I am shocked to see the bad reviews given to Travel Republic. Took a long time to answer and was unable to change or refund my holiday but that’s the rules, I understood. In today’s world travel is unpredictable. Some on line company’s don’t even have a number to call, just an online chat. I am happy with the service I have received.

Sold on false promise of a covid cover+ holiday. Tested positive the day before the holiday, contacted their customer support, no advice or assistance, told i couldnt cancel as within 7 days of departure. Reiterated i cant fly due a positive test and they suggested i should go to the airport anyway. Told them i wasnt comfortable with that and was told its upto you DESPITE purchasing the holiday with covid cover +. Which actually equals : No holiday - upset family - no refund - no rescheduling - no help or advice from travel republic. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNT WITH THESE. THEY WILL TELL YOU/SELL YOU A HOLIDAY WITH THEIR COVID COVER PROMISE WHICH IF YOUR UNFORTUNATE TO GET COVID MEANS ABSOLUTELY JACK'S HIT.

TRIED TO BOOK HOLIDAY YSTERDAY.ALL WENT WELL TIL I ASKED FOR PRINTED DOCUMENTS.WAS TOLD "NOT THEIR POLICY.DUE TO COVID!"CUDNT SEND PRINT OUT.!AYE RIGHT!BOOKED ELSEWHERE.PS.TOOK THREE GOES BEFORE CUD GET SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTOOD WHAT I WANTED!

Don't use them book directly with the hotels terrible didnt get a penny back from them after cancelling a holiday.

booked two rooms on Travel Republic and paid the deposit as requested. However, the booking was never confirmed. When I chased it over a week later I was informed that actually only one room had been available. I was given the option to cancel the booking and receive my deposit back which I agreed to. I'm still waiting for the refund nearly 4 weeks later. I have requested it again numerous times to no avail. I'm beginning to think its a scam, offering accommodation for low deposits that aren't available. False advertising and then keeping the deposits

Booked a last minute five night booking.Everything seemed to go through fine.Now here's where the fun starts.I filled in my details for accomodation,transfers and flights.Was not forwarded to easyJet website ,just there form asking other passengers,filled in my husband's name, thought nothing of it.Went to check in ,pay for seats etc,fill in passenger info.Put ref no in went to put details in both seats outbound/inbound,on my name.Could not change on there website,had to ring travel Republic up,who had to do the name change,only to have to pay 97.00p as they say it's what easyJet charge.When I quired how both seats where in my name,there representative said ,it looks like there system autofill had done it.But me not them had to pay for name change,or lose holiday.Not going to let this drop,they admitted it's there system error,so why have I had to pay so much.Never Again.

Sorry to say Worse customer service Raised a case ( option contact me urgently ) while I was in my Christmas holiday, no one got back to me until check out .I even Had to call the police at the hotel to sort 1 of the issues with this hotel . Then I had to open dispute when I came back and have been told that they will get back to me Within 28 days , it’s now more than 2 month being ignored with no update . Tried to contact travel republic through messenger, every time they tell me that a reminder is been sent to customer service !!! Been left on phone call more than 40min to be told that will get back to me by email and still nothing been sorted !!! Will escalate it to ABTA if it’s not sorted out very SOON . Acm/19830939 / ACM/19832297 No email been sent , I sent one and all I got is automated email that you will get back to me . Still chasing , worse supplier travel republic deals with ( yalago Dubai agency ) . Will use all options to get my rights back

I paid deposit and then couple days later my holiday was cancelled and they’ve refunded without letting me know and explaining me what happened with my deal

Do not book! They cancelled us 3 days after we booked. After they confirmed! Please use any other company, or better still go directly to hotel. They never answered, was on hold for hours. Don’t do it.

Avoid booking with this Holiday Thieves *No refund for covid+ cancellation as advertised* *All promises are marketing ploy and false* When we booked our package holiday, we were told that the package holiday is covered by covid plus policy and we should not have any issue getting a refund if we were unfortunate to affected by covid before travelling. We were told that we could book with confidence! We also bought their travel insurance in addition. We had to cancel our holiday due to all travellers/family tested covid+ and had no way of travelling. It's been nearly a month chasing this greedy company, we still have not received a refund nor heard from their insurance company called TIGON. It's been very stressful Christmas due to worries - not getting the refund as promised and constantly chasing while we were down with illness! This company advertise "promise of refund within 14 days" and "promise of covid plus cover", all are false statements! We do not think their so called insurance company TIGON exist. No one answer the phone calls at any time of the day or reply to any emails. We have raised the issue with their senior managers including CTO. It really feels like they do not seem to care once they grabbed our hard earned money! It was not a cheap holiday package! We really regret not booking with a reputable company like TUI or BA. You know a good company only when you have a problem; how much they care about customers and how quickly they sort out the matter. It is not always about booking online quickly or getting a best price! Avoid booking with this greedy company, if you want to have a stress free travel/booking (or your money back for cancellation). *Would not touch with a barge-pole*

I've had a hotel booking to Turkey through Travel Republic for three years as we have been unable to go on holiday for the past 2 years due yo Covid. Yesterday I checked my booking as I do periodically and found that I could book the same hotel for the same dates in identical rooms for just over £50 cheaper. As such I rang up and spoke to a nice man who confirmed the new price and said he could change it and I would shortly receive a confirmation email. However, no email arrived and when I checked today it said it was still processing. As such I rang again. This time I was told the price had gone up over £70 and I needed to pay the new price. I explained my phone call yesterday and told the man that I was not happy that I was being told I now needed to pay over £20 more than the original price because that booking had been cancelled and how their website was still showing the lowest price. I was told very rudely that my options were to cancel or pay new amount. I explained I did not want to cancel but again did not feel it fair that I should pay a new even higher amount especially when the website still had the old amount and how this was false advertising but he then told me we were going round in circles and put the phone down on me. He then had the audacity to cancel my booking despite me specifically saying I did not want that to happen. As such I am disgusting by their attitude and advise anyone NOT to use them unless you don't mind them changing your booking making it more expensive and then cancelling it!

We are currently on holiday at the Savoy in Sharm El Sheik. I had booked and paid for private transfer from the airport and no one showed up.Customer services have been notified about this and they still have communicated to explain the situation of refund what I had paid. In addition to this I had booked connecting rooms which was more expensive then 2 rooms without a connecting door. We have been give one room with single beds. We have been told this will get sorted but I have been chasing all day with no result. Very disappointing especially as we trusted them to organise a stress free holiday. I have been told we have been prioritised but it is the evening now and still nothing. Something like this should have been sorted straight away so we can enjoy our holiday.

Do not book with this company. I booked because I looked at their reviews on trust pilot which looked good and they are a member of abta However the day after I booked I received an email telling me to call them and they informed me my holiday had gone up by £1500 so I had to pay the difference , obviously I said this is completely wrong and cannot be legal practice, they said they’d refer to their management but now say the room is unavailable yet the total amount has been taken from my credit card! I have since looked on their website and the same room category is now £300 cheaper so everything is completely incorrect and nonsensical, I am extremely worried as this holiday cost a lot of money and I am due to go in 2 weeks. No one is answering the phone and I don’t know what to do Since then I found this site where the reviews are all very similar stories , clearly the trustpilot reviews cannot be genuine

If I could give a 0 ore - 🌟 I definitely will, such a bad experience with this company, very unprofessional,very rude. Obviously it's a very long story, and not nice one either, I will try to forget, I would never recommend to anyone, use them service, and never again from me, its a lot more other options which is 100% better than this one.

Despicable and untrustworthy how they are unwilling to take ownership for their own systems error. Absolutely disgusted with this untrustworthy company who are lying rather than accepting responsibility for their own website systems error. Absolutely disgusted with what has happened with our booking! I booked a 3 day break to Barcelona for our daughters 18th birthday, flights and hotel for her and her boyfriend. On the Travel republic website I entered her and her boyfriends passenger details and date of birth and then on the next page entered my name as the card holder as I was paying for the surprise present. When the booking confirmation came through it had entered myself and my daughter as the passengers not my daughter and her boyfriend! On contacting Travel republic we were told that they were able to amend the hotel booking but that BA would not amend the name on the flight, we would have to cancel it, loosing our money and book and pay for an entire new flight. Why on earth they can't change the name I have no idea but the fact was, this wasn't our error to pay for! We contacted Travel Republic again by telephone this time as we know damn well that we did not make an error, the passenger details were entered correctly and only my name added as a card holder name. After waiting 40 minutes to get through we were told that 'these things can happen' and that they would get their IT department to look in to and would get back to us shortly. After waiting a full week with no news we called again, again another 40 minutes wait to get through and then a further 20 minutes put on hold we were told that couldn't get through to the right department so they would call us back shortly. After waiting yet another full week for them to get back to us they have just finally called this morning to say that it was a customer error and that they would not be refunding the cost of the flight. We know this is an absolute lie!!! The passenger details and cardholder details are entered at completely different stages of the booking process (after you have clicked to the next page) and there is no way on earth that we entered them incorrectly. Something on their system or website was glitching/failing and has taken the data of the cardholder details rather than the passenger details. Absolutely disgusted not only with the fact that Travel Republic are not owning up to their system error but also with how poor the customer service has been with us trying to resolve this. We have asked for them to show us proof that it was a customer error so no doubt after another long wait wait we'll be sent some utter rubbish but we won't be letting this go and will be taking this up with ABTA. Despicable and untrustworthy how they are unwilling to take ownership for their own systems error.

I did get a good price with them, but wanted to change my accomodation as we were already staying there for 7 nights. I could only get through via logging a request and the responses were slow to come through. I asked if I could just take a credit, to which they also said no, which was fine, as I was in the 7 day no-cancellation window. But then I suggested booking an additional 2 nights (for a total of 5 nights) at another hotel they had at a higher rate, which would have given them additional revenue. Unfortunately, the service team was just trained to respond "No, you're already in your non cancellation period." It doesn't make a lot of sense that you wouldn't take my additional revenue for a hotel switch, but then again, maybe they operate differently. In the end, it wasn't a huge problem, but if we had been staying somewhere awful, it could have been a nightmare. I'll likely book with Booking.com, because they have quick responses from customer service and are accessible via phone and live chat too. They also have a bit more flexibility in their cancellation in certain cases - like, if i wanted to upgrade or take a credit.
