“Once you get over the learning curve, it's a pretty good system to use. I do wish though that I could bring in video. I didn't want to use After Effects and thought Sparkol would do both.”

“Dear VideoScribe-Team, Thanks for this great program. I have created quite a few videos already and got used to the functions that you offer. Although I am always quite satisfied with the final videos, there are still some problems that occur when producing them: 1. When you record a voice more than 2 or 3 times, the whole program crashes 2. There is no delete button in the time line, I always have to click on the item 3. There is no export option for .mp4 4. When I make a series of videos, it would be helpful to make folders. At the moment the start page with all of the videos is quite unclear 5. If I copy and paste too many items from one video to the other, the program tends to crash as well 6. Many times, after exporting the videos, some items are missing in the exported video, which were in the timeline of the .scribe file. I have to double check each video to see if they were exported correctly. Thank you anyways for this program. I hope this feedback can help you in developing an even better product for your customer! “After visiting your website I received an amount of mails phishing addresses. That's bad. And at last I did not buy VideoScribe because I had to pay by Paypal; this company has not turned back 40 € I submitted to them some years ago for a product I never received. Since then I don't do any business with them.”

“Hello Team, thank you for asking for feedback. I do like the software but there are some hiccups that could be improved: 1. "command z " - to undo is not working. Some actions can be undone but some not which is very confusing. Yesterday I created a scribe and at the very end of the project I must have clicked mark all and expanded all canvas so much that the project did not make any sense. It was not even possible to play it. "Undo" was impossible. I had to mark it all and try to bring it back to reasonable size. This action is also very limited in the program because I was not able to control the size, it was jumping from huge to mini. I played for an hour to recover my canvas and during the struggle I dropped the click of the mouse ( because I was not able to hold the mouse pressed for so long) when canvas were mini. You may imagine how difficult it was to find my mini canvas. When I pressed play - nothing was playing. The program was behaving really weird. At the end I managed to bring canvas back to size and move to a place where I can see it when playing. Very frustrating experience. How to improve or prevent it? - my idea is to introduce the possibility of "undo" to all actions. 2. I am surprised to see so many canvas I have to pay for. It is fine to have some but I would suggest to have at least one free canva for each word before introducing 10 paid canvas on a word that does not have any free canva at all. Example : "greed" 3. It would be useful to have a possibility to save an audio or at least export it. In VideoScribe if I want to record a voice I have to write it over the previous one. I would like to have an option to keep the previous audio in case the new one is worst. Also if I want to have voice and the background music I have to use different program because in VideoScribe it seems impossible to make music super quite and voice laud. I don't see voice controls anywhere. Many times I would like to keep just first half of my audio and work on the second half instead of having one, long piece of audio with no mistakes - that is very challenging. Another timeline with audio is needed here in my opinion. That will be helpful in case I have the audio and would like to create canvas. In VideoScribe I have to have canvas first to hear the audio. 4. The program crashed few times but my projects were saved which I am glad for. 5. Option to move in a canva instead of drawing - I would use a default no hand for that action. The hand that moves canvas in looks awkward. I don't think many people use it including myself. I always have to go and click few times to remove the hand. 6. What I like is that the program is easy to use. I did not have to study manual to start. 7. It would help tones if I could change a drawing hand on each canva from my project at once instead of clicking each one to change the hand. This is useful in case you need to change the voice from female to male after creating a video ( I have to change to male hand manually, each canva at the time) ~ is it possible to receive a reply to my feedback? The above points make sense? Or am I using the program in a wrong way and features I mention exist? If not, will there be improvement in the software? Thanks. Magdalena: adventures.little@gmail.com”

“My initial impression is that most of what can be done with Sparkol can be done in PowerPoint except the drawing (which be be done crudely). I nearly cancelled after working through my first project. There are few things that should be available upfront: 1. Font selection---I found it after I finished my first project 2. Sound control---I'm still trying to figure that out---there doesn't appear to be a lot of control but maybe it's there somewhere For the price, the product would get another star if it was not a subscription. It's worth buying once but not every year. We'll see. Maybe when I've mastered it I'll be more enthused.”

“After spending considerable time with this - for a week - I think it greatly needs more drawings. (I'm sure you hear this constantly, haha). But I think there are many tremendous things you have done - the drawings you do have are wonderful! Again, I was disappointed in the drawings to choose from. When I went to the website that was given to purchase more drawings, I personally felt like I was being taken advantage of. It was something like 25 drawings for 40 dollars or something like that. I don't remember, but I do remember how I felt, which was "do they actually think we're going to pay that much money?" I would actually pay for more drawings - but what they asked felt, to me, outrageous to the point of laughter. Sorry I'm being exactly honest, here. Haha. Also, I was disappointed there was no way to put on more than one soundtrack. Because of this, I had to spend an extra - no kidding, at least - 3 hours playing with Final Cut Pro X, and transferring the files. I had to transfer to my PC and then to my Mac because the Mac wouldn't take the files, and I don't know why - but my Mac is a new Mac - but the bottom line was that this was upsetting that it took me so long. With this said, let's talk final product - I feel like I made a great opening piece and VideoScribe told my story "relatively" well. There were not enough "dark" images of "reality", haha. So as an example I'm telling a story of a little African American who is upset. Because of lack of images, I had to settle for the adult woman, who was smiling. Haha. You know what I mean? Yes I could draw my own image or go online and go through creative commons, but then that means I don't get "paid" for my video, which is part of the reason I do this. Anyway, I want you guys to know you have created a revolutionary AMAZING product. I'm just telling you where I think it needs to be improved. This is why I gave it 3 stars - just because I see where it can be. And I hope you approach this with the same dissatisfaction so you can take it to the next level, where it deserves to be. Thank you.”

“VideoScribe is simultaneously a clever and productive tool for creating whiteboard animations, and a frustrating user experience that can really cost more than one intended. Making an animation is quick and it's easy to learn to use VideoScribe. Most features work as expected ... except. There is no undo function. If you spend time lining things up and then try to move an object, VideoScribe will just as likely rotate the object you wanted to move. And, no undo. You have to realign everything. Another complaint I have is the included graphic objects. Many are too complex to be effective in line drawing. This contributes to the proliferation of terrible quick draw videos that simply have a hand rapidly scribbling across a complex drawing that appears all too quickly. I think VideoScribe is the architect of its own decline by making it easy for anyone to create a poor quality quick draw that fails to utilize the captivating mystery of seeing a hand slowly evolve an image creating curiosity in the viewer's mind. The only thing that might slow this proliferation of slap-dash quick draws is the cost of VideoScribe. One will buy it for a month, thinking $30 isn't a bad price. But then the project goes overtime and before you know it, you've been billed for several months. Then, you need to make revisions and, SLAM, you've been billed for $300, just for one project. I'm going to check out Easy Sketch Pro. Though, I have a feeling it's worse than VideoScribe. Maybe we need to find a new technique to communicate as the world becomes inundated with boring Scribes that ruin the effectiveness of the medium.”

“I'm a professional DP and editor. I find that the audio syncing process is very poor. The way I work with your software is exporting scenes from your videoscribe and editing it in FCP X where I can control timing, audio and voiceover. I wish I've had more music and audio control within your software.”

“VideoScribe is a one-trick pony, and a simple program. You can't exactly place a drawing or photo, you can't see any values like scaling, x and y value. You can't place images BEHIND another image, only in front of it. It's a pity, I'd like to see more possibilities to place a drawing EXACTLY, or to replace an image exactly.”

“As I bought videoscribe - I really expected much more pictures in your library - if you search for example for 'secret', or 'pyramid' - almost nothing is found... and you either need to buy them or go through a lot of effort to make them. Something else - I would expect that it is easier to streamline voice and audio - for example - if I only want audio to start from a certain picture onwards - this does not seem possible... I like the program and its usability - but I think it needs to mature Thanks for the training videos by the way - they are nice”

“A few things i think would make video scribe better and more user friendly - 1. 'Erase' tool should automatically change to the colour you have changed your background too. 2. A lock image tool would be very useful. 3. Grids with millimetres. Grids should also stay on when saved, exited and reopened. 4. SVG/PNG/JPEG files of my own get very blurred when imported into video scribe - no better when exported. 5. When making longer videos, pressing the back button to get to the beginning of your video scribe is tedious. A scroll bar would also be very useful. 6. Cut button is too close to the set camera button, it makes it very easy to cut something you don't want too, especially when the undo button doesn't work properly. 7. Layering things onto of each other would be good too. Having things pop up at exactly the same time would help.”
