I left my Pulsar to be serviced. When I handed it in it had a glass and all three hands. I had used some tape to keep the back in place. When it was returned the glass was missing and the second hand also missing. The man said the glass was missing when I handed it in - it wasn't. Also they made an error regarding the refund. I was accused of stealing, threatened with police action and debt collectors unless I handed back excess amount. At no time did the staff go through the error. I was also accused of 'running out of the shopping centre' to avoid returning this money. Sorry to say I am disabled and a blue badge holder with extensive spinal surgery - I am incapable of running. So I went from having a watch that could have been repaired to one that is now ruined and have been accused of theft. A total disgrace.

Bristol Cribbs Causeway- Arrogant staff, had a battery fitted just over a year ago, watch stopped working, thought it was a bad battery, took it elsewhere to be replaced & was told the battery was OK but the battery casing had been damaged, even though I already had an idea what their response would be I took it back to Watch Lab & was told my watch would have been working when it left them & the person who just looked at it could have damaged it (highly unlikely) said they would have another look, but as they were already being defensive I didn't hold much hope of them admitting to the damage , I left & took my watch with me. Dreadful service.

Awful. Claimed they could change the battery on Luminox. Returned and worked for a while before intermittently stopping. I thought it was just a bad battery and left it. Later found out they had lost/broken the battery retaining clip in the movement. Absolute disaster and cost a lot to have done properly with main dealer. Never ever again.

I used Watch Lab when they had the shop in the town centre but was sad when it moved. But now that they are still in Preston, I'm happy to be back with them (and don't have to pay for parking too :-)) So my watch was not working properly and it had a new battery a few months ago and after ringing a few places and either didn't fix mens watches or didn't recognise the brand, I found Watch Lab again. I took 2 watches to Jim who looked after me, 1 needed a new battery (ladies watch) and mine that had a gremlin in it. So I was there on a Monday morning and dropped them off, later that day Jim rang to say the ladies watch was ready for collection and the other didn't work on the first fix so looked at needing a service and I paid for this over the phone and advised it was about 6-8weeks which I was happy with. On the 6th Nov I got a call from Jim to say the other watch was ready for collection and today (8th Nov) I collected a fully working watch. Glad to have it back and not use to walking around without a watch on. I'd recommend Watch Lad to anyone and for their great service.

I popped into the watch lab in Kingston upon Thames since my watch had stopped working after I dropped it on a hard service. The man I dealt with suggested the battery had probably just dropped out. He asked permission to remove the back and then found he was right. He closed it up and set watch to correct time. He would not take payment so I popped into WHSmith and got him a small bag of 'Heroes'. Thank you.

My wife's cherished Ladies Rado Ceramic Jubilee having just passed its 25 years suddenly failed and the replacing of the battery was not the solution. We made a trip to the Watch Lab at Leeds, knowing they could handle Rado and Ollie Pearson efficiently did an investigation of the watch and its condition, giving us a report and a cost to service and repair. with 12 months warranty The estimated time stated was about to 10 to 12 weeks but could be less, so left it on the 18 September 17 for the workto be done On Saturday the 28 October 17 Leeds called us to say the watch was available for pick up and this we did on the 2 nd Nov. Having taken just less than 6 weeks. It was polished and looked new and had a new Gold Rado bracelet securing clasp fitted FOC.The repair had taken just over 5 weeks Ollie was very helpful and my wife delighted that her cherished Rad is back on her wrist after 6 weeks separation in her ownership of 25 years Well Done the Watch Lab Jeff Denton

I gave two watches to get the batteries replaced, each costing £95. When I came to change the time after the clocks changed last weekend, I noticed the crown was very wobbly and the hands were not moving properly. After trying to set the time the crown fell off. I went back to the Brent Cross Branch to explain what had happened and that it had been the first time I was using the watch since the battery was replaced. The man I showed it started to look at it but the branch manager interrupted by shouting at me "we don't give back damaged watches - so it can't have been us". I tried to explain what had happened but I was even given a chance to speak all they kept saying was "we are a watch repair company, we don't break watches'. They then said I would be charged another £95 for the repair. I then was told to contact the head office who also repeated the same mantra in accusing tones not even hearing me out. I am totally appalled by this treatment and would strongly advise others to stay away.

I took my Omega watch into Watch Lab York to have a longer strap fitted.Four weeks later I went across York with great difficulty(I am registered disabled) to collect the watch and a new strap had been fitted ,the same size as the original. I left the watch to be returned to Omega to have a longer strap fitted as requested originally. I rang watch lab 2weeks later to enquire about progress and was told Omega did not supply a longer strap but that watch lab could punch another hole in the strap. The manager was most unpleasant and said if raised my voice the call would be terminated. In have a hearing problem I am nearly 80 years old ,I do tend to speak rather loudly. What a way to treat a customer. A nasty experience!!!

I have never had such bad and disrepectful service. I put my Father's 21st birthday present (a Tudor rare limited edition) that was left to me when my father passed away, to Watch Lab on 6th June this year. I was told that it would be no longer than 12 weeks for repairs. It is now 20 weeks and still not returned. When I called Jo (Bromley Branch) on the 9th October, he responded to me in a very rude manner saying " why are you so worried about getting it back?". He knew this was my late father's watch. I am upset by the lack of understanding shown on how important this watch is to me from a sentimental point of view and it is so long past the latest date it should have been returned. I have had no call back or communication since the date I expressed my concerns and sadness. This is awful and distressing... Be careful using this service.

Was quoted £140 to have my watch repaired. I took my watch to Timpsons who told me that this make of watch could not be repaired but that it required a complete new movement at a total cost of £62o

Really poor. My oris divers watch needed a new crown and spindle so they took it in assuring me they would be quicker than through a jeweller... assured me it needed a service too and charged £490 and back in 8-10 weeks. 10 weeks on they can't even tell me what stage it is at. They also said it would be sent to Oris when in fact it is their own workshop. Untrustworthy and I believe a jeweller would have been a quicker option. I'm still waiting

I have a Mondaine Official Swiss Railway Watch that is now approximately 12years old and on each of the occasions that I have needed to have the battery and/or strap replaced, checked over and cleaned etc, I have always entrusted The WATCH Lab in Eastgate Street, Chester with carrying out the work. Without exception, I have found the staff to be courteous, helpful and knowledgeable, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

They damaged my watch and told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. Disgraceful customer service. I took my Arne Jacobsen watch into the Bristol Cribs Causeway branch for a routine battery replacement. The watch was inspected and signed in for replacement battery but would need to be sent off for the work to be carried out. A few days later I received a call saying the mechanisms would need to be serviced too at additional cost, feeling a little backed into a corner i had to agree to the extra work being done. A few weeks later i revived the call to say my watch was ready for collection. This is when the service really went down hill. I went into the branch to collect my watch and noticed the face of the watch was cracked around the centre of the dial hands. Immediately bringing this to the attention of the manager in store. I left the watch with the manager to follow up with the workshop to try and find out what had happened. The workshop had said it was already like that, I then took this up with the manager in branch (as I knew it wasn't already cracked) and we agreed it definitely wasn't recorded on the initial watch inspection. At that point I refused to take possession of the watch untill the manager came back to me with a solution. To which he did, take the watch back in your possession (free of charge, admission of guilt if ever i've seen one) and take it up with head office. Jonathan in the head office was argumentative and totally inconstant with why they couldn't offer a solution to repair my watch, with excuses from "there aren't replacement parts for that make of watch, it's been too long now, we've done your battery for free" Long and short of it is that I took my watch into be repaired, they inspected it, sent it off for the work. It came back damaged, I argued as much as I could and then was told there was nothing they could do for me other than waive the fee for the battery and service. I am absolutely disgusted that a company of this size has (A) Damaged my property under thier "professional" care and (B) totally disregarded any responsibilty of doing it even though they had a stringent inspection sign in process. If you care about your watch i would not take it here to the watch lab.

Looking for a battery replacement for my Longines classic. Two Jewllery shops (Berrys and another) recommended The Watch Lab Trinity Arcade Leeds. Checked the watch in and Greg provided detailed advice on process and reassurances that a good job would be done. I returned 1 hour later to collect and all good. Just dug out an Michel Heilbien old watch to drop in - I look forward to seeing whether they can get it going again.

Coney Street, York branch. Basically a case of good salesmen fronting a very poor, inefficient and very expensive service. The 1-star rating is purely to recognise the good sales ability. I'm sure they are great for adjusting bracelets and changing batteries in cheap watches, but if you have a half decent watch, do yourself a favour and take it to a reputable jeweller . I have two Oris Big Crown watches. One needed the glass replacing and Watch Lab said it would need a full overhaul, would take 5 weeks and cost £420 ( and that was with the manager's "special discount"). I paid up front but so far the watch has been with them for 2 months and they now say it will be another month. I took my other Oris to Bradley's Jewellers in York...it needed more extensive repairs and a full overhaul but cost £100 less and done in 3 weeks. Use the Watch Lab for your cheap fashion watches that they can mess about with in the store....walk straight past if you have a decent watch that needs to go to a craftsman or the manufacturer.

I have been to the watch lab on three occasions now to have my watch strap adjusted on three separate watches. Each time I have been the job has been completed quickly, and they are always happy to help when I need to have further adjustments made. Friendly, professional service.

Laughable really. They claim to provide a repair service for Omega watches, so I took my Seamaster for a simple bracelet pin replacement. I was told the watch would have to be sent to Leeds for repair and take 4 to 6 weeks.
