“Pub didn’t serve food this time and no options considering the amount of accommodation and river boats passing, disappointing. Pool only open till 4pm? Shop lacked any bbq food”

“Lovely site. Big pitches. Clean and tidy shower blocks and toilets. Staff helpful and pleasant. Surrounding areas beautiful. Good variety of walks and places to visit. Highly recommended”

“Beautiful setting when you eventually manage to get there down the long single track road. It is very quite and relaxing and the lodge was very clean and comfortable, apart from the very hard, very uncomfortable dining chairs. Everywhere was well maintained and the swimming pool was great. Think the shop could have been a little better stocked but I expect it is difficult to know want will sell from week to week. Great place to chill and unwind especially in the hot tub!”

“Having stayed at The Waveney River Centre previously in my touring caravan, its always nice to return, i also visit when on my numerous Norfolk Broads boating holidays. Its a fantastic place to unwind and to fish in the river and marina. There are also some great walks around the centre and countryside. The food is always good in the restaurant with a good selection of beers. I look forward to returning once again in 2022. Thanks to all the staff.”

“Stayed at the Ellingham Lodge - fantastic lodge, super clean with everything you need provided. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Hot tub was fantastic and cleaned daily. Foot ferry was great for further walks towards Oulton Broad and Carlton Marsh visitor centre for a well deserved white hot chocolate! Staff very friendly and helpful. Hired canoes and enjoyed every day!”

“Good holiday. Although a few problems. Not enough kitchen utensils. Heating very poor needed to keep putting pressure up on boiler. My sisters lodge dishwasher did not work. Our lodge a bit dated.”

“Lovely place very rural .. plenty to do lovely walks and pool .. down side 5 pm arrival so u loose a day really . And have to be off by 9 and they don’t open the pool or anything even for a hour so u cny stay on site .. the accomadation is nice but we did find two eaten up dog chew toys on arrival and coffee stains on floor which begs the question why we can’t arrive till 5”

“Very clean , well organised site, in a spectacular setting , all the blocks were immaculate throughout our stay . We are found the staff very amiable and very willing to point advise on any concerns. . . We’ll all except when I ran short of Milk and had to have Custard made with Gin 😳 I believe Waveney Inn now serves it on Bread and Butter Pudding 😂”

“Even for a winter break and covid safety rules this was a lovely place to be In the past have visited during the summer and had an enjoyable time too Signposting to the Centre was difficult on arrival as we arrived late evening and signs were along an unlit main road. If the sign were lit so more easily seen it would help.”

“Beautiful surrounding have stayed previously in a lodge However this time tried the yurts and was not disappointed with any thing other than very very noisy people and children till passed 11pm which had been off putting for us for now unfortunately Also the lack of lighting at night by the toilet block between the cutlery cleaning area and the loos beside the pool resulted in a broken toe due to the the lovely metal edged steps It would also be very very helpful to add some steps to the reverse of the yurts so u can step on to the hill rather than use the little dig out areas to climb up on people have made whilst climbing up the hill behind yurt to access the toilet in the late evening Would reduce the potential injuries that could be caused”

“TV was missing from a room. Dishwasher draw was broken. Fridge was missing parts. Knives were blunt and broken, hard and dangerous to use. Table was sticky. Not cleaned very well as there was a snail on the curtains and the blinds were very dusty. Shame as it was a lovely place to stay. Restaurant was also very nice.”
