I got sucked into the site to pursue ‘offers’ which then became unavailable! Booking experience was poor. Would not accept my password and didn’t respond to ‘forgotten password’’. Then said site down for work. Must have taken a dozen attempts to finally book.

Becoming increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to pay for a room using Apple's Safari online route. The only option - not my preferred route - is via my phone App.

The booking system is fine until the point of payment. When I wish to use my credit card and select the card section it consistently takes me to Apple Pay which I do not want to use. Several times this happens and it is very frustrating to say the least. I have to go back and forth trying to bring up the card payment page and I feel it's only luck when it appears. This has occurred the last twice I have booked on line and I just wish it was easier to pay if not using Apple Pay, Google or Paypal but just wanting to use a bank card. If there is something I'm not doing right I'd love to know. It really puts me off using the website to book even though I'm very happy staying at Travelodge. Please could this be sorted out?

Gutted at the hotel as a whole. The staff are amazing and goes above and beyond, but the hotel is very basic, the carpets felt damp, and the room was very cold and didn't hold heat well. Smelt slightly musty in the room

The hotel charged me for 2days breakfast when none was available I have written to request a refund but have had no response Overall the hotel is very dated in decor, and the breakfast selection is very limited The only positive is that staff were friendly and helpful

Your booking payment system is dreadful. I hate booking online with you as the payment system often fails to the point that on occasions I’ve actually made two bookings in error and on others, the booking WASN’T completed :/

This is review of my booking experience only. I found it difficult to book an ‘accessible’ room and then could not establish that we could have twin beds rather than a large double. I completed my booking without feeling confident that I have booked what we require. When I have, previously, booked a room at the Chippenham Travelodge the process has been much clearer. Disappointing.

The corridor outside our room 104 had a bad smell. The bed etc was ok, but the shower was not very safe.

Relatively easy to book but the we missed parking issues which were not clearly displayed when we booked. We have used Travelodge on many occasions over the yes and we are disappointed in the lack of information. We have now booked a hotel which we do not want to stay in but we are forced to accept it. Very, very disappointed.

I can put up with worn-out and stained carpets, but dirty bathroom is too much. Lovely staff. Helpful Georgia earned you 2 stars. You need to employ cleaners.

I have used Travelodge for years and give them 5* except!!!!!!! This time I set up an account and made a mistake in writing my email address. In my account, I can change anything except the email address. We can't get emails from them like confirmation. You say, phone the helpline at £0.13 per minute. Well I tried but the waiting time just kept mounting up. I've written to head office and asked them to change the mistake. It would have been easier if I could email Travelodge but this is not an option. I think customer services could be a little better than this, so 2* on this occasion.

Friendly staff members but the state of the room I was given was horrific, especially the carpet which had splatters of blood stains on the floor! To be specific avoid room 209. You wouldn't want to walk around barefoot either as the floor felt sticky and the colour of the carpet is changing as it's very old. There's also dust on the desk near the kettle area and there isn't a blowdrier if you wash your hair. You cannot open your curtains unless you want to become friends with the other guest staying opposite you as their window is directly facing yours. Other than that, the toilet and shower was clean, no traces of pubic hair or skid marks. I had to use shower gel to wash my hands though because the cleaner clearly forget to top up the hand gel dispenser. The hallway smells like marijuana as well which isn't nice for anyone that doesn't smoke. The best things of the room is the positioning of the TV which is right above the double bed, the 4 pillows you're given is a touch and there are type b charging points attached to the bed frame. 2 stars for me.
