“Better than the ELDC scheme which imposed a 2p/L surcharge to pay for it with the same price for all buyers. This wrecked it at the current low oil price for the 2000L buyer and turned it into a scheme for 500L buyers.”

“This ‘heating oil club’ works well for me. Orders and deliveries are efficient and timing schedules kept. I have been asked to create a hole in my front hedge, this is my preferred delivery point. I will do something but the hedge isn’t that dense so their fuel pipe could be passed through.”

“Further update. A polite apology due to errors on their part. If they are cheapest next time I'll use them. Rating up to four stars accordingly. Update. I've had a (no-reply) response arguing the toss about suppliers and addresses. As I have the docket with the wrong address on it, and the only reason the delivery got to me was because the driver phoned and I directed him to our address I think an apology is in order. I don't care if the cartel of oil suppliers are all part of the same company, if I am advised a certain supplier has accepted my order, I expect delivery from them. Unfortunately this means the rating is now downgraded. Original review. Good price at the time, BUT the people I was informed were going to deliver it (Butler) did not, and the people who did deliver (Certas) it had the house name correct, everything else was wrong. I suggest you sharpen up your act and systems to 1) don't mess about with suppliers and 2) get the address right (as on my membership details)”

Hello peter, thank you for responding to our survey request. Just a few points of order. Firstly, Butlers are a part of the Certas Group and have been for many years. The text message that you received on the day before delivery was from Certas. Secondly, the address details used by the supplier were provided by yourself as entered into your membership when joining, they are not changed by either us or our suppliers. This was the first time that you'd ordered via ourselves and consequently there was no room for error on this point. The delivery was made on time and to the correct address so it is difficult to understand why you were so dissatisfied?

“Excellent website and the price quote process is quick and easy. Ordering is also straight-forward. Prices vary - sometimes very competitive, sometimes less so. I was disapointed by the supplier this month; I queried the quantity delivered as although the ticket said 1000 delivered, dipping the tank before & after suggested a much smaller quantity. I was told a manager would call me back to discuss, but that never happened.”

“My problem wasn't sorted out via email. You need a tel number and someone to answer it. I didn't know if my order had been accepted or not so got oil from another company. Then yours turned up unexpectedly at 7am 2 weeks later & I had to tell him tank was already full. Otherwise club excellent!.”
