“Avoid this shocking excuse of a company. I returned an order and despite proof of return via Royal Mail using Urban Excess's return process they are claiming they have not received the item and have failed to refund me. To date I have only received one email despite chasing for an update on the return/refund multiple times. As a result I have contacted the consumer ombudsman for advice. Avoid disappointment and use another retailer.”

“I am waiting for a return for a product they send in wrong size The email are now 10 days on waiting the return label I reply and nobody is answering and I spend £40 to something I cannot wear ! Unbelievable”

“A company with a reputation like these have should not be taking money from customers for products they do not have in stock. It’s that simple. All stock is counted I assume and there are IT systems in place which modify stock numbers from sales and deliveries so how are they still making these mistakes? I am not the only person to have this Issue and for it to be blamed on an IT error as I can see from other reviews. Not only have they took my money for something they didn’t have, it took me to email them to find this out. A week later and I’m still waiting for my refund and any communication. If you want a product don’t buy from these. Just google the same product and buy elsewhere. Or risk having your money taken and you having to do the leg work to get it back. Very disappointed. Expected better from Urban Excess”

“I ordered 2 items one month ago. Then called Urban Excess 10 days ago saying I have not heard anything about delivery, was then told one of the items should have been sent out a while ago the other one had a flaw and whether I wanted a refund. I was told one of the items would be send out that same day and they would inform me on the other item/ whether they could send me one that wasn’t flawed. I have not had any communication from them since and still have not received anything in the post.”

“Ordered a Patagonia jacket in the sale 4 days ago with next day delivery. No mention from anyone of the shipping and no reply from anyone on the customer service end. All it says on my account is paid but unfulfilled. What a joke. If you're thinking of buying from these just don't.”

“The boots I ordered as a gift had a fault in the leather and UE promptly ordered three pairs so they could pick the most perfect one to post to me as a replacement. Absolutely brilliant service from Ben.”

“I ordered the Wrong Size Boots, No Dramas what so ever, they organized the return pickup and got the correct size in for me, I dealt with Ben from Customer Service who was Excellent, he answered all my Questions in quick response and kept me informed with all updates, This has been a Hassle Free Transaction and I a Happy Customer. Highly Recommended AAA+ for Service and will be buying from them again, Do yourself a favor and shop at UE a Company with Great After Sales Service.”

“AWFUL. Errors in packaging, sizing and, worst of all, hassle & reluctance to accept responsibility and expedite replacement. They required copies / scans of labels - i.e. their own wrong labels - before they eventually accepted. Very quick to say 'send us more money for another replacement item and we'll refund original when we get it back'...instead of what a reputable company with the slightest customer care approach would do! Tread very carefully !”

“Ordered to be delivered to my house, ended up in Brixton. Despite showing them my email confirmation of shipping address they sent me a screen shot of their system saying it stated Brixton. Awful, customer service bordering on sarcastic. Will never buy from them again.”
