HiFor best results we recommend stamping on care labels. On other fabric please ensure you are stamping on smooth flat fabric (not socks, fleece or polo shirt material).Please do not use stain remover or bleach in your laundry as this can strip the ink off.best wishesFrancesca

The ink will withhold 50 wahes on care labels without fading. We don't guarantee it works on plastic or any fabric other than care labels. It might work on fabric and plastic but it depends on the type and we can't guarantee.
I can see that you haven't contacted us for a refund so hope you are enjoying using the product and it's working on care labels.,

We had an independent laboratory carry out a colour fastness test designed to assess the extent to which the colour of the ink fades on textiles. The test method used is BS EN ISO 105-C06:2010 using the 40°C multiple wash cycle option. The ink passed the test up to 50 washes on most fabrics so I am surprised and disappointed to hear that it's faded in your case.
If you could kindly send me some photos of some stamped items then I can try and investigate this for you.
Do you use any stain remover in your wash?
In regards to our customer service I wonder if you could please let us know how we could improve? We pride ourselves on our high level of customer service so any feedback you could please give us would be most helpful.

We work really hard on our customer service and pride ourselves in this and so are really disappointed that you think our advert is misleading.
You should have received a pop up when you placed your order to remind you to add an ink pad.
We are having a new website built and I will suggest that the pop up is clearer, so thanks for pointing this out.
I understand that you feel that our product is expensive but the ink pad lasts 2-3 years (sometimes longer) and provides over 2000 impressions. So cost per stamp is 1p which many of our customers think is a reasonable cost and even cheaper than labels :)
I have offered a full refund but yet to hear back from you.

Please could I ask you to send a photo of any stamped items so that I can investigate for you and sort out as soon as possible. The ink has been independently tested by a laboratory and should last up to 50 washed on most fabrics (not wool or anything teflon coated).
Please could you let me know how you think we could improve our service. We pride ourselves on our customer service so any feedback would be much appreciated. Were you disappointed with something in particular eg delivery, etc?

“Stanp has rubbed off a water bottle and is already fading off socks after just two washes. Don't like the way some of the edges of the stamp gets ink on it and other bits don't - either have a border round the name or not. No holder provided to store and inky stamp either.”

I'm afraid we can't guarantee that the ink lasts on plastic as different plastic manufacturers use different coatings. It really is hit and miss with plastic and we are very open and honest about that. It's on our FAQ's too. We do have many customers who use the ink on water bottles but I'm really sorry it didn't work in your case.

There will always be fading in the first few washes but if you wish to bear with us then I think you will find that the name is still there after 50 washes. Unfortunately the ink doesn't work well on wool (are the socks you stamped wool?) or socks because of the weave of the material. Have you stamped any other items of school uniform?
I'm afraid we don't provide a storage option as it would increase the packaging and postage costs which we would then have to pass on to the customer. Many customers just pop theirs in their kitchen drawer or indeed in the envelope it was supplied in. This is the first time someone has commented on this so I will definitely mention this to my colleague and see if there is anything we can do in future.
OK, so the socks, I really can't explain why one looks so much better than the other. In fact I am surprised the one sock looks that good because typically socks are very difficult to stamp because of the stretchy weave of the material.
I'm not sure why the stamps are showing a border, this certainly shouldn't happen. Not sure if it is because you are stamping on an uneven surface or slightly rolling when you stamp. Anyhow, I have arranged to have another one sent to you and hopefully that one won't give you the border. Do please let me know how you get on with it.

However it is fading out of my boys uniform already and I didn't want to have to stamp again as would not look right with faded name in the background very hard to align, I don't feel happy to recommend this product.”

I'm afraid we can't guarantee it will work on plastic due to the different types of coatings plastic manufacturers use, and unfortunately it is tricky to stamp a smooth/shiny surface because if your hands slip the ink will smudge.
I'm sorry the name was too big for the label. We have offered to make another one up for you with a smaller font size. It's obviously tricky to get the size exact as lots of labels are different sizes but we don't normally experience problems with the names not fitting.
The ink pad provides over 2000 impressions and will last at least 2-3 years so should work out cheaper than labels/stickers.
We have offered a full refund but you mentioned that this wasn't necessary and you would like to keep hold of your stamp set and I'm delighted that you think that our service was fine and smooth running.

I'm sorry that you the think the product is poor. We have had the ink independently tested by a laboratory so I am disappointed to hear that the ink has noticeably faded after 5 washes. We have sold over 10,000 ink pads and have not received any issues with the ink fading on fabric.
In my most recent email to you I have requested photos of the stamped items. As soon as I receive the photos we can investigate further.

We are sorry you feel the quality of the product is poor, long names don't usually present a problem. The ink shouldn't smudge if left to dry for a few seconds. I wonder if you could please let me know if the ink is smudging on all surfaces or just one? Any photos you have would be great so I can establish what is happening.

“My order arrived with a torn foil bag for the inkpad, which looked as it had just been caught while going through the post. I asked for a replacement and was told there were no spares and suggested I use a ziplock sandwich bag instead, as that is what they do when they lose theirs. I replied that I didn't have a ziplock sandwich bag and expressed my disappointment given the emphasis placed on the foil bag in stopping the inkpad from drying out on the website video. I was then asked to post the inkpad and foil bag back so they could speak to their manufacturing department to show what had happened. Also that they would look in to getting spare foil bags. I didn't hear back again but a replacement did arrive so it was resolved in the end. I just felt the original response was a little blasé and I'd have preferred not to have had to ask for the foil bag more than once, especially given they stress how important it is. Nor did I want to go out and buy a sandwich bag or keep the inkpad in one! The stamps are great as is the inkpad.”
