Disappointed. Offered a little over £50 for my things, which included an antique brooch with valuation (excess £100 for insurance purposes). They value the quantity of gold/silver in your contents BUT they keep everything you send them unless you decline their offer. Beware of putting valuable items in your box they may not be able to compete with valuations but won't return individual items (so where do they go - landfill? Doubt it). I had my box returned, none of the jewellery was put back into their boxes, it was all returned mixed together in small plastic bags and everything was tangled.

Hello Denise, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the offer you received, but I'm glad you made use of our free returned policy as we wouldn't want you to accept an offer unless you were completely happy with it. With regard to your offer, it is important to note that insurance valuations are an estimated cost to replace an item as new and, as such, tend to be significantly higher than the resale value of the same item. To clarify, the offers we make are always for the whole box of items we receive which we do make clear during our offer calls. I would like to apologise that your items were not returned in the same manner you sent them to us. This is absolutely not the level of service we aim to deliver and I can assure you that this feedback will be passed on to the relevant member of staff to ensure this does not happen in future. Even if our service wasn't quite right for you, we really appreciate you trying it out. Kind regards, Jethro from Vintage Cash Cow 💜

I just waiting to hear back from them where my goods are after a poor offer of 8 pound was made and refused. I rating 2 at present as they are trying to track my goods which I hope they find but if not they will have to claim from parcel force wow and going by there value dont suppose I get anything like what I would have got if sold myself but ill update once all sorted. Really disappointed so far with offer and non return of goods.

Hi Helen, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on our service. I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with your offer, unfortunately, as we are a bulk de-cluttering service, we do ask for a range of items to be sent to us, across at least 3 categories that we can accept. When looking into your items, I can see that costume jewellery and a small amount of watches were sent to us. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive any items that had a rarity or collectibility factor which does limit how much they can generate on the second-hand market. I am saddened to hear that your items haven't been returned back to you yet, and I can see we have passed this case on our customer care team who will be in touch within 5 working days to discuss the matter further after liaising with Parcelforce. We do look forward to looking into the case and reaching a resolve here. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team. 💜
The box arrived promptly and had easy to follow instructions. I received several emails asking if I had considered posting the filled box yet After I confirmed I had sent the box, they said it hadn't arrived in their system . Luckily I have proof of postage and a list of all items sent Waiting to hear from them. I hope this isn't a scam.
Helpful Report
Hi Stephanie, Thank you for getting in touch, and allowing us the opportunity to ease your concerns. I'm so glad that you found the instructions to follow easy. Upon reviewing your emails with our team, I can see that your box arrived to us without a customer ID sticker attached. Without this sticker, we cannot tell who the box belongs to, in order to scan it into your account. We appreciate that you got in touch to let us know that you had not received confirmation of us receiving your box. The postage receipt was incredibly helpful in identifying which unnamed box belonged to you, by matching the tracking number. This was passed on to our Logistics team, that the box belonged to you, so they could assign it to you in the system. This was done this morning, so your box could move on to the appraisals department. We advise 3-5 working days for the appraisal to be complete, but please do feel welcome to get in touch in the meantime if you have any other concerns or questions, and we will be happy to help. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team
Fairly fussy on what and how much they will accept. Derisory offer made, about 10% of what I can sell for with a few hours effort. About a month from requesting a postage label to receiving my items back.

Hello Graham, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about the service, and providing us with the opportunity to address your concerns. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the range of items that we will take. Whilst we would love to accept as many as possible, it would be a disservice to our customers to accept items that we know we don't have a specialist to properly appraise. This is why we were unable to accept the football shirts and computer that you enquired about. It is useful to know that there is customer demand to expand the variety of items that we accept, and I will pass your feedback on. I can also see that during your welcome call, you were advised that we couldn't buy breakable items. This is because as we are a postal service, fragile items are very likely to get damaged in transit. We are not able to insure boxes with fragile items in them, so it would be irresponsible and careless of us to advise otherwise. We are of course saddened that our offer did not match your expectations. The currency we received held no rarities ie. no low mintage years or incorrect prints. These two factors are where collectable currency would find its value, so on this occasion, the more standard pieces included would not generate a significant value and would generate closer to their material value in weight. Despite being lovely items, the cameras and toys we received in this box were mass-produced models with varying degrees of general wear and tear which is, albeit expected within the nature of their use, a limit-inducing factor as to how much they generate in resale value. In regard to the time frames, I have looked into your account, and can see that your welcome pack was dispatched on the 29th of December. We received your box on the 16th of January, and had an offer by the 17th. Your box was prepared and dispatched for return in under 24 hours after declining the offer, which is well within the time frames set out. We are so pleased that you have chosen to make use of our free returns policy, so you can find an alternative place to sell that you are happy with, and we thank you for giving our service a go. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team
Vintage Cash cow was recommended to me by a friend but I have to say wish I hadn’t bothered to go to the trouble of packing everything up and going to the Post office There were several valuable items in my box - a gold cygnet ring a Rado watch a Longenes watch an aquamarine and diamond ring several Parker pens Montblanc pens silver mugs silver knives and forks a camera and costume jewellery The offer I received was a joke ! Just over £100.00 for the lot !! I would rather give the items to charity than accept such an insulting offer !

Hello Julia, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the service with us, I am sorry to hear that our offer did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I can see that your box is currently being prepared for return, and will be on its way back to you shortly. We will be in touch with the tracking number when it is ready. I'm sorry to hear that you were a little disappointed with your offer of £184. As a convenience-oriented service, we are always trying to find the perfect balance between making the best offers we can and keeping our service as quick and simple as possible. We always make the very best offers we can based on our appraisers' experience of the current market values but we really appreciate your feedback which will help us to keep improving our service for future customers. Your items will arrive back with you soon, so you can find an alternative place to sell or donate them that you are happier with. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team 💜
I wished I’d read the reviews before sending my items, they were returned packed well and promptly after I declined a very poor offer. I can appreciate if you are in great need of cash in the current climate you might accept but would suggest giving to charity or trying an auction house as an alternative.

Hello Sandra, Thank you for taking the time to review our service. I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the offer made. Our offers are generated based on the current second-hand market resale value. As I am sure you can appreciate, we offer slightly less than market value as we need to make some money to be a viable business. We appreciate you letting us know that your items were returned back promptly and packed well. The decision is always in the customers' hands to accept or decline the offer, and we are happy to return a box for free. We hope you find an alternative place to sell your items that you are happier with. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team💜

Hi Violet, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am sorry to hear that you haven't received your postage label, There could be an issue in the address we hold on your account, or your postage pack might still be with Royal Mail and undelivered. I have sent you an email for you to confirm your full postal address so I can confirm this and get you another postage pack sent out, Alternatively, we can always book a collection for you if required as no labels are required for this process. We hope you choose to work with us, and we can get this resolved. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team.💜
Brenda ersanilli Items not valued individually BUT lumped together - heavy gold and platinum rings NOT weighed. No receipt offered! I was at Pinner in a room which was near Pinner park. It was definitely not professionally done and l am very sceptical about what happened with the platinum and diamond ring. There was nothing written on a receipt which is suspicious. I thought the Irishchappy put the platinum ring in his pocket.

Hello Brenda, I have taken a look into this for you and I believe you are referring to the Vintage Cash Cow roadshow. Please note that this is now run separately from the Vintage Cah Cow postal service. You can contact Abigail who organises these roadshows via the following email address with any queries: roadshows@vintagecashcow.co.uk. Kind regards, Jethro from Vintage Cash Cow 💜
Items undervalued and returned broken and unrepairable. Contact with customer services was quick and they accepted that the damage was a result of careless repacking. They offered me £40 in compensation however I was unable to find anyone to repair that kind of damage. My items were a tea set that was made of brass so not easily damaged or repaired. Make sure if you use this service that you don't want the items returned to you

Hello Roisin, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Firstly, I am pleased to hear that our customer care team was able to quickly resolve the issue with the damaged tea set for you and offer you some compensation. I am sorry to hear that you haven't yet been able to find a repairer for brass items though. With regard to your feedback on our valuation, we really appreciate hearing your thoughts here. As a convenience service, we are always trying to find the best balance between keeping our service as quick and simple as possible and being able to make the best offers we can. Your experience here will help us to keep improving this balance for future customers. Even if we weren't quite the right service for you, we appreciate you giving us a try. Kind regards, Jethro from Vintage Cash Cow 💜
The first time I used VCC I had an decent offer just over £70 for what I thought wasn't old junk. Cameras etc. and the staff has always been very helpful. Since then I've sent another 3 maybe 4 boxes with a lot more vintage items weighing 20kg plus including Jewelry, old coins, a few small silver hallmark items, cameras etc and it's the same offer every time, £20. Disappointed to be honest but I needed to declutter so I didn't take it back and nothing was sentimental. I understand it's a business, employees, overheads have to be paid and item prices change regularly, and let's be honest, postage isn't free we still pay for it in the end. Maybe its part of the offer process i don't know. I see alot of people here aren't happy and opting for their items back so who pays for that postage? If you want more for your items then use other means because this company won't give a fair price all the time simply because they can't. I doubt I'll use them again unfortunately.

Hi Derek, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback on our service. Firstly I am pleased how you were happy with the offer amount for the first box of items you sent to us, which I can see contained gold and a large amount of silver, which would reflect in the offer received, I am delighted that you find the staff to be helpful too. I am sorry to hear you were disappointed in the offer of your other boxes you have sent to us, having looked on your account I can see that most of your other boxes contained mixed metals which would limit the offer amount. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive any items that had a rarity or collectibility factor which does limit how much they can generate on the second-hand market. For any offers that aren't accepted, we do offer a free returns service of your parcel, So we would cover the cost of that. I am sorry to hear though that you accepted your offer that you weren't completely happy with. We do thank you for giving our service a try anyway. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team. 💜
My stuff was a large box of different item. Got lost, then 2 weeks later, I had to phone to see if there’s found it, and they said a stupid price of £39.00, bear in mind their was a lovely camera, in case, with spare batteries,Plus all other items wouldn’t bother with them again. Rubbish. Then posted back and lost it again took another 23 days, to finally return to me. Sold camera on e. Bay for £100.

Hello Janet, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. All feedback is incredibly valuable to us to ensure that we can continually improve the customer journey, so we appreciate you sharing your experience with us. I can see that we received your box on the 8th of November, and your offer was ready on the 14th, which was within our 3-5 working day time frame. We are sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the offer, we understand that we won't always meet customer expectations, which is why we offer free returns. We're pleased to see that you opted for this option rather than accept an offer that you weren't truly happy with. We do sincerely apologise that the return of your box was not the smooth experience that we aim to deliver. The first delivery attempt by Parcelforce was unsuccessful, due to no one being at home, and it remained in the Leeds depot. We appreciate that you got in touch to let us know that your return had not taken place, so that our Customer Care team could open an investigation with Parcelforce regarding the whereabouts of your box. We completely understand your frustration with the wait to receive your box back, but your patience was appreciated as it was looked into. We are pleased that you have received your items back now, and have been able to find an outcome for them that you were happy with. Thank you again for your feedback. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team💜
As with a lot of other reviews very low offers made....and two completely different valuations on one of the items sent twice
Helpful Report
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and address your concerns about our service. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the offers made on both occasions that you have used the service, but really pleased that you have chosen to have the items returned instead. We don't offer individual prices for items sent and instead offer one price for all of the items in the box. Whilst you sent the mantel clock to us again in your second box, the offer was different from the first time you sent it alongside a large quantity of low-value metals, as it was sent alongside vintage action figures this time. It is also important to keep in mind that the value items generate are subject to fluctuations in line with the current supply and demand within the resale market, so we can't necessarily make the same offer for the exact same items if sent to us again. Thank you for trying the service, and we wish you well in selling your items elsewhere. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team 💜
Disappointed with my offer, and thinking back - I wish I'd had my items returned. When I was contacted, I'd just had an unexpected death of a close friend, and I wasn't in the best frame of mind. I was offered £20 for a box of items, including silver plated ware, a vintage handbag that I paid £160 for - 20 years ago, over 300 coins of different currency, dating back to Queen Victoria (which I'd painstakingly catalogued every single one) a box brownie camera and a 1930's Indian Chief lorry mascot - which I've since seen make well over £100 on ebay. The idea of VCC is good, but I wish I'd had my items returned - and taken them to my local auction rooms. So, no - I won't use them again

Hi Angela, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we always appreciate feedback on how we can improve. I am sorry to hear about a death close to you, and that you weren't in the best frame of mind, we would always encourage our customers to think through their offer before accepting it as we do offer 28 days to think about it. Having looked through the items in your box unfortunately I can see that the bag wasn't in the best of conditions, which unfortunately would affect the value we can put against it when making our offer, With currency, we do look for any misprints or rarity in these as they are often worth more and can reflect in your offer amount. I am pleased to hear you do like the idea of the service, and I am sorry to hear you are disappointed in the fact you didn't ask for your items to be returned back to you. We do thank you for giving our service a try anyway. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team. 💜
rubbish value for money i think you are cons

Hi Karen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the value for money. Our appraisers assess the age, authenticity, quality, and condition of the items and consider the value of the items within the second-hand marketplace when making their offers. Our offers are based on what we can expect to make from the items in our outlets, and we do offer slightly less in order to maintain a viable business. Having looked at your account, I can see that the majority of items were made from silver plate, which unfortunately didn't have much of a rarity to them, which would limit the offer amount. I am sorry to hear that you accepted the offer that you were unhappy with, as we do always offer a free returns service for the box of items if a customer is unhappy. We thank you for giving the service a try anyway. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team.💜
Very poor offer, there were cameras, one a box camera another an olympus plus some kodak ones.A pair of binoculars, vintage brass light fitting, various brass ornaments including a brass bell which was unusual.A brass car horn a pair of ancient piano candlesticks , lots of silver plated and the odd silver cutlery and sugar tongs, a mappin and webb dessert spoon 1950's an antique clock that did not work.among other things and the offer was £27.What an insult.I would think twice before sending off any antiques or vintage items, get them valued and sell them yourself I know they have to make a profit but that offer was a disgrace!!!

Hi Mary, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the offer. Our appraisers assess the age, authenticity, quality, and condition of the items and consider the value of the items within the second-hand marketplace when making their offers. Our offers are based on what we can expect to make from the items in our outlets, and we do offer slightly less in order to maintain a viable business. I have managed to find your account on our system, and can see that a lot of brass and copper was sent to us, this is, unfortunately, a low-grade metal and as such will reflect in the offer given. I am pleased to hear that you chose to have your items returned to you for free though. We thank you for giving our service a try anyway. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team. 💜
DON'T BELIEVE THE SLICK ADVERTISING HYPE - STEER CLEAR OF VINTAGE CASH COW I sent them a large variety of vintage items in good condition. My husband estimated an offer of around £200 - I was expecting about £400. When I was offered £20 I thought I'd misheard!!! Then they repeated the miserly amount and I realised what an absolute con this company are. The truth is, hundreds of hopeful, trusting individuals (willing to part with their belongings to make some money in these hard times) are being disgustingly ripped-off by this swindling organisation. The only 'good' reviews on here are probably made-up! Only sell your valuables to VCC if you are prepared to be paid an insulting pittance. I would love to be a fly on their warehouse wall as all the good stuff comes pouring in and they rub their hands with glee, knowing they'll make a huge profit for a tiny payout. Of course their customer service rep will now leave a message underneath my review: 'Dear Susan, sorry to hear you were unhappy with your offer - blah blah blah - but what you were offered was because your items are difficult to resell - blah blah blah.' Don't waste your time and your valuables with VCC

Hi Susan, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we always appreciate feedback on how we can improve. I am sorry to hear you found our service to be a ‘Con’ I can confirm that we are not a con service, but if a customer is unhappy with any offer given they can ask for their items returned free of charge, no questions asked. I can assure you, none of our reviews have been ‘Made up’, and they are all true customers to have used our service. Reviews.io take genuine reviews very seriously and have a number of anti-fake policies that prevent these. If you are still unhappy I would encourage you to speak to them about this yourself. Unfortunately, I can't locate your account based on this review alone as I can see an invalid email was left, however, if you would like to send us an email at hello@vintagecashcow.co.uk, we would be happy to give a detailed explanation regarding your offer. I do hope you chose to utilise our free returns service and have your items returned back to you free of charge so you can sell them elsewhere. I thank you for giving our service a try, and hope you choose to contact us again so we can shed some light on your offer for you. Best wishes, Rebecca from the Vintage Cash Cow team.💜

Do not trust them. I sent one assorted box and received what I thought was a reasonable offer, but that proved to be the bait. I then sent a second box of silver items (which had been checked and insured by a leading jeweller). I was offered £27.50 and informed they were plate, not silver. When I mentioned they were hallmarked I was told that hallmarks weren't a guarantee and they had checked the silver content and it was only 2%. I asked for the items to be returned. They were, badly packed and damaged. About two weeks late I took the same 4 items to a visiting buyer in the village hall and was instantly given £450.

Hello Bridget, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the service, we appreciate hearing what customers have to say whether this is positive or negative, as it helps us improve our service. Silver plated items may also have hallmarks on them, to show the maker's mark, the location of plating, and sometimes trade mark symbol. Our appraisers use X-ray fluorescence guns to determine the composition of metals. For a service like ours, we do have to have a reputable way of ensuring that we can give accurate offers for items we receive and this is why we invest in equipment like the XRF gun. I sincerely apologise that your items were not wrapped well for their return, and we do encourage all customers to get in touch within 28 days if there is an issue. We are really pleased that you were able to sell your items for a price that you were happy with. Best wishes, Nicola from the Vintage Cash Cow team💜
