Not at all happy with the gigs provided compared to what I initially tried on in store. They fit so different and appear to be over hanging each side. Not to mention being charged an extra £40 for the glare.

I visited Specsavers at Mayfair Mall about 3 weeks ago. Dr. Ahmad and his staff were friendly and professional, and they were very helpful in getting me started toward my much needed cataract surgery. I will return to Dr. Ahmad for exams, etc, after the surgery and am thankful he recognized my need and put the referral in motion immediately. Much obliged.

What a joke !!! Specsaver’s West Bromwich . My contact lens were cancelled and my direct debit was after 20 odd years with them for no reason given only it was a glitch in our system they said to reinstate my direct debits they want to charge me more for my monthly fees I did eventually get my lens come in the post without solutions ??? Not impressed !!

I went to Specsavers Nuneaton to see if my glasses would be ready for today . The nice lad said yes , there here just need putting together.so they will be ready tomorrow. I've then had a text message saying your glasses arnt here yet so they will let me know. I know this is a lie. So I've gone down there today and asked them to explain the text. Then he said that the lenses are damaged and they are waiting new one s again. So now I still have no glasses which I desperately need. And they don't know what day I can get them now . So great thanks Specsavers. Not impressed 😡

Booked an appointment with the Hexham branch over the telephone to trial contact lenses and informed they would use my eye test from 22 months previously. I queried if I would in fact firstly need an up to date one, to be asked was my eye sight still the same. I replied I wouldn’t know as I’m not an optician! Attended the first appointment to discuss lens’ and suitable ones were ordered. Visited the store again to collect the lens packs and be instructed how to put them in/remove them. I did struggle but was told this was common and would get easier the more times I used them. After the second use I found the prescription not correct (remember I did ask if an up to date test was needed!). I contacted the store to be told I needed an eye test!! I’m now onto visit number 3! Eye test complete and indeed I did need a different prescription. New contact lens’ ordered. Visit number 4 yesterday to collect said lens’ resulted in yet again an appointment with a different optician. He told me to put in the lens’, which I managed with the right eye but struggled with the left. However I expected this as it was only my third time using them. Suddenly he announced they should be removed and an appointment made for a contact lens lesson! On checking he discovered there was no one available to show me and I must make an appointment. I would have assumed when the appointment was made to collect the contact lens then they would have ensured a qualified member of staff was on hand to deal with any issues. I’m now not prepared to deal with Specsavers any longer, their incompetence is no longer tolerable.

I ordered a new pair of glasses on 19/02/2024 i received them on 06/04/2024. Nearly 7 weeks. When I received them by post they need adjustment so I went back to the store to get them fixed. Now they don’t fit in the case. Will not be using your store again. Brought them in Calcot store

I worked there, most unethical company I have ever worked for, all staff are apprentices and pre-reg optometrists, dispensing opticians are treated awful, they have to fix all the mistakes from the poorly trained staff, and they are expected to train them with no extra money, apart from optometrists the wages are horrendous, slave labour, poor quality, no service, clinical negligence, whole company should be shut down. To call out the evil directors, do not go to brighton specsavers, lateef Iqbal and one from up north suraj shah, you should be ashamed of your positions. Specsavers should be ashamed for hiring you!

Absolutely disappointed with the service at this establishment. I ordered a glass piece three weeks ago, with the promise of delivery within two weeks. However, it's been almost three weeks now, and I'm still waiting. Every time I call to inquire about my order, I'm assured it will be delivered that day, only to be left waiting again. What's worse is the lack of transparency and accountability from the staff. When I spoke to the owner, they assured me of compensation for the delay and promised to expedite the process within four days. However, when I followed up with a customer representative, they conveniently claimed the owner was out of state and couldn't confirm anything. It's evident they're playing games with their customers, making false promises and dodging accountability. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I urge others to reconsider doing business with this establishment until they can demonstrate a commitment to honesty and reliable service

Went to Wakefield waited 20 minutes for my appt eye check. Optician great but then left standing there to pay, buy eyebrows and get measured for first glasses, so in the end I bought glasses from somewhere else

I attended the Bridgnorth branch for an eye test on 8th Feb 2024 and the service and professionalism was first class. I have since had to request additional correspondence and the response of the staff was yet again FIRST CLASS! Highly recommended

The Optometrist at one of the Newport, Gwent stores misdiagnosed a macular hole and completely missed a tumour in the other eye and he was a so-called expert with OCT imaging.

Failed to spot a melanoma in one eye. Thought they were supposed to be experts in the use of OCT. Avoid!

Hi, My girlfriend booked a home visitation eye sight appointment, as she has really poor eye sight and struggles to see things (even at close range) and ends up constantly squinting, thereby wrinkling her skin and causing pain in the surrounding areas. Specsavers had confirmed about a 2 weeks prior the time and date of the appointment. All going well, my girlfriend proceeded to get an early nights rest for the appointment set for the early afternoon the following day. She woke up early, as she is diagnosed with anxiety, agoraphobia and depression, and likes to be prepared for anxiety ridden events. Like interacting with new people and people in general. The appointment was set for 12pm-3pm, and we waited for that whole interim. I also had to book time off of work to stay with her for the appointment due to her agoraphobia, anxiety and difficulty interacting with people. Long story short, they didn't show up at all in the end and only cancelled the appointment after 3pm, which was after the range of times they had said that they would arrive within. The said opticians had full knowledge of my girlfriends conditions and without regard have cancelled an appointment. She is having increasing stomach pains, currently, due to stress and anxiety and doesn't know when she will be able to book again. To be completely honest, I would give this a 0 rating if I could, but there's only space for a 1 star review. But I am not very happy with Specsavers service and as the supposed foremost optician in the UK, I expect a hell of a lot more!

I applied for an entry-level position in NI, boasting strong qualifications and supposedly requiring no visual experience. However, the following day, I received an email stating I wasn't selected for the next stage, with no explanation provided. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction and decision not to apply for any future positions at Specsavers, I later received a call informing me that I had progressed to the second stage of the application process. Despite this, I declined to continue, as the recruitment process seemed unprofessional. I felt unfairly treated, lacking equal opportunities."

Spec Savers: Creating Brand Awareness for All the Wrong Reasons I purchased a pair of glasses 6 months ago (Mar 2023) from Spec Savers in Musgrave Durban and recently received a call stating that claiming that I am owing funds to them which I informed them is incorrect. I then pointed out to Roshina Singh the finance lady that all payments were made, she then claimed that this could have been a communication error on their side and resulted in me being informed that no funds were owing. She then offered that I only pay 50% of the amount that they were claiming in order to make this go away. This is not the sort of unethical behavior one would expect to receive as a customer. Why must a customer be held liable Spec Savers incompetencies?

I worked there! Everything these customers say is true! They only want your money, they do not train their staff, there is clear clinical negligence happening and staff are paid absolutely peanuts. Do not use this company
