Good service and the product seems ok but the lack of fitting instructions for ceiling mounting is disappointing.

Sorry about that Mark. The instructions should have been in with the blind. I will investigate.
Our skylight blind was east to fit and worked perfectly, however, now we are unable to retract the blind as it appears to have come off the ‘runner’

We bought a tension blind for a small flat skylight. The product is well priced but you get what you pay for. Quality is ok, not great but it works! The pole that you open and close it with is large and clumsy but does the trick.

Blinds are good but the instructions to mount the side profiles are very poor. Plus no fixings and the sticky tape dosent hold it needs to be screwed

Hi there sorry for any misunderstanding but the tape is just meant to hold for 30 seconds or so whilst you are using the screw driver to put in the screws these blinds need screws to stay up not just tape. Thanks Naomi ps I will take a look at the instructions as you said they are difficult to understand and I will make this bit clearer. Sorry about the issue
Installation details consists of very poor drawings. Asking the manufacturer in Ireland for some guidance the reply was nothing to do with us contact Skylights !!! Was going to buy another for my lounge but it will not be through Skylights

Customer service was good but the blind is not great for the price, it doesn’t stay all the way down no matter what we do so there is always an inch of light shining through in the morning which wakes us up in our otherwise darkened bedroom

Good website, product quality average,great after sales assistance that tried hard to rectify recurring fault. Product electrical motor and solar assembly returned as requested for full refund. Postage was to be refunded for returned items alas that never happened I assume it was not intentional.

I had trouble with customer services when returning a faulty blind. I was as refused several times before checking my legal rights regarding online purchases after which I returned the faulty item and they covered they cost of postage. After which, I reordered a blind from them that was not faulty and which fits the window and is of good quality. The blinds are good value as well. However their returns policy needs to be reviewed in line with online purchasing rights in the UK. (these were not made to measure blinds but standard sizes for velux style windows).

A wireless, remotely controlled, insulating DIY blind for a skylight lantern ceiling, seems like a very good idea. This product is well-engineered with good customer service but it arrived with the blind incorrectly fitted into the cassette and a hexagonal drive shaft 2cm too short. This required two separate installation sessions using a tower platform to get it all working correctly. In the summer it shields bright sunlight well for TV viewing, and in winter stops a cold downdraft. On the downside, condensation above can lead to moisture dripping down and staining the blind and mould growing on the lantern itself. Flying insects need to be excluded from the room as when trapped above, their dead bodies are difficult to remove. In summary an ambitious DIY project with some unexpected complications.

The Blind was slightly short in length for my Fakro skylight window. However, managed to pack it out a little and it is fine now

My blind arrived with the wrong length side bars, though they did have a label indicating the correct Velux code. Having notified your staff of the problem the support staff service was very good and after some investigation they agreed replacement side-bars were needed. I was told they would be despatched within 2 days however after some time beyond that target no sign of the despatchment was visible to me and I recontacted the support staff. The replacement was subsequently dispatched soon after and arrived promptly. We are well pleased with the blind now it is installed. Have to say the support staff were very good and the problems were probably to be found elsewhere in your organisation. Only able to give three stars and it was nearly a two. Sure you could do better if the problem areas are found and corrected.

Bought two attic window black out. Blinds. Quality fine but they don’t fully close at the bottom so a line of light comes through. A pity the design could be improved to prevent this.. but price = quality..

We ordered the honey comb lantern roof blind. It's just been installed and looks good, so cannot comment on the long term quality at this stage. The ordering process was easy, and it did arrive as estimated, albeit 6 weeks from ordering. The main issue was that the installation was not easy. I hired a professional handyman and even he struggled. It took him about 6 hrs to install it, and on occasions, he needed mine and my wife's help, so I am amazed that this product can be installed relatively easy by someone with a bit of DIY skills, which is what the sales person told me. Also the different and inconsistent set of instructions did not help. However, my handyman did say that now he has installed one, he should be able to do the next one in less than half the time.

The products are good but unfortunately delivery was far too slow - 3 weeks exactly from time of order. Was looking for a suitable supplier for ongoing projects, however, this delivery service won't be sustainable unfortunately! - Also when trying to contact you for update, there was a message to say office was closed until 12th Aug?

I ordered two blinds, price was good compared to other online retailers, material is good. However one of the blinds seems to have a crease at the edge and does not close right to the end. I have sent an email to the company few days ago but have not received a response. Hopefully they will get back to me.
