I am diabetic and have been having pain behind the eyes and wanted an eye test . I am entitled to a yearly eye test free (I’m over 69) I booked a test with no problem but on the day I was told that if my prescription hasn’t changed I would be charged. The manager told me it would down to the optician if I should have a test using my 13 month old test as a reference whether I would need another test (I’ve heard nothing ). I know doesn’t make sense does it ? . If the optician hasn’t seen me how would he know . I felt quite humiliated in front of waiting customers and while I could well afford it I opted to walk . I said thank you and left. On reflection I felt a little cheated as I have gone no where else for over ten years and have spent a lot of money with them . They have always had a problem with the lenses fitting into the frames on my past new spectacles and even after correction they never get it right . I persevered with what I was given . The two pairs I have now have lenses that are not seated correctly. Enough .

Ordered the red glasses , I went to collect my glasses , they are different told me they are the same glasses , they are a different colour , they are giving false advertising, went back up again they said the same thing , they are not the same as you will see in the photo.

Just visited the Arbroath store to purchase contact lenses. I was met with a female member of staff (not too friendly & quite animated) who advised I’ll need to check your details to see if they have expired. “How long do I have until my test has expired” staff replied 12 months. Records show I was tested September 2023 and then advised I had a lense trial & this has not been finalised. I was then informed that I was unable to purchase or trial further lenses until I book another eye test & then place an order for the trial / new lenses (although my previous test had not expired) I then asked for a copy of my prescription because I heard enough excuses but was then told they can’t provide me with that because it’s incomplete. Was does my prescription have to do with a contact lenses trial??!! My family nor I will never return to Specsavers, Arbroath. Rude & very unhelpful

Been going to Specsavers since in my teen and was happy until lately .They move all the old staff to other branches .Now you have new staff that hardly know what the other one is doing .No messages or information left for other staff to check collection , or telephone conversation with customers for collections. Politeness is no longer in specsavers a few will say good morning. I was asked to try my glasses that i came to collect standing at the desk . When i asked where is the mirror we don't have one .I then advised the staff that they have cubical that you sit to try glasses on so he can see if it needed adjustment or fits fine. He then realise what i was saying so he then find a desk although their were about four empty desk available.Bring back some of the old staff to show these staff how it should be done. The eye test by the opticians i cant say a bad word they are good at there jobs. But staff need lot more training. When i leave that day i start thinking should i change. Phidd

Had an appointment at the Livingston branch to pick up varifocal sunglasses for my holidays was asked to take a seat waited about 5 mins then got called, the particular man who called me did not even speak to me no hello how are you nothing all he said was your here to pick glasses up which I replied yes he went and got them and came back and just thrusted them at me and said put these on look right look left told him they didn't fit right he said take them of and went away and done some to them in a total of three times until he came back and said here try them I said the still didn't sit right and should I not try to see if I can actually see and read with them before he fixes them, absolutely no reply so I picked a leaflet up and had a read and they were ok so he took the glasses back but still not right so rather than subject then to heat to bend he must have got fed up getting up to do it so tried to just bend the legs without using heat. The still aren't quite right but to be honest I just wanted to get out the shop and away from him, he never even said thank you goodbye nothing. I'm afraid my Livingston store is only interested in getting customers through the door and how much they can skin you for, their customer service is absolutely shocking and for that reason I will not be using Specsavers again if I could give them a 0 score I would!!

Tried phoning for two hours to Welshpool branch. No luck. Tried website. Does not give option for my needs. I've had my eye test . all I need is appointment face to face for new glasses. Been trying for days on phone. No point in having expensive T V adverts if you can't even manage to answere the phone. I did try travelling to Welshpool only to be told they hadn't got any appointments. And phone next week. What is going on. Get a grip. 🤫

I don't know how to put this politely A text from the Deal Specsavers saying You have an appointment at 14:20 on the 18th April 24 I turned up for this went through all the normal checking-in procedures and was told to take a seat After about 5 minutes was asked to come to a bay, where I was told it was NOT a face-to-face appointment and I would have to book another one How can they sit down in front of me and tell me so much rubbish, WHY NOT TELL ME THEY HAD OVERBOOKED If I could give less than one star I would

Not at all happy with the gigs provided compared to what I initially tried on in store. They fit so different and appear to be over hanging each side. Not to mention being charged an extra £40 for the glare.

I visited Specsavers at Mayfair Mall about 3 weeks ago. Dr. Ahmad and his staff were friendly and professional, and they were very helpful in getting me started toward my much needed cataract surgery. I will return to Dr. Ahmad for exams, etc, after the surgery and am thankful he recognized my need and put the referral in motion immediately. Much obliged.

I went to Specsavers Nuneaton to see if my glasses would be ready for today . The nice lad said yes , there here just need putting together.so they will be ready tomorrow. I've then had a text message saying your glasses arnt here yet so they will let me know. I know this is a lie. So I've gone down there today and asked them to explain the text. Then he said that the lenses are damaged and they are waiting new one s again. So now I still have no glasses which I desperately need. And they don't know what day I can get them now . So great thanks Specsavers. Not impressed 😡

Booked an appointment with the Hexham branch over the telephone to trial contact lenses and informed they would use my eye test from 22 months previously. I queried if I would in fact firstly need an up to date one, to be asked was my eye sight still the same. I replied I wouldn’t know as I’m not an optician! Attended the first appointment to discuss lens’ and suitable ones were ordered. Visited the store again to collect the lens packs and be instructed how to put them in/remove them. I did struggle but was told this was common and would get easier the more times I used them. After the second use I found the prescription not correct (remember I did ask if an up to date test was needed!). I contacted the store to be told I needed an eye test!! I’m now onto visit number 3! Eye test complete and indeed I did need a different prescription. New contact lens’ ordered. Visit number 4 yesterday to collect said lens’ resulted in yet again an appointment with a different optician. He told me to put in the lens’, which I managed with the right eye but struggled with the left. However I expected this as it was only my third time using them. Suddenly he announced they should be removed and an appointment made for a contact lens lesson! On checking he discovered there was no one available to show me and I must make an appointment. I would have assumed when the appointment was made to collect the contact lens then they would have ensured a qualified member of staff was on hand to deal with any issues. I’m now not prepared to deal with Specsavers any longer, their incompetence is no longer tolerable.

I ordered a new pair of glasses on 19/02/2024 i received them on 06/04/2024. Nearly 7 weeks. When I received them by post they need adjustment so I went back to the store to get them fixed. Now they don’t fit in the case. Will not be using your store again. Brought them in Calcot store

I worked there, most unethical company I have ever worked for, all staff are apprentices and pre-reg optometrists, dispensing opticians are treated awful, they have to fix all the mistakes from the poorly trained staff, and they are expected to train them with no extra money, apart from optometrists the wages are horrendous, slave labour, poor quality, no service, clinical negligence, whole company should be shut down. To call out the evil directors, do not go to brighton specsavers, lateef Iqbal and one from up north suraj shah, you should be ashamed of your positions. Specsavers should be ashamed for hiring you!

Absolutely disappointed with the service at this establishment. I ordered a glass piece three weeks ago, with the promise of delivery within two weeks. However, it's been almost three weeks now, and I'm still waiting. Every time I call to inquire about my order, I'm assured it will be delivered that day, only to be left waiting again. What's worse is the lack of transparency and accountability from the staff. When I spoke to the owner, they assured me of compensation for the delay and promised to expedite the process within four days. However, when I followed up with a customer representative, they conveniently claimed the owner was out of state and couldn't confirm anything. It's evident they're playing games with their customers, making false promises and dodging accountability. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I urge others to reconsider doing business with this establishment until they can demonstrate a commitment to honesty and reliable service

Went to Wakefield waited 20 minutes for my appt eye check. Optician great but then left standing there to pay, buy eyebrows and get measured for first glasses, so in the end I bought glasses from somewhere else

I attended the Bridgnorth branch for an eye test on 8th Feb 2024 and the service and professionalism was first class. I have since had to request additional correspondence and the response of the staff was yet again FIRST CLASS! Highly recommended
