“Superb service by dedicated team who put me [the customer] first. They went 'above and beyond' in attending to an unexpected and un-associated complication that arose during what was otherwise anticipated to be a routine repair task. Would probably have been 'ripped off rotten' elsewhere. Grateful thanks to manager Chris, technician David, and others at Plaistow branch. Can't recommend them anywhere nearly highly enough!”

“as a commercial fleet driver our company uses Halfords who sent out universal tyres I will never recommend this company or there mobile fitters to anyone. useless communication left my number and asked to be called when fitter on way in a 90minute to 2hr window after 2 1\2 hours had to call to be told that I was to tell them when I was ready why would I do that, fitter arrived 1 1\2 hours late and no introduction no conversation took my wheel off removed tyre by hand threw his equipment on the ground then threw my rim on the floor a steel rim not alloy did not balance the wheel put it back on finished the job no manners, if you don't like your job then find another one this has made me not want to use universal tyres again and will take this up with my fleet management company terrible terrible service not a pleasant experience at all.”

“Have been using Plaistow centre for many years now and find it well managed and the cheapest around. Many thanks to Chris who pulled out all the stops when my car failed its MOT today with a broken wheel, after a few phone calls a replacement was found and back on the road I am. Fantastic effort as always. Highly recommend.”

“One of your operatives who was using your vehicle YD70 EYT in Ruskin Avenue Waltham Abbey on Sunday 21st August at around 1415. We were driving up Ruskin Avenue when your operative pulled up in front of us blocking the road, he then got out and started speaking to the driver of a Morrisons van that had a flat tyre that was parked next to the kerb, I got out and asked your operative to move so we could get passed and he said no, in fact he said call the police to move me, despite repeatedly asking him to move he refused and laughed at us, we explained we were on our way to the hospital but again said he didn’t care, he had not started the work on the vehicle and could of moved. Your operative was extremely, rude, obnoxious and found the situation funny. When he finished the job some 20 minutes later he took a picture by of our car and then followed us driving extremely close and trying to pass us on our inside and shouting at us. I am sure that this is not the kind of image you want for your company.”

“On this bank holiday, in Grapnells, Basildon one of its employees stopped the company's van, registration YE70UZY, in front of the house of people who had no parking space and because it is a two-way street, cars parked on both sides. It caused serious inconvenience in the traffic of trucks and bored motorists knocking on the door of my house to ask if the van was ours and for us to remove it from there. We had to keep changing cars so that these paths could pass. There are elderly, sick, small children who live on this street and have lived through days of a lot of noise because of this van blocking the street. If nothing is done, we will take other actions. Please alert your employee.”

“I was stranded with a flat tyre yesterday morning at a petrol station. I spotted a tyre van with, as it turned out, Jason filling up + asked for his help. He instantly said yes . A very kind deed, he was brilliant. So often these days no one is willing to just help another, not Jason, he came to my rescue. A really cheerful and decent guy. Thank you very much.”

“I would like to thank Tony and Patrick at the Purfleet Branch . I booked my car for a full service and MOT . I was treated very professionally, friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Due too a resent hospital visit I was kindly taken home and picked up by a member of the team too collect my completed car. I have used the previous workforce at Universal for many years and very pleased to see that the new halfords team are as proficient or better for my cars future needs. I wish them all well for the future , Thank you.”

“I took my car for MOT on 25/10 and unfortunately it failed for CO emissions. I was advised to options to get Cataclean and drive car on high revs. I tried this and came back on 26/10 - CO emission readings were checked by Simon and Richard, they were low than day before, so I was advised to do another 30min drive on high revs, I came back and result was the same. Then Richard & Simon tried various options as they believed car of this low mileage should not have CO emission issue, but result was not good. Then Richard tried some other options like tightening the spark plug screws, allowed natural air to pass through etc and guess what - CO emissions were reduced and MOT passed.”

“Called in on spec for a full set of tyres on our Merc and cannot praise too highly the service we received from Alex and his team. We had used them last year so guess it was no surprise but their level of customer care was outstanding. Well done gents for not just meeting but hugely exceeding expectations and keep doing what you do!!! Thank you …. Colin & Jenny”

“been a waterloo customer for several years and always had great service, was there yesterday and i waited over an hour to be served because apparently theres a lack of staff, simon was very helpful but kept having to answer the phones something needs to be done or you will lose a lot of customers”
