“Initial survey was very helpful. Identified the sources of our damp problems, explained them in clear and concise fashion and clearly identified what corrective actions were required. The content and format of the report was excellent. The first of three stages was done to a very good standard on the scheduled day. We will be proceeding with the next stages when we can complete the preparatory work, which I have every confidence will be completed to the same standard.”

“We have used Timberwise South West on about 4 occasions for damp proofing, tanking work and most recently for woodworm treatment. We have always found them extremely professional, reliable and their work is of a very high standard. In fact on the last couple occasions when we needed some work done, we went straight to Timberwise and did not look at any other company / get any other quotes. I would say their prices are competitive, but probably not the cheapest but then you get what you pay for and Timberwise work comes with a 20 year guarantee. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again / recommend them to someone else.”

“I tried for days to get a call back from several companies without any luck Timber wise not only gave me a call but reassured me that I was doing the right thing as I didn’t have a clue who to speak to or where to go with the damp issues in my home. I now have an actual date for a surveyor to assess the problem and it’s such a relief to finally be getting somewhere at last.”

“Surveyor arrived in the time slot advised.Respected our property by removing his shoes without our asking.Knew his onions.Advised us what the issues were and that we really needed a general builder as problems were external and not a specialist damp proofing matter.He did suggest they could do the remedial work but at specialist workers rates.Cannot thank him enough for his honesty and advice and a breath of fresh air to meet someone who wasnt seeking to make a load of money out of our circumstance.Highly recommend.”

“Following a request for a survey which was promptly scheduled with a friendly and knowledgeable Steve Kholer, we discovered a much more rampant issue with Dry Rot. The team at Timberwise lead by the very experienced Norman who attended site fr the duration, including Justin, Adie and Mark could not have been more professional and helpful. Dry rot had spread to several rooms, munching through joists and partition walls. A weeks work turned into about 5 weeks. We're also grateful to Leah in the office who sorted out planning to get our house put back together a few days ahead of Christmas. We're especially thankful for finding a company who clearly knows what they are doing, especially during what is a stressful experience. Final thanks has to be to Norman. A one in a million. Thank you Norman. Thanks to Steve and Caine, The Local Branch Manager for mucking in 'on the tools! Thoroughly recommend Timberwise.”

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We do make a charge for our pre-purchase damp and timber reports. The cost is based on numerous factors including the location and size of the property and as a result the price can differ for different properties. We always ensure that people requesting a pre purchase timber and damp survey (either as part of the home buying or selling process) are made aware of the cost of the survey prior to proceeding with us. This then allows people the choice to choose another supplier should they wish to.

“I had problem with damp on one of the wall in my house in Manchester. Contacted Timberwise Manchester and was very impressed with the service from start to finish. From the office staff, surveyors, technicians and plasterer, all did their job professionally. Adam the surveyor came with someone else and I couldn’t fault their attention to details and took the time to explain to me the process and time to complete the work. Timberwise came at the appointed time, took care to protect my belongings and left everything clean and tidy. Very happy with the job they did to the wall, while carrying out the work in an efficient and orderly manor. The technician (can't remember his name) returned the next day to finish the skirting board even-though he had injuries with one of his fingers. The plasterers are perfectionist. Very happy with the plaster. I am extremely happy with all of the work done. Thank you. I would recommend this company.”

“Our grateful thanks to first to Timberwise surveyor Graham Malpass who diagnosed our timber problem and took all my concerns away and also to Nick, Dave and Dav who worked non stop. They took the old timbers out and replaced them with new ones. Everything went smoothly and they worked in difficult conditions (in our cellar) with good humour, cleaning as they went. Professional service from start to finish. Thank you.”

“We got in touch with Timberwise after discovering a leaky shower had soaked through some timber beams below (about a year ago) and fungal growth appeared. Jenna on the call was helpful and arranged an appointment. South East rep Gary Carty came over to view, he was extremely thorough and knowledgable and said that as the leak had been fixed and his readings showed below levels of concern we should remove the growth and there was nothing to worry about regarding the integrity of the timbers. He actually told us not to spend money, a refreshingly honest approach.”
