I would recommend avoiding Vanarama at all costs. Extremely poor customer service. Ordered pickup truck with roller shutter. Pickup delivered with no roller shutter. Was advised by vanarama to not drive the vehicle whilst complaint was looked into. This left me without transport for 2 weeks. Vanaramas resolution was to refund the amount for the roller cover, have me get it fitted myself but charge me for vehicle rental, in full, from the day that the truck was delivered regardless of the fact that it was sitting parked unable to be used and was of limited use thereafter whilst I awaited delivery of a roller shutter that I had to order myself. Extremely poor.

Would not recommend this firm, misleading, breaching their own FCA conditions. Failure on their part with breaching account management and cross-relation applications. Decline customers with no transparency on the business services, do not carry out accurate KYB, AML & Identity checks to the fine tune. The finance team or director are not honest, and seem to judge mullet anyone they choose fits. Considering us having a great credit history and terms in and out throughout with other providers. Do not consider the facts, and ultimate contain common sense with if a business is genuine and good interests for them or not. I smell a report to the FCA on the horizon. Do not recommend at all, go to alternative provider. Lee

Leased a van through Vanarama, was told the van is in stock so delivery no later than 3 weeks. Now I’m being told that it will be 2 months from order date before the van will be delivered.

Ordered a new van, was told several times 14-21 days delivery time which was the main reason for choosing this company. This was also expressly advertised on their website. Before I agreed to submit the finance application for the lease, I made one final confirmation that the delivery date would be as advertised (14-21 days) and I was ASSURED it would be. As soon as the finance was proposed and accepted they called me to say it would actually be at least another month on top of that, knowing full well I would be stuck as too many finance applications might leave me in a position where the next one got declined and leave me in a position with no van, should I cancel. Completely disappointed and I was flat out lied to.

Shocking! Ordered a car and promised 3 week delivery. 4 months later and STILL waiting. Avoid like the plague and would advise everyone to avoid like the plague. You name it they’ve given the excuse, car stuck at customs, now in a container and keep moving the date further back. False advertising and they are not prepared to do a single thing about it. Reported to ASA

Vanarama leased us our first ever EV this month. I have to say that they worked miracles: They delivered us the car we wanted in 6 weeks when everyone else said that it was not possible or that we’d have to wait months 💪 They gave us a rate £60 per month better than anyone else we found 💷 The car came with amazing extras (free type 2 charger with free install, free insurance for both of us for the first year, free delivery, free redundancy cover 😎 The customer service was excellent - they really looked after us! We’ll certainly be going back to them next time we’re on the market 🤓 Overall with the extras the package was so competitive that I don’t believe I would have got a better deal through salary sacrifice! If you are in the market for an EV then I cannot recommend them highly enough!

SHOCKING DISPLAY OF NEGLEGENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were supplied an L200 with a different registration to the one that we signed finance docs for and insured. The vehicle was recently involved in a road traffic accident and the insurers refused to accept the claim. We were never notified of the registration change and Vanarama are refusing to assist, claiming that I was notified of the reg change by a TEXT MESSAGE. No texts were ever received and all other correspondence was by email!

Scam company. Ordered electric car 3 months ago - notified me 3 weeks before delivery to say date put back 6 months. Cancelled order - but noticed their advertised monthly rate for same car has gone up almost £100 a month.

Absolutely terrible service, I guess they advertised a car that was never available at that price, they used delay tactics, by the end of the process I had chased by email in excess of 20 times on top of numerous calls, they did the credit search, I provided all details within minutes of being requested, the credit search apparently took close to 2 weeks, I have a excellent credit score & then they told me the monthly costs had gone up from £254 to £343, but as a gesture of goodwill they would look for a alternative car, but it wouldn’t be the make or model that we wanted. They have no complaints department, they have no customer service attitude, in fact they really don’t care. They never told me it could take this amount of time, they never told me there was a chance the car price could increase & now the manager that I have spoken to gloats how they refuse to remove the credit search from my credit file. I wish I had never come across these cow boys, the very worst company I have ever had any dealings with, luckily they are answerable to the Financial Ombudsman, so as Vanarama do not have their own complaints department, mine is now logged with the FO!!

waited since october when i ordered my car, keep getting texts stating we are on with your order. I arranged for my other car to be returned feb only now to be told it wont be here until possibly july. What a shower Vanarama are, .... not enough customer relations keeping us informed. Certainly will not be using these or telling anyone else to use them. will stick to high street dealers in future and get one from showroom.

I took out a lease on a Mercedes Citan van for three years I was told to take the lower option of 8000 miles per year which I thought was low but the agent said not to worry as if I went over this it was cheaper to pay the excess of 0.4 pence per mile it was only by chance that I was told the excess was £1.90 a mile during my phone call to them regarding the value after the first year for my insurance quote Luckily I was able to increase the mileage to 10.000 after the third year I asked if I could extend the lease by another year I got mixed replies from several agents not knowing if my request had been approved luckily I’ve received another rental charge which I take as confirmation.During a service I had done the garage informed me that there was a oil leak on the drive shaft I called Vanarama to inform them and what I needed to do I was told that it had to go to Mercedes dealer As any repairs had to be done by them & not my local garage I got a call from the Mercedes garage asking for authority to carry out the repairs I was under the impression that the repairs would be met by them I called Vanarama back and told them the response was that was responsible for any repairs but that’s not the problem the problem is that I could have taken the van to my local garage and had the repairs done at a considerably cheaper cost and the time of arranging a lift to & from the dealers as long as they use original parts

Like most others, I would leave a -10 feedback if I could. I ordered a new Mitsubishi in April 2021. Paid deposit etc and got bombarded with calls trying to sell me extra bit etc. June 2021 the Mitsubishi was delivered, however constant battery issues, so unable to start about 10 times, so was eventually recovered by Mitsubishi as they could not start it. Thereafter off the road in a garage for weeks. Turned out the vehicle was made in October 2019 and delivered to me in June 2021. Vanarama don't give a sh*t. I had a hunch it was an older vehicle when I ordered, but believed their lies, telling me over the phone twice it was made in 2021. Turns out Vanarama lie and their after sales care is just not there. Vanarama don't care, so don't waste your time. Now preparing legal papers to take them to court if not sorted by end of Jan 2022.

Probably the worst company I have had to deal with, I work as a project manager in construction so I have to deal with some shxt, let me tell you now, lads... this company, vanarama hits all levels of stupid, bullshxit the staff are all full of shxt & will tell you what you want to hear. 3 months I've been led to believe my so called new truck was being delivered to me so on the 27.10.21 so I booked the day off to sign for it & at 2.30 in the afternoon I get a call to say the delivery was cancelled.......are you for real...... I cancelled the truck straight away & ordered it through a proper company. Avoid the company at all costs.

My wife and I decided to take the seemingly amazing EV deal from Vanarama with free insurance and a free charger. The experience started off well but soon disintegrated. Firstly, the insurance takes up to 10 working days to return emails. The Insurance then did not accept the NCB even though proof was given, the frustration was increased as we received 1 line responses, 4-8 days after sending documentation\replies. We have had to arrange our own insurance as we only received responses after delivery of the vehicle, making the Vanarama deal less competitive to other leasing companies. Charged EV not letting us know the charger would not be installed on time, and we are still awaiting the charger or any kind of notification of installation. It's been a month since the application was submitted. Charged EV not communicating with us re delays. The dealership delivering the vehicle arranged an AM delivery and only arrived at 4 pm. I was booked for surgery, and we needed to make alternative transport arrangements due to this delay. This added further cost to us even though we planned efficiently. We were not offered an alternate day and we twice communicated we could not do PM and were assured this would be AM. We later found out the Dealership was late because of the incorrect licence plates being on the vehicle which they drove from the midlands to Cambridge. Wonder if this is legal? The Vehicle was delivered with an error, and we were told to take it to a dealer to repair. When contacting the call centre, we were informed we might need to pay, by Hannah, as we had not taken out the Vanarama maintenance and service plan, and there is nothing Vanarama can do about that. Unacceptable when only taking delivery of the vehicle. While under the knife (literally), the delivery person then showed my wife the inside and outside of the vehicle and asked if she was happy to accept. No test drive, no further inspection and certainly did not take her through the questionnaire which he completed himself on the iPad giving himself 10/10 and ticking everything else off without asking her any questions, only saw this after receiving the emailed form. We were then told to drive it and it will be fine by Lauren, and it will be covered under warranty. We called and were told an escalation manager would contact us within 6 hours, this did not happen. The escalation manager has to date not found a resolution and the last email from Connor was the 19th of October telling us he will have a meeting with the insurance team that day and get back to us right after. I wonder if the finance companies are happy with us giving a faulty vehicle back to them at the end of the term? I will keep all the evidence of reporting this and give it to them when asked. Vanarama has made our first leasing experience terrible as they have done nothing to assist and support. This has caused more of a headache than an enjoyable experience.
