“I had originally bought the Creality k1 printer and at first it was great. Came with everything it was meant to come with. And it was cheaper than most sites so I thought why not. However, I had a feeling they might send an older version of the printer due to the price. So after a few days I started to have problems with it. I emailed customer service and they were very good, however it was explained to me that I was sent an older version and that they could send me the new parts or send it back and they could fit the parts however I wanted a refund because you’d expect to get the newest version for £500. Overall, customer service was good but make sure if you buy from them to email before to make sure they send a new printer or whatever you’re buying.”

“Returning to use a discount voucher and needing some 3D printer filament I ended up calling to find out why the discount code from my previous purchase wasn't working. The issue I was told was the code has a 0 not an O in it... but that wasn't the case, the filament had a buy 3 get a discount, but I was buying fewer in that brand, and the inactive multibuy overrode any other discount so i still couldn't use the voucher. Ended up spending more than I had hoped to get a decent deal.”

“They supplied the product in the end, with one main problem. Their delivery company turned up on a Sunday, for a weekday delivery, didn't ring the buzzer, sent a picture of the back door and claimed the package was refused. The company waited until it was returned to them before sending another so it was a week late and I gave delivery instructions to actually come to my flat door. Not their fault entirely but they choose who does the delivery”

“A reasonable response to some very disappointing filament earns a "reasonable" rating. The filament is very fragile - and breaks at any opportunity - or none. I have the reel on good bearings, set directly above the print head. It tends to stay intact during a print but will snap if left idle overnight. I'll not be buying any more of this filament, I am afraid.”

“It would be helpful if you could put the out of stock notice on the colour selection section of PLA filament instead of having to select each colour individually only to find it’s not available.”

“Given a 3 due to service, the filament I received is good quality & the delivery time was fantastic but when it arrived there had been a picking error and they’d sent one of the wrong colour, so I emailed to tell them and they told me to take a £5 refund and keep the filament or send it back and have to wait at least 2 weeks for a replacement”

“The product quality and price are excellent. If I were rating the overall service on these things alone, I would be selecting "Very Good". However, as the choice of Courier service is a major part of the whole purchasing process, I can only just rate the Technology Outlet as "Acceptable". My item was "At our local depot", for 2 days! The only purpose for delaying is to differentiate and justify the increased cost of next day delivery. I also have to say that, it also seemed to take a very long time for the item to be handed to the courier. I must reiterate, this should not take a way the fact that the product is good and a good price. Tighten up your system and/or get a different courier!”

“I ordered a Borosilicate glass build plate for ender 3, the image shows a plain clear version and I recieved the creality black coated version, this is not what is shown in image, as I ordered this specifically as I did not want a coated version.”

“Items arrived next day, Although the quality of the material has gone down. The carbon filled PLA seems to act more like ABS causing shrinking and curling of larger items.”

“Good products, shipping costs are high and slow for smaller items that could use standard post instead of couriers.”

Hi Mark, Thank you for your feedback regarding delivery costs. We have taken this on board, along with similar feedback, and are talking to the Royal Mail to find cost-effective ways we can deliver smaller items for cheaper (or free!). Kind regards, Tim

“There is two parts to this story. First part - very helpful. Package sent directly from them arrived next day, before midday. perfect. Second part - they don't always send stock that is "in stock" directly from them. It can come from other places, like amazon. Unfortunately, they didn't communicate this so we only received one box on the monday morning. We thought the printer had gone missing so had to chase. Turns out it was being sent by Amazon and Hermes. Hermes are notorious for random delivery times. 5.50 one night. 7.50 the next night. Of course, not much use for a business/school. The package was finally delivered two days later than planned. Communication was key in all of this. Don't advertise products are being sent by a quality courier, when they are coming from Hermes/Yodel etc. Anyway, items finally received and a resolution in the form of discounted future orders.”

Hi Joanne, Thank you for your feedback, and we're glad we could come to a resolution you were happy with. We do store stock at Amazon's fulfilment centre as well as our warehouse. While it is rare that we sell out from our in-house warehouse, and in these exceptional cases we send from Amazons warehouse.
