“I received my beam and it was at first fine. As it is real oak there are changes to be expected within weeks an unsightly crack along the top. Which is rough and would cut your finger to touch Where I can appreciate the rustic look a hideous looking raised crack I would. I am disappointed with the response from the traditional beam staff”

“We purchased two rustic oak shelves, brackets and a rustic oak beam and are thrilled with them - beautifully finished and look gorgeous in our room. Very friendly and helpful service prior to ordering and, when there was a slight issue on receipt of items, it was quickly sorted out for us. Would highly recommend.”

“The whole package from website ordering to delivery was everything you would want. The fire place oak beam I ordered is of great quality and was straight forward to fit but did need a bit of muscle to slide onto the brackets supplied, but this only gave me more confidence that the beam will not slip away from support rods secured in the wall”

“Rustic Oak Beam *Aged* × 1 yr 14cm x 14cm (5.5” x 5.5” approx.) / 122cm (4ft approx.) First-class company and product quality. I am a returning customer having bought a shelf for my kitchen, so when changing the lounge with a new fire, I thought I'd have a look to see if anything would suit and it did. I ordered the beam - delivered quickly, and had a bit of a wobble worrying about weight and I got a very clear and reassuring reply. Very pleased with everything how it looks and is perfect, would highly recommend the company, service, and product.”

“The beam itself is really lovely and looks great. When we went to fix it to wall two of the screws that were used for mounting hooks were sheared off. So we had to actually chisel into wood in order to move the fixings so a new screw could be used. So maybe better quality screws would be my only suggestion.”

“Really happy with the product itself well made, looks the part. Because it's so heavy being solid oak it was tricky to mount and the fixings supplied don't look that substantial, but time will tell. Fully recommend this company and the product. Thanks .”

As a guide 2 fixings have the potential to hold up to 35kg of weight including the weight of your beam - your beam has 3 fixings and weighs approx 21kg, they have been tried and tested by thousands of customers to put your mind at ease :)
