £680 guaranteed for 4 days. 2 days later I organised a tow truck to deliver it to them and they proceeded to explain the quote was for a grade 1 non-runner mine apparently was a grade 5 so the quote went down to £317. I told them this was not made clear and was wrong. The gentleman I dealt with was very nice and helpful and I managed to get a little more, but still not near the quote. I had to except because I had no way of getting the tow truck back.

Have full service history had bought the car 10 months ago for £11000. Had to sell as was going abroad for work. Once their so called expert looked at the car offered me £5080 and apparently he was doing me a favour. A con avoid at all costs

Booked on there website, was straight forward and getting a quick appointment. I've used WBAC previously and didn't have many issues and I knew that they inspect the car very well. This time I went to the Maidenhead branch, which was not sign posted, after getting in contact to get directions I met the guy dealing with the cars for Maidenhead, He inspected and drove the car said it was immaculate as it was a new car about 10 months old. He asked me what I got offered online, so I said how much and he said well we would have to say there are a few stone chips on the car, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NONE, I asked why and he replied well that's just how it works, we need to take some money off the quote I recieved. I argued why even though there wasn't any damage and it's immaculate. After agreeing, he went to check the mileage and then came back saying the HPI check came back as a different model and it would be £2k less than what I got offered. I've seen them use this scam in the past but thought they would have stopped this practice. Please avoid this place with a barge pole.

Genuine reviews???? What a joke!!! I just have just been offered £3500 for a 2010 mercedes benz s class with 70 k miles in PERFECT condition and full service history. Day light robbery to say the least. I can honestly say that i would happily pay anybody 30% more for their car compared to those crooks and i would make a fortune. Don't ever sell your car to those people !!!!!!!!! Be smart.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. The vehicle market changes on a regular basis and we therefore update our prices every day, based on current market conditions. We have a team of Pricing Analysts who are constantly monitoring the value of used cars. They track various factors such as demand, availability of a particular model and current sale prices we are experiencing for such vehicles. We are constantly adjusting our valuations in response to the fluctuations, and we therefore offer a 4-day guarantee period on our valuations as this protects customers against any changes in the market during this period. Thanks, The WBAC Team
I wont ever be using we buy any car as indeed i wont ever be buying a car off cinch because they are the same people including British car auctions. You CANNOT value a car on a computer, also when i come to sell a car they come to my house which puts me at an immediate advantage, in addition when wish to sell a car, I go to either a private seller or a garage in either case I examine the car really carefully and then take it for a test drive for at least 30 minutes and buy if im happy. My advice to anyone thinking about going to either we buy any car.com or cinch is quite simply DONT.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it, and we apologise for any disappointment caused. Our online car valuation tool calculates the value of your car based on a number of factors including the make, model, mileage, condition and the current market conditions and then we do a final check in person at your appointment. Thanks, The WBAC Team
DO NOT USE WBAC, THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Where do I start with how much WBAC have completely and utterly scammed me. At my first appointment, the rep gave me a very good price and notified me the errors CLEARLY displayed on the dash would not be a problem and gave me a fair price regardless of the issues presented. My plate needed to be retained so when I went back the next weekend to get my car sold, the systems were down which nobody told me, despite me being there a mere 30 minutes prior. I went back the next day after the rep called me to say the systems are working and to come to my appointment. Again, I wasted fuel and time going to the appointment to be told the systems are down. The rep was extremely unhelpful and defensive, not even offering an apology for more wasted time! Finally we get to the fourth appointment where I was told by yet another rep that the valuation given by his colleague was a lie and the errors with my car meant they would be offering me a significantly lower price than both his colleague's valuation and the online valuation. I was disappointed yet understood and accepted the price, a contract was signed by both myself and the WBAC rep which I was told is legally binding. To then receive a call from the rep a day later alleging there were "problems with the car" and a new inspection needed to be undertaken was utterly ludicrous. WBAC are now claiming my car is faulty and I did not give them all information and are trying to use this pathetic excuse to weasel out of a binding contract. After WBAC admitted there was no information on the HPI of the problems they are claiming nor will they provide evidence of these so called problems despite multiple requests both via email and phonecall, what does this show? That WBAC are simply lying to get out of the contract. They had the audacity to issue a "revised offer" offering TEN GRAND LESS THAN THE INITIAL PRICE THEY ARE CONTRACTUALLY BOUND TO!!!!!!!! The audacity of this company is unbelievable and their customer service is despicable. To lie, ignore and try to practically steal this car from me is unbelievable. I will not be scammed like this and my car is worth so much more than this fake valuation they have tried to issue. They did not advise me there would be any second valuation, nor did they tell me this could impact the contract. Why offer a contract in the first place if you are not willing to honour it? Your company is misrepresenting itself, making lies up to get out of contracts they are contractually bound to and failing to provide evidence of the so called damage. Now they will not respond to my formal complaint or honour their contract after I proven over and over again I have NOT breached any of its conditions. I will be taking legal action as I have been ignored again and again and I will not be taken for a mug. The managing director also ignored my plea for assistance which clearly shows this company is despicable and does not care about its customers. They are liars and thieves.

The worst experience ever in my life............ . I had an appointment in one of the branches with one of the agents.... they checked the car on all sides and made me a price offer, they signed the invoice with the agreed price and of corse I signed too and after..... surprise.... after a few days they were writing me an email saying that they reassessed the car and changed the price... and if the price suits me well, if not I should go and take my car back...... how unprofessional....employees who don't know what they are doing.....they make you waste your time and money....I wouldn't try anymore to sell anything through this company, not even my grandfather's bicycle..... .I regret the moment when I only thought of using the services of this company..... Shame on you

What a Con…. After taking the vehicle down, I was told that the valuation given online was for a Grade 1 vehicle. Although it’s an old vehicle (shown by its reg) it had no damage, or any condition issues at all, and a FULL service record, but I was only offered 2/3 of the online offer. That was obviously just a ploy to get me down there 😡 what a complete waste of time

Thank you for leaving us your feedback, we really appreciate it and we apologise for any disappointment caused. This certainly wasn’t our intention. Please note that your valuation would only ever change at your appointment if you’re outside of your 4 day Price Promise, or if there are discrepancies between the way that you described your car online and the car itself, found at your appointment. This could include missing components, damages or discrepancies with mileage, previous owners or service history, for example. Such factors may impact the value of your car and as such, we would need to record this and amend your valuation accordingly, which we’re sure you can appreciate. We’re really sorry if the amount offered wasn’t what you had hoped for. With that said, we do offer a no obligation service, meaning if there’s any aspect of the service, that isn’t right for you, you’re under no obligation to sell to us. Thanks, The WBAC Team
