I bought a car in March 2021 from Ryan. Nice and easy went to collect the car. About 2 weeks after purchasing the car. I had an issue with the back wheel locking on. I proceeded to WhatsApp Ryan (as he hadn’t given me any other information such as email). He didn’t reply so 5 days later I messaged him again. I just wanted to know if he would know of any reason this might happen, such as the car type is known for this or if it had done it before. I didn’t want to return the car or any work done to it. He messaged back this time and was extremely rude to me. After a series of messages in which he offered to get his guys to look at the car (which was never what I wanted). He then told me it got to him when customers whatsapp him on his days off and at night (although my messages were sent at 1.30pm and 5.30). I found out the information I needed elsewhere but with any luck I will never have to deal with Ryan and his business again. I wouldn’t recommend and I wish I’d looked into it more when purchasing the car as plenty of his customers leave bad reviews due to their poor experiences with Ryan himself.

Terrible terrible experience. Ryan is a disgrace to car dealers, and thats saying something. What a joke. Zero support when I contacted him with multiple issues. Really rude. Sold me an obviously rubbish and dangerous car and blatantly lied about it. 'Warranty' not worth the paper its wrten on. Dont be fooled by the RAC and AA signs. They mean nothing. DON'T BUY from this place or from RYAN, you'll be RIPPED OFF. Angry doesnt begin to describe how I feel about being the owner of a car I cant drive now. Shame you have to leave one star to be able to leave a review.

Brilliant Service Just purchased a new (to me) car as I have opted out of my company car scheme. Its been the first time since university I have had to go through the process. I would just like to say that Ryan was extremely informative throughout the whole process from my first phone call to me driving away from the premises. I also got a fantastic deal on my Honda Civic - I couldn't be happier.

A big thankyou to Ryan for the most stress-free and easy purchase of a car I have had in 60 years of trading in my old car for a newer one.Ryan is very pleasant to deal with, answering all my and my wife's questions in a most helpful manner. In particular he handled all the Log book and Car tax paperwork required by DVLA for both cars when we collected the new car which was appreciated. The Honda CRV he sold me is exactly what I was looking for, in excellent condition , with registered FSH and new MOT.Ryan also gave me a good price for my very old car.It was also nice to find someone who did'nt talk down to us pensioners. We highly recommend Ryan at TPV.

I was also initially skeptical having read some of these reviews but having given Ryan the chance to explain his side of the story - I decided to give him the benefit of doubt and I'm glad I did. His service was great, he went the extra mile and assisted in showing me how some of the internal configurations worked on the Honda Civic I took on a test drive. As a result I ended up going ahead with the purchase of the car which I am completely satisfied with.

I went to buy a second hand Honda Jazz automatic car on last Friday. This I haven't have any experiences on driving automatic car. The buying experiences is very good. Ryan showed me the car that I liked. He showed me how to drive the car and then I have my go. He is so friendly and professional. I am very happy for the buying. I didn't feel he pushed me to buy. He just like a friend. In the end, due to I didn't have enough confidence to drive the car back on my own from the busy Bristol town center to my place. He offered to deliver the car on Sunday. He said he didn't want anything bad happen on me, he normally doesn't work on Sunday. He prefers to do something extra for me. I am very grateful. He also gave me a lift to Bristol bus station. I got my car on Sunday and I can have a little play in the area that I am familiar and learn to drive the automatic without extra pressure. Many thanks for Ryan. If anyone need to buy a second hand car, I will definitely recommend TPV Bristol.

I bought a 05 Honda Civic from TPV last week. Unfortunately within a day of buying the car, there was a problem with the gearbox. I spoke to Ryan on the phone who was very understanding and offered to get it into the garage as soon as possible or refund the full value of the car. In the end I settled for the refund with an option to rebuy if the work was completed before I'd found a replacement. Disappointed with the issues, but can't fault how Ryan handled the situation. He even refunded money for petrol.

As with many of those that have reviewed previously, my experience of TPV was not good and I was avoid at all costs. Salesperson was rude, abrupt and hung up on me. Once the car was delivered and I had problems he went AWOL and would not return my calls or emails. I was sold the car with full service history but discovered this was not the case. The paintwork also came off when I took it to the car wash indicating that it had been touched up previously. This caused me a lot of stress because I was stuck with a car I didn't want and no choice but to sell it back to main dealer at a loss because my calls went unreturned.

I have had very similar experience with this garage as mentioned in the other reviews, a fault occurred with the car on the way home from the garage, Ryan was not interested what so ever despite it obviously being still within the 3 month warranty, he said "it's not my problem". I have spent several months going through the process with trading standards he won't return calls or emails, refuses to sign for recorded delivery letters. The car had to be scrapped. Please please please do not buy a car from this garage, I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through the expense and stress that the whole experience has caused me.

Do not buy a car from this garage, bought a car from Ryan, did all the reasonable checks and past mot etc, after a day of having it the car wouldn’t start the battery was dead and wouldn’t start so replaced the battery and worked fine (car was running when I arrived at the garage I expect it Was jumped started) I then smelt diesel, once I contacting Ryan he fairly quickly got it “sorted” got the car back a few days later.. I then had issues with the gear box, turbo wasn’t kicking in, vacuum would randomly come on and glow plug/engine management light came on, this among a few minor issues was not on after buying from a garage, I tried to contact Ryan for 2 weeks calling going to the garage which was closed all the time... then found out he blocked my number so obvs knew their was a issue with the car or he wouldn’t block my number... after contacting trading standards and going Down that route I got Through to them (calling on a different number) Ryan sent his partner to deal with the issue which sums up the boy he is, his partner was very helpful and was very sorry on his behalf.. DO NOT buy a car from this garage you won’t be happy with it and don’t want people to have the issues I have had.

I am leaving this review to try to ensure that other people do not undergo the same poor experience and service that I did when I bought a car from TPV Car Sales Bristol in 2017. I did all the important pre-checks before buying the car - checked the MOTs online etc. I also made sure that I took the car on a test drive, driving the car up to speeds of 50 mph and checking the steering and the brakes too. The car dealer made me aware that there was no spare key with the sale of the car. By checking the car myself, I was also aware of a faulty seat mechanism on the driver’s seat and the fact that the FSH that the car dealer told me the car had, was in fact only a partial service history. I was told that the car was in good condition for its age and it did have a low mileage which was one of my requirements. I was NOT told that there was no locking nut and that each tyre had been blacked up to make them look like new; the tread on two of the tyres was barely at the legal minimum requirement, although I only found this out when I arrived home with the car and my brother checked the tyres with a tyre tread depth gauge. 15 days after buying the car, whilst driving, the car was constantly losing power, juddering, back-firing and the engine management light was repeatedly flashing on and off! I phoned the car dealer to explain the situation and asked him if he was aware of any prior mechanical issue to which he replied no. I asked him if he was certain and he just kept repeatedly saying 'You did drive the car. You did take the car on a test drive, you did drive it.' I told him that I would have to take the car to a garage and he told me to let him know how it went. I initially phoned the nearest Ford dealership and was told that it would cost £114.00 just to have the engine diagnostic test. I felt this was expensive and so I took the car to a reputable garage that only charged £20.00 for this test. I was told that the ignition leads and spark plugs were corroded as they had been immersed in a puddle of water for some time. The mechanic said that this may have happened when the engine had been cleaned or steamed ready for sale and then left sitting on the forecourt. He replaced the spark plugs and ignition leads and with the cost of labour and the engine diagnostic test, the total cost of repair was £93.38p. A cost that I did not expect to have to be paying two weeks after buying the car, that I was assured was in good condition. So, I phoned the car dealer back to let him know about the fault and the cost. I explained the situation and that the fault existed before I bought the car and asked him to compensate me for the additional cost of the repair. He said that he did not clean the engines of his cars (he clearly does) and that he would only compensate me £50.00, to which I asked if he was joking? He said that his mechanic would only have charged that amount and that if I had taken the car to him, that he would have had the car fixed with his mechanic. He DID NOT mention this when I phoned him to say that I would be taking the car to a garage as it had a fault. I asked him how I would have driven the car all the way back to Bristol (35 miles - 48 minutes) when the car was losing power, would not accelerate, was juddering and clearly faulty? To which he replied that was NOT HIS CONCERN and NOT HIS PROBLEM. He also told me that as it was Saturday morning, he would not be having a long conversation about the matter. He again repeated that he would pay £50.00 and no more. The conversation ended with me telling him that he was nothing short of a poor 'Delboy' car dealer and he could shove his £50.00. DO NOT buy a car off this car dealer if you are looking for a reliable car, from a trust-worthy car dealer with a good after-sales service, as from my experience you WILL NOT find any of these things from TPV Car Sales Bristol.
