Went to the shop in Kilmarnock this evening, saw an ornament which had a sale sign and price on it, said we would take it and the woman quickly took it off us and wrapped it up, on paying we were asked to sign (Terms & Conditions) thinking this was very strange we signed anyway, payed and left, got home an hour later and unwrapped the ornament only to find the price label which was the exact same price as the sale price. Reading the comments below I now realise what we signed, they are absolute thieves and Im so happy I came across the reviews too as we were planning on buying a few thousand pounds worth of furniture for our new house...

SCAMMERS!!! I purchased a lamp at £129 and was told it would need to be ordered in to store. I was asked to pay for it, sign to say payment had been made and that was that. A week and a half later I received a call to say the lamp was ready to collect. Once I got it home I realised the lampshade was faulty, there is a big line through the lampshade. My husband returned it to be told he could not have a refund and only store credit or an exchange. We were offered a new shade but as I had already waited a week and a half I did not want this, I needed a lamp now. There is no documents in the shop that state no refunds and I was never told this before purchasing. Lady explained it was in the terms and conditions I signed, I was never told it was terms and conditions and apparently the part that says no refunds is on the back, which I was never notified too. Two and a half weeks later after paying for the lamp, I have no lamp, no refund or anything. This is completely unacceptable, people should be made aware before paying for goods that no refunds are given.

Worst customer service I have ever had to endure. Ordered sofa June/July 2021. 1st one was received on time however had extensive water damage. Delivery date of replacement sofa was changed around 3/4 times and eventually arrived 10 weeks later than quoted (around 14 months of original purchase date) When this arrived it was also severely damaged. There is no communication from customer services to advise of delay or to apologise. Constantly had to chase them up. As we didn’t want to wait another 4 - 6 months for yet another replacement we requested a refund. The response to this was an extremely blunt unapologetic email from Carly at customer services stating we would not be getting a refund. So now awaiting another replacement sofa to arrive, with an eta of January….. 18 months from original date of purchase. The £50 store voucher we have been offered as compensation is laughable. Avoid at all costs, non existent Customer service and over priced furniture that arrives from China in sub standard condition.

We visited the clearance shop in Air today Spoke to Robert who couldn't be nicer Found the lamps I loved and has ordered them, so i could collect in a branch nearer to me Very professional and knowledgeable Regarding the stock ... An accet to the company Looking forward to picking up my new lanps soon Thanks Robert

PLEAE AVOID USING THIS COMPANY ! We purchased sofas from Designer Rooms Prestwick. Within 3 days of having the items, arms became loose and the sofas creaked and squeaked due to the movement in them. 2 lots of Technicians later and we are still stuck with the same issue. Customer Services is not existent and they are not willing to replace or refund for the goods. We are Pursuing a Section 75 claim through our credit card company as Designer Rooms are refusing to assist us with the issue. Disgraceful treatment from a company who charge an over inflated price!

DO NOT BUY FROM DESIGNER ROOMS - CROOKS!!! They will be all smiles taking your money but when they can’t actually deliver the furniture and can’t give you a date they will refuse to refund you quoting their non refundable policy. I wish I had read the reviews before I made a purchase. So I am out of pocket with no furniture after 3 months and no sign of it arriving any time soon.

Visited the Braehead store where James advised us regarding the items were were looking at. He was very professional and enquired into delivery timescales for us before giving us an estimated cost before we made a final decision. On returning Leighanne dealt with us as James was not available - she was very professional in her approach and ensured all questions were answered. Both members of staff gave excellent customer service and I can not praise them enough.

Ladies in the Kilmarnock showroom were very helpful, especially Lesley who sorted out a small problem we had promptly. She and Shelley were very pleasant and we love our new furniture.

Purchased a concrete bench and table set with gas fire insert £2000 last year. Hardly used and enquired when paint started coming away from one of the benches and is getting worse. Sent picture and was told that there was nothing they could do END OFF . Really disappointed with there lack of customer service in fact no customer service at all. Would have been happy if it was repaired as this is obviously of poor quality from their suppliers and would have hoped for them to forward on my complaint to the manufacturer. Obviously they don’t care about customer service as long as they get their money and wash their hands of you . Think hard before you part with your hard earned cash with this company strongly advise you don’t.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Designer Rooms, three piece Suite, they take your money, promise you a delivery date, and don't deliver. Give you another date and don't deliver, again and again. Goods delivered faulty? ( 5 faults)Two weeks later a “Technician” calls to inspect the multiple faults, Designer Rooms said 6 weeks to get “Spare Parts”, failed and given another date, failed and given yet another date. In 40 weeks no customer care calls from store with customer having to do all the chasing. Asked them to cancel and refund and they said they had the right to try and fix the Suite. 40 weeks later and it looks like I have bought a repaired Suite and not a New one in perfect working order??? Now in the hands of Trading Standards and if that doesn't work then thankfully I paid by MasterCard so they will be next, and failing that my Solicitor. DO NOT GO THERE!, YOU WILL BE SORRY.!

I bought furniture from the Designer Rooms in Silverburn I was served by Christine I couldn’t have asked for a nicer or more helpful person Christine couldn’t have done enough for us So happy with my furniture and would definitely buy from here again

I was served by Lee who gave me excellent service & was not pushy . I bought the Detroit extending table and chairs in grey . And because if the service I received from maker I am considering the sideboard coffee table and side tables . I was also interested in the Hannah sofa and she supplied me with all info and will be considering this also . Being retail area manager I am also observing customer service and she definitely comes up tops

I will never step foot in this shop again. I advise anyone going to order from here to rethink again, I spent nearly 4 grand in this shop and got told and had it in writing that they my sofa and table and chairs would be delivered in 12 weeks, 12 weeks came heard no word from them so I contacted them for the first time and they turned round and told me it was going to be another 4 months wait therefore I asked for a refund they said their terms and conditions is a no refund no cancellation policy in their terms and conditions even though they have breached their contractual agreement under the Scottish Common laws of the 12 weeks agreement. Now I am having to dispute this through my bank to get my money back as I'm not waiting half a year on a sofa and table and chairs. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

the lady that called to say my furniture has been delayed due to a broken down van was SO rude, she put the phone down on me through mid conversation! so rude she shouldnt be calling customers!

I was buying a rug to go with my new decor and was really unsure of which one to buy. Christine the lady who works there was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional and made my purchase decision so much easier and assured me that when my knew suite arrives if my rug does not work I can have a credit note or exchange which was very good to know and encouraged me to buy. Thank you Christine for all your help on Wed 1st June.
