We are a couple in our 30s who love travelling and exploring the most beautiful spots of the world, but this was a special trip: our honeymoon. We chose a boutique cruise and was a delight, nothing to do with the crowds of regular cruises. The attention was 5 star… Not just the honeymoon treats and decor that we found in our room, but everyday details like having your towels ready for you at the end of the excursions, or the fresh perfumed face towel and glass of juice waiting for you as you get on the boat after every snorkelling make you feel really pampered. There is also a spa for treatments and massage that we didn’t get to try. We also loved being able to go kayak or paddle board around the boat any time the boat was stopped. It was perfect to get to all the special spots at the right time, and it felt like having the place to yourself! Also we got to explore most of the Seychelles and to learn about the Islands in the most confortable way. The excursions were diverse so you could keep a more calm pace or jump into the adventure depending on your mood. The beaches and sea life we saw was amazing, but there’s also a lot of jurassic nature and animals to see (feeding the giant turtles and holding their little babies is an incredible memory that will stay with us) The crew was incredibly attentive and charming, it felt like home! And what to say about the food... like the foodie I am, this is a HUGE matter and I believe all the passengers agreed that it was definitely top notch! Both local and international food was really well made. For us, discovering the cuisine of the destinations we travel to is a must. Also the wine and beverage selection was broad and perfectly advised. The creole night was super fun, and also fishing from the boat at night! I fish a barracuda! We truly had an amazing experience that will stay in our hearts forever.

Dear Begona, thank you so much for your kind words. Sea you soon!
Travelled on Variety Voyager for the Classical Greece - the ship was bigger than we had anticipated, beautifully maintained throughout. The cabin was a good size as was the bathroom. All the staff without exception - from those who worked below deck to those who were customer fronting, were friendly & courteous. Yota the Hotel Manager was fantastic, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble for her & we often saw her getting stuck in to assist her team. Probably the 2 disappointments for us were created by bad weather/rough seas and that was a)only one swim stop & b)not having a lot of time on Mykonos (we chose to do the Delos excursion, which we don't regret), but it meant a couple of hours on Mykonos, so no beaches and literally time only to have a meal. The best recommendation we can give for Variety Cruises is the fact that we look forward to being onboard another of their vessels, doing another wonderful trip in the not too distant future.

We had an excellent cruise director -- Joseph -- who was extremely accommodating and a wonderful tour guide on our excursions. The staff was great. The food was good and plentiful, including options for us vegetarians. Our ship, the Harmony G was very comfortable. I would recommend the trip to others.

We recently did the Garden of Eden cruise around the Seychelles on the Pegasos sailing on 17th November. The ship was not full so there was plenty of space although there was a bit of scrapping over sunbeds by some of the Germans on board! There was a group of Germans whose leader was a bit over bearing but other than that the rest of the passengers consisting of Brits, French, French Canadians and Belgians and one lone German couple not part of the group got on well. We had a class C cabin which was comfortable, a little on the small size but we spent very little time there other than sleeping and changing so it was not an issue - it did give us very easy access to the sundeck so that was a bonus although it meant we had to keep our curtains shut at all times!! As this is not the most modern ship the bathroom was also quite small and the fittings are a little dated and there was a knack to making sure the shower doors did not roll back and forth when there was a slight swell! The food however was very good throughout with a decent choice and the fish and especially the beef tenderloin were all excellent and presented beautifully. The staff were very professional and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble, so a big credit to the captain and George who was in charge of Hotel operations. Our Entertainment host was a little distracted and perhaps not quite up to the same standard as the other staff, which was a shame. We enjoyed the excursions to Curieuse, Cousin (beware of the mosquitos here though) and Aride islands particularly, which are basically nature reserves with not many other tourists or facilities which we liked. For those interested in the natural world and ornithology in particular then these are excellent excursions and the landings on small boats through big surf waves was all part of the fun. There were several excellent snorkelling trips and the variety of fish and marine life was pretty good and a lot of new coral growth was particularly evident! As this was our first cruise with Variety it will almost certainly not be our last as we enjoyed our small ship cruise - we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise which certainly exceeded our expectations.

We cruised the Galileo August 17, 2018 and it was fantastic! I absolutely loved the ship! The entire crew went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. The rooms are nice and the food is very good. The views from the ship are beautiful and each island is different. I loved the intimacy of the smaller ship. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. I highly recommend this cruise!

Dear Hans-Dieter, thank you for reviewing your Seychelles cruise experience on board our Pegasos. And what a beautiful picture! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back aboard any of our ships discovering around the world. SEA you soon, The Variety Cruises Family
I was on The Panorama II end of June 2015, with strong winds and my fear of sea sickness. The ship travels so well that we had no problem whatsoever. Overall, the food was EXCELLENT, the staff professional and very helpful (thank you dear George and Captain Costas!) and the itinerary we chose, which included both the Cyclades plus the Peloponese part, offered the best of the greek islands. We had swim stops of course which added to the adventure but missed the beach bbq because of new laws, they said. Anyway, the whole experience was so good that I would recommend it to all!!!! Greek Islands cruise on Harmony V. First of all it is not a yacht and not a luxury one, it is just a worn out boat with drab interiors, grey looking linen and towels to match. Accomodation is very basic, the food is average to put it politely. They employ staff from third world countries, who do not know anything about the wine and food they serve. When it comes to drinks from the bar they charge extra for soda water that is added to your spirits...what planet did they come from? For the first two days they were changing our itenerary every few hours, so eventually we did not go to Crete, but went to some smaller island. They kept blaming the weather ahead. To cut the long story short, the best time we had it was on the land, not on the boat. We have met a few couples from France and Italy and they were of the same opinion about this cruise. I think that it is grossly overpriced for what is on offer and we are very disappointed.

Our recent cruise with Variety Cruises was a seven night cruise experience around the Peloponese focused mainly on the historical and archaelogical sites of the area. Our tour leader was excellent, and our cruise coordinator also. Meals were full board and delicious and we were lucky that the weather conditions allowed us to have lunch and sometimes dinner too in the alfresco dining area of the upper deck, which provided unobstructed views of the ports of call where our ship, the Panorama II was docked. Excellent staff and service, we will be back! Thank you everyone!

We went thru the panama canal. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, the food and most of all the mega yacht experience! Each and every mber of the crew were helpful and congenial. It was refreshing to have the captain so available and informative. We were on an odyssey tour so I cannot comment on the variety shore excursions

Cuba was not our first Variety and won't be our last cruise with Variety. We are not likely to get another cruise where we were a passenger list of eight. A party having cancelled. This did not mean any of the crew took less time nor attention to our needs whether personal or trips. No less selection of anything. They kept to the normal schedule. So well done crew and Variety for choosing them!!

My wife and I traveled on the Variety Voyager from Herradura, Costa Rica, through the Panama Canal. We had great fun. Our cabin was clean and comfortable and our cabin stewardess was very attentive. The bathroom and shower were more spacious than found on the typical small ship. The captain and officers were very friendly and generally eager to answer questions, and they were always professional while on duty. The dining room staff members were very friendly, polite, sometimes appropriately playful with the guests, and attentive to every request we made of them. The service was really exceptional. The tour coordinator worked very hard to ensure all guests were having fun. The quality of the meals was top-tier. The snorkeling was fantastic and everyone enjoyed the beach barbeques. Our trip with Variety Cruises was one of the best small ship experiences we've had to date. Variety has earned our repeat business.

Yannis and Marita and the rest of the crew made our sailing experience very comfortable and pleasant. The entire crew was hospitable and polite. It would be nice to have hand lotion in the room.
