“Just got back from doing the nine day course with Darren at UK pro tiling. As a multi-skilled tradesman with over 20 years experience I've done my fair share of tiling and thought I knew what I was doing. Boy was I wrong! I decided to do the course for three reasons. Firstly, although I could stick tiles on a wall or a floor, I knew I could be better and faster. Secondly I enjoy tiling and decided I wanted to focus just on that instead of freezing my backside off fixing a roof in the middle of winter and lastly I wasn't very good at marketing and so work was always up and down. After spending nine days with Darren I have come home fired up and confident that by applying what he teaches my new business (East Kent Quality Tiling) will be a success. So, if you are looking for a career change as a tiler then this is the ONLY course worth spending your money on. I had looked around at a lot of tiling course centres but kept coming back to UK Pro. And I wish I had done it sooner. If you are considering going to any other course my advice would be take your money and chuck it in the bin and save yourself a wasted trip. Knowing what I know now If Darren's course had been double the money I would have paid it. Yes it's very intense, yes you have a lot of information thrown at you and yes you will be knackered every day but it is totally worth it. Not only is Darren an excellent tiler and teacher he is also very inspirational. Just being around him gives you a buzz. Also he's not in it for the money because he could retire if he wanted but he does it because he's passionate about tiling and helping people succeed. And finally a mention for the lovely Tracey who helps you with booking, accommodation etc. You'd struggle to find a more warm, genuine and helpful person. When you've finished the course she gives every attendee a handwritten sorry you're leaving card. That is really caring. And they both do. So don't be a mug....book now!”

“I can’t stress enough, that this is THE course and Darren is THE guy to take your tiling skills from base level to pro level in a short space of time, you might think it’s only 3 weeks, people train for years... well don’t be fooled, you’ll be pushed from Day 1 and the content doesn’t stop coming right up until the last day. Learning the skill and repetition are 2 different things, Darren teaches you everything about the skill and all the tricks of the trade, it’s now up to you to create the repetition once you leave and you’ll be surprised how much you remember. I personally witnessed someone who had attended another course with another tiling training vendor and couldn’t tell the difference between a ceramic or porcelain tile after being with them for 4 weeks, you’ll definatley know that before lunch on the first day with Darren. Money very well spent and I can’t leave a review without mentioning the lovely Tracey, from phonecalls to paperwork to accommodation, Tracey sorted it all, you even get some donuts on a Tuesday :D Thanks for everything Darren & Tracey, I can’t possibly repay you for everything I’ve been taught and will allow me to change my lifestyle completely.”

“My tiling business is booming after attending Darren s course at UK Pro tiling Training. Darren turns you into a businessman that tiles, not a tradesman in this course. Sure he teaches you how to tile to top notch levels but it's the business side of the course which makes you the money which is what it's about after all. I listened carefully to his every word which is why I'm doing so well since leaving. I had no experience in business or tiling before attending. This course has everything that you could want in it. Book yourself on and listen carefully, complete the extensive tiling tasks set and then go and start a business after leaving, that's what I did and haven't looked back. Wish I had done it sooner, making more money now than I've ever had before Tom (from Cambridge)”

“Like most people looking to get onto a course like this I did a lot of research into other course providers and found that the course videos and reviews gave me reassurance that my money and time would be well spent going on the course provided by Darren. I certainly wasn't disappointed; the course provides you with the full range of knowledge to go and start work. I travelled from the Isle of Skye and it was great that Tracey ensured that the accommodation was good and comfortable which meant that I was able to concentrate fully on the days input from Darren. The input is fast moving and covers a huge amount of skills and time to put things into practice. Darren is on hand to help and guide you throughout. Thanks for your time and help and the positive, constructive feedback you gave me.”

“Darren delivers a masterclass in how to tile for a living, had no prior experience before attending and was really nervous, Darren does not mess about, 8.30 monday morning and your bombarded with info on what you need to know, there is no gentle break in here but boy does it deliver the goods. Breaks are non existent and Darren maximises every minute he has with you to get what you need to know inside your head. I have been away from the course for only two weeks and have already done jobs for paying customers with ease and with another 6 booked in, making well more money than my last job. Just listen to whats being taught and you cannot go wrong with making a good living for yourself. Well happy i trained here Regards Cliff from Cardiff”

“I made the long journey from Exeter slightly worried about the task in head , as car salesman I had never laid a tile in my life or done a any DIY as such , Darren did a great job on the first day to run through nearly everything you need to know and Tracey did a brilliant job from start to finish to make everyone feel comfortable, I’ve come out from the course with a full professional buisneas plan and the tiling skills to match. I feel comfortable to tile anywhere and in any situation. The course is brilliant if you want actually want to learn what it’s like on the real world unlike what you get from all of the other training centres I’ve researched. “I have been in the construction industry for 30 years and taken a vast amount of training courses. In my view, UK PRO TILING TRAINING is without a doubt, the most proffessionally taught and equipped course I've attended. Best decision career wise I've ever made. I have been running my own Tiling business since March of this year. This would not be possible without the skill level and knowledge I gained on Darren's course. He's ability to take a person who has never tiled, to start running their own business confidently after three weeks is second to none. I'm fully booked up until January 2018 and comfy ably making an average of £900-£1200 a week. If you are thinking about a hassle free way of earning a good living and changing your career. “Travelled all the way from the South of England (Surrey) up north to Hartlepool for this course and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I could of gone to an able skills course locally but would of learnt a small fraction compared to what I learnt on this course in just 9 days! It is intense but worth every penny. Not only is this a tiling course I learnt a huge amount about selling, marketing and business also. Darren and Tracey were both great. I met some great people whilst on the course, everyone was friendly and in the same boat. If you are considering booking this course and are hesitating either because of money or how far you have to travel I can assure you that you won't regret it. Overall the UK Pro Tiling course was brilliant. Can't recommend it enough!”

“It does not matter if you have never held a tile in your life before you do this course!! Darren is the God of Tiles and will have you armed with all the skills you need to succeed in the tiling business. All the techniques discussed and demonstrated albeit at a hectic pace will give you the knowledge required to go straight out to work after the course. I took the nine day option and stayed in a lovely house owned by Darren and Tracey not far from the training centre. All the housemates were great and we shared our learning experience and helped each other along the way---I would even be tempted to pay again just to get the local fish and chips one more time!!! ***** Oliver...Northampton. “After some research into tiling course's UKPro was the stand out choice and after completing the 13 day course it obvious why. This is not a tick in the box course, like many others. Darren will not waste time with endless hours of tiling simple patterns on to flat walls/floors. You are thrown into the deep end from the off, learning all the difficult cuts, layouts and situations which you will come across in the real world. The information is fast and furious but the results are fantastic, the methods Darren teaches are also simple and time efficient. The business day is a must! My goal was simple having left a high paying career I needed a jump start to create my own business so I would recommend the 13 day course if you are looking for a business start up. The facilities were great and we were always using fresh tiles for each project. Tracey was a little bundle of joy about the workshop, bringing in the signature doughnuts for the team. From the first phone call she puts all your doubts at ease, and is really helpful through out the course. *Update- Since finishing the 13 day course, I spent the first week dealing with my business (which is still not quite finished) and into the second week now I have a full weeks booked up with kitchens/floors and a full flat re-ferb which has more than paid for my course and tools! These 3 jobs were also the first and only 3 I applied for, hence I would recommend the business course and the sales techniques as its working for me. I have more jobs in the pipeline to look at and when my business goes live hopefully it will take off even more!”

“Phenomenal course I booked on for a one week course and after the first day I wanted to do the second week so I asked Tracy to book me on for another week you could not wish too meet 2 nicer people than Darren and Tracy I have learnt so much from Darren over the two weeks not just about tiling but about business and life and I feel competent to go and do tiling jobs now I know I have a fantastic knowledge about tiling if you want to be a tiler or even if you just want the knowledge to do your own bathroom etc get booked on this course it will be the best decision you have made this course has given me a brilliant new outlook on work and life thank you Darren & Tracy”

“I left wishing I'd booked onto the 9 day course because of how much I had learnt in my first full week and the brilliant time I had! Your guidance and knowledge is second to none and worth every penny I spent and every mile I drove! (860 mile round trip) I cannot find one bad word to say about my experience with uk pro tiling and the whole set up, the accommodation provided was immaculate and the houses were beautiful! A real credit to you both! I'm looking forward to my upcoming jobs now and feel more than confident to tackle any job that comes not only professionally but also efficiently whilst creating maximum profit, I already had a mild understanding of business from being self employed but the knowledge you have given me is so valuable going forward! I will be in touch over the next few months with an update whilst I try to ween myself away from the heating and gas side of plumbing to focus my attention to full bathrooms and wetroom installations alongside all other tiling opportunitys that will arise. Thank you so much again and whilst I would love to wish you every success I know you won't need it.. the perfect set up run by the perfect partnership in Darren and Tracey! “Update 1 year on. I attended a 9 day tiling course at UK Pro Tiling Training just over a year ago and it has been the best decision i have made. My business is well grounded now with repeat work coming from existing customers along with plenty referrals. I had no prior tiling experience before attending the training and was a little nervous to make such a big step and career change. Life is good with plenty of work and more money than I've ever had. Darren and Tracey are true professionals and Darrens training methods really do work, the course is not a tiling course its a full business program of how to tile for a living, There may be courses close to you but there is nothing like this course anywhere for preparing you for the real world and thats what Darren delivers by the bucket load. “Can you learn to tile in 9 days?? Yes you can! I never laid a tile in my life, now I've set up as a sole trader. Darren is very talented and doesn't take long to realise this! With Darren you get so much more than learning to tile, he gives you advice on how to run a successful business. I drove 270 miles to do the course, worth every mile! TRACYS TESTIMONY!!! Where do I start? She lights up the room, always smiling and is lovely to chat to. You feel with tracy you have know her for years. when I spoke to her for information about the course, she sold it to me straight away!”

“Having served 22 yrs in the British Army then the last 4 years working abroad in security I was wanting to find myself a trade and work for myself. I choose Tiling! From the moment I contacted UK Pro Tiling Tracey was as helpful as anyone could be. I attended the course on day 1 and quickly realised I had chosen the right place to come to learn the trade. Darren's experience, knowledge and expertise both in tiling and teaching were excellent. The knowledge and skills he taught were very well put across and made easy to understand. Not only in how to tile but also regarding how to run a business as a tiler. Particularly pleased with Tracey supplying the Teas and Donuts. I started the course having never touched a tile and now feel confident with the knowledge and new skills I have now gained to go out into the world and start my own tiling business. “What can I say that has not already been said? I have attended numerous courses from May 2016 at another venue and tiling was to be my last, at the past venue the tiling course was fully booked until March 2017 , ( only do the course 2 weeks in a month) so did some research and found UK Pro Tiling, ( and so glad I did) I spoke with Tracey just before Xmas 2016 and booked onto first course of 2017. I opted for the 9 day course to get a bit more practise at the course venue before entering the big wide world. , as other testimonials state, the Information comes thick and fast , but if you listen it all goes in somewhere and gets stored , Darren's knowledge is immense , and the after care is second to none, As soon as I returned home, I went and priced a 30m2 kitchen floor, and was awarded the job to start a week later, it was to fit 600 X 600 mm Quartz tiles , I had numerous questions and kept in touch with Darren and Tracey and all my questions were answered within a timely manner , not to hold the job up. From all the courses I done, this was the most rewarding, , and, it is from 8.15 until nearly 6 daily to get everything covered, not just office hours 9-4.30 as tutors paid , this is Darren's business and he cares for his students to learn everything. I will now be setting up a tiling business and all my other courses will be the services to help it along ( plumbing, plastering, kitchen fitting) My first job has already paid for all my tools I purchased from Darren and Tracey , plus my wet cutters I got once home, 3 more jobs similar , and that will be my course fees, lodgings and travel money back also I cannot thank Darren and Tracey enough , and cannot recommend this course highly enough, well worth the money spent and the 500 mile round trip to attend. I know I will have more questions in future, so will be keeping in contact with Darren and Tracey Once again I thank you Alan 1st class of 2017”

“The 5 day tiling course was excellent and very enjoyable. It was full on, challenging and full of information. Darren is an excellent teacher and very approachable. I could not believe how quickly I progressed and how much more there is to tiling, choice of adhesives and tile etc. Both Darren and Tracey were very welcoming and hospitable. I would recommend this course whole heartedly if you want to learn a new skill and how to run a tiling business. “Finished darrens course about 3 months ago and it has really changed my life. After finishing the course you have all the skills that you need but it is a bit scary to begin with going in to somebodys house but once you fight through that fear factor the rest is easy. Like darren said marketing, marketing and more marketing. The first thing that I did was get an account with topps tiles, not the cheapest but good quality materials, you get trade discounts and loyalty accounts, I have had quite a few jobs through them. And local window fitting firm have given me loads of work. I cannot thank darren and tracy enough It is an amazing, fun and knowledgable course and it sets you up for success. Thanks again Shayne”
