Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.

Purchased a silverstone voucher- not easy to redeem and there were such limited dates available we weren’t able to do the experience! They didn’t release any dates for months and then we only had a 2 month window until the voucher expired (it only lasts 10 months not the 12 on the voucher?!) then there was only one weekend they offered and you have to ‘apply’ for availability and wait to hear back.

Terrible customer service - unable to speak to anyone. Would not purchase virgin experience days again - this has really gone down hill. E-mailed support team on 6th Feb with a 3-5 day response promise. No response, e-mailed again 21st Feb

My 17 year old daughter paid £140 for a Faulty Towers experience. We booked a date during 2020 but it was cancelled due to Covid. It has been hard trying to re-book due to us being ill as well. We are now in a position to re-book but voucher now invalid. So question is - where has the £140 gone ? Theft as far as I’m concerned

Paid £20 online to extend an existing voucher which is due to expire shortly. Message on screen to say it been replaced and if I log into my account it says it's been replaced there too but no new voucher has been emailed. Virgin make it very difficult to contact them, the website takes you round in circles when trying to find contact details - no phone number and live chat not working. Eventually I was able to email them but so far I have just received a stock reply saying they will get back to me at some point. Very disappointing - please re-introduce a phone number so that customers can speak to someone!

Problem trying to sort out extending or transferring my voucher and I am happy to pay extra. No one to talk too and it’s taken 9 days to reply to my email and the answer is clearly a standard response. Very poor will use buys gift in future

Problem with extending my voucher and cannot contact them. Cannot telephone anymore and nobody answers the so-called chat line. Will never use them again.

Absolutely terrible experience - would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a voucher for next day delivery for a birthday. Tracking code doesn't work, unable to get hold of customer services (2-3 day response time). I did manage to get a response on twitter which was a complete fob off. Use another experience company and avoid these like the plague

Not a great experience. Very unhelpful in extending vouchers due to the pandemic and also wouldn’t give any weekend dates when we could use it despite it stating that we could when purchased. Said we had to deal with the Ritz directly too who were equally as unhelpful. BuyaGift on the other hand have been amazing with sorting out vouchers so would always use them in future.

Do not ..repeat do not purchase this rubbish of an experience unless you plan to give it to someone that you absolutely detest.The list of hotels that they give you will not accept you between May and November and even then some of them on the list do not want to know you.It really is a con...con...con..l cannot advise you more strongly than to give this junk a big miss.

Vegan and gluten free chocolate treats - pleased with my gift which arrived quickly and was both well packed and very nicely presented. Just a shame that the white chocolate and cranberry cookies were substituted with a second pack of cinnamon and raisin - not a problem though as they are nice too. I did think there was supposed to be a bottle of winter spice? Perhaps they ran out. I’m still pleased with the gift though. Thank you.

Poor customer service. No phone number and no dates available for one year for the experience booked. I had to send a message via Resolver to reach them. Instead of offering me a date for the experience they are offering me to exchange the voucher instead. Do not book, terrible customer service.

Hi I am trying to either exchange or obtain a refund for an unused voucher which out of the Covid extension time.Website sends you round in circles . Being phoneless is also very unhelpful.

I am writing this review as a very unhappy Customer.We were given a two night traditional inn break for a 50th birthday present last year at the end of August.It has an expiry date of 07/08/2022. I thought I would try and get the voucher redeemed and booked only to discover that every hotel I try to book is not taking bookings for the period of Jun-Aug!!! This is absolutely ridiculous because it means that you basically cannot go to any of the popular places in the summer months! I was offered other venues that are not even listed on the Virgin website and are basically places that people don’t really want to go to in peak time.You are advertising on your website that you can stay in places like Devon,Dorset,Isle of wight etc but the reality is you cannot actually stay at any of these places from Jun-Aug!!! I am told that these hotels are fully booked which is utter rubbish as I have been on their own websites and there are loads of availability.This is a total con and false advertising.I will not ever recommend buying one of these vouchers ever again!!! The customer service is appalling as you cannot speak to anyone and the website has basically no contact details at all apart from a robot chat!!! I have many photos i can send to you if necessary showing the places you list and the fact that one of the hotels has only 18 rooms and 12 of them are still available for the dates that I wanted!!! Absolutely rubbish and a complete con fir genuine customers who have paid good money!!!

I have a virgin gift card that is in date but wont work when trying to book an experience. I've emailed and left messages 4 times but nobody has responded. Terrble service.

I was given the Assassin's Creed Experience by a friend for Christmas during Lockdown. Due to Covid continuing for longer than expected, I need to extend the voucher but it is impossible. Website says that vouchers can be extended within 3 months of expiry dates (which I am currently still in) but then contradicts this offer by ambiguously stating that 'this voucher has expired and cannot be extended' but with no further explanations. The website leads you round in circles with no definitive solutions, the company is now phoneless, and there is no messaging or email available to use. I am extremely disappointed in the service that has been provided, particularly aftercare once the product has been purchased. This has left such a sour taste that the possibility of recommending Virgin Experience Days to anyone or using ourselves is unfathomable. Never again. The only experience I have had with Virgin Experience Days has been to be ripped off Scam

I bought 4 tickets for the Thames Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off Cruise for Two experience day and was looking forwrd o take my wife and my foreign, elderly in-laws on a fantastic cruise along the Thames. Imagine my shock when I arrived at the City Cruise kiosk to collect our tickets only to be told that our Virgin experience is actually a one-wy ticket from Greenwhich to Westminster!! Moreover, if we want to return back to Greenwhich then we would have to buy new tickets on the Uber boats (which we did) and the cost for the return journeywas more expensive that the outbound journey. I feel that I've been blatantly ripped off and getting hold of anyone at Virgin Experience is impossible. I fully intend to take small claims court action against Virgin Experience if my complaint isn't resolved and sharpish.

Have emailed several times as I am looking to extend my vouchers due to COVID (which their web site isn't allowing me to do) and have a Stag do that requires to be booked within the next couple of days - last is my last ditch a getting this sorted as there is now other way of getting in contact. Virgin Experience Days if you are monitoring theses reviews please get in contact and will be more than happy to amend my review if everything is resolved.
