A reasonable room but decor dated.

Mostly good value. Sometimes rooms not cleaned/checked properly after the previous guest. Soap dispensers empty. Cups not cleaned properly. Ok if you are not too fussy.

Overall stay was nice. The only problem I had soon as I arrived, I wanted to use washroom as I was travelling from far, coming to a hotel but found the toilet is not working. I waited until our turn came and I asked the lady about the situation and she decided to open the toilet and it was working. The same lady told me they’d it’s out of order. I wasn’t happy at all

I've been a frequent Travelodge user for decades - mainly for business travelling. Apart from the odd rare occasion, I've always been pleased. You know what you're getting - the rooms tend to be clean, comfortable and adequate. However, I am bitterly disappointed that Travelodge has very recently sought to ruthlessly capitalise on the trend for extortionate hotel room rates. After having two years of not being able to meet clients due to Covid, it's a bitter blow to my business that doing so is now becoming too costly for my one-man business. But I'm sure Travelodge will have enough customers who are on corporate expense accounts that they won't give two hoots about me.

The accommodation is fine, the manager Lisa is very helpful, but getting to find the entrance of the hotel is a nightmare. It was dark and the postcode does not navigate you to the correct place, I eventually had to stop and ask someone and they said its beside the KFC. so I put that into the sat nav and it worked. Not a pleasant experience - I am an advanced driver and was negotiating the islands off the A1 for 20 mins. I wont be recommending anyone to stay here, which is a real shame just because of getting here.

Easy to get to although parking if you've got a big van is troublesome, receptionist was very helpful and welcoming, room clean n tidy although no bath, needed one today, but most annoying of all is the lack of USB points, and that's across the board with Travelodge, you'd think in this day n age they'd be able to swap the plug sockets over to ones with USBs.

The reason for my rating is because of 2 reasons 1) the breakfast option is not very good for what you pay especially the grab a go and 2) the rooms do not cater for big families and it is not an option to buy another room so I have to ask family if 1 or 2 of my children can stay with them for the duration of our visit

Fine if you can book early enough but expensive if you book last minute. Some hotels need a bit of a touch up and light maintenance. One typical example, "adjustment to the door closers" to stop doors closing with a bang! Communication with H.O. is not easy, almost impossible. If you have a booking then you can ring the hotel and these are the people who really care about you. Not the Head Office!

I found the site. Difficult to navigate. As a non UK person, I could not call customer service. As a result now, where I thought I had a booking for 30 sept.

Normally good but this time couldn’t book on line, drove to the Travelodge I was trying to book family into. Reception could take the booking, so had to call an 0800 number. Took a while to answer managed to take the booking at last. But ended up paying an agent fee ( not a lot but still extra)

Took an age to process payment & no-one answering phone line to assist. Discount voucher/codes never transpire for normal customers like us. Will probably go back to using Premier Inn in future as there are no rewards for loyalty.

Hotel was as expected for Travelodge. However, there was very inconveniently, no "bag drop off" facility. But surprise, surprise our room was ready and we could have early access for another £10.00. What an obvious con. Would definitely NOT stop at this locaragain.

Website would not allow us to make our booking the previous evening. We had to wait until the next day for it to completely take our booking

I tried to make a booking on the evening of 15th august and the system wouldn’t complete the process. I successfully booked the next morning but the price had gone up!
