“Good service, which would have been 5 Star if the supplier (Certas Energy) had included the delivery details written in my order request to The Heating Oil Club (THOC) to the delivery driver. It was not a major problem, but the delivery arrived without prior notification several days before the suggested delivery date at approximately 08.30 on a workday morning, partially blocking access within the small housing development we live in. This was not ideal as neighbours sought to head out to work, school and nursery run etc. This was soon sorted with some vehicle marhalling and the driver was very accommodating. He advised me that the biggest issue in his job is the lack of information he receives from his despatch about customer-specific instructions, he told me that Certas had recently surveyed their drivers, who all said the same thing. He then showed me the delivery instruction note he had received for my delivery, explaining that Certas has a small letter characters limit for the delivery details provided to the driver, the result of this being that about two-thirds of what I had written in my delivery instructions to THOC, were not included on the driver's delivery note. The Driver said this was the bane of his and his colleagues' jobs, which he clearly enjoyed doing, as he had been happily delivering oil in this area of Norfolk for over 25 years. Hence this is not a criticism of either THOC or Certas, just an observation that the delivery instructions written on an order to THOC should be repeated exactly on the delivery instructions provided to the delivery driver. This may require coordination between THOC and your Heating Oil suppliers in respect of letter character count. Sort that out and you will certainly provide a 5-Star service.”

Almost always, THOC price is better than those of comparison sites such as Boilerjuice. My most recent order turned up only a couple of days after i ordered it and i was expecting to wait a couple of weeks. All in all very good service.”
