“The party was generally weak, the beer was very expensive, the weather was poor. Up to a certain point I was even having fun until woman went to the security guard, saying that I was supposedly following and filming her and that I was stoned (????). That's what raves are about, that people dance, drink and have fun together. If someone is paranoid, sees conspiracies and people with cameras everywhere, they should put down the drugs and stay home.”

“The security at the Hastings festival were shocking yesterday!(25.8.24) We had our water & snacks taken off us on arrival & then weren’t allowed out of the pier to buy food! This would’ve been ok but there were hardly any food stands on the pier! I queued for 40 minutes to buy some chips to be told they run out of them when I got up the stand!! We had VIP tickets & the VIP BAR was BEHIND THE STAGE!! (Worst location for a VIP area I’ve ever known for an event like this!!) The security seemed very poorly managed by “boys under 25!!” Who kept moving us back as we had fold away chairs to sit on. There were many of us who had mobility issues but we’re still told to move as far back as possible if we wanted to sit down on our chairs. It was poorly organised & I won’t be using Skiddle again or buying a VIP ticket as there was no benefit whatsoever to buying it!! 🙄😬”

“Went to lookalike tribute on hastings pier ran out of beer and wine in 3 hours told to sit on floor then half way through not allowed to sit security were a very rude and aggressive bunch will never go again want money back please.”

“Absolute scam, ordered tickets for Pete tong, asked for refund as concert cancelled 1 hour prior to show. No new date organised as said by 25th which had been and gone and they appealed the PayPal request for refund, liars and cheats, avoid at all costs.”

“Poorly organised..when we arrived there was no signage or directions for the concert.. There was barely any of the promised food trucks, 3 in fact, which meant long waits for food in excess of 40mins. Though we were not allowed to bring in our own water there was no drinking water available as promised, so we were unable to fill our water bottles. When it was pointed out that it was a legal requirement to provide drinking water at a festival we were told it was an event not a festival. Strange, as it was called "the look alike festival". The bars were very expensive and they periodically ran out of beer on tap. Overall a very poorly organised festival. We wont be attending another one in a hurry”

“I was at this festival, my son was surrounded by 8 security officers for says sorry my autistic step son swore, he was threatened with being thrown out. We were there as a family of 16 people. I was so upset by the situation that myself and my husband and our friends that had traveled up from Devon felt the need to leave at 17.00. We found the security to be bullies. Myself and my husband and our friends are in our 60s and found it totally disgusting and unacceptable. The bar also run out of beer by 15.30. I would not attend another one of these festivals.”

“So we turned up at the Astoria in Portsmouth for the Idles DJ set and where refused entry because we did not have ID. We are both in our 50s and appreciate it was ot about age but security. We should however have been notified about this at booking stage or on the tickets? We had come a long way for this and where very disappointed to be turned away at the door.”

“I have attended and will be attending tomorrow three events with Skiddle and they have all been a sham. Unfortunately the tickets were booked in advance. Never again because of the following reasons: Boogie by the Sea and Garage by the Sea Hastings: Insensitive security who totally embarrassing two young, respectable girls in front of us. Even sniffer dogs being allowed to sniff up their skirts. I felt like it would have been easier to visit an inmate. Also, took forever to search bags which resulted in very long queues. Exhortinate prices. £6 a can of beer and £29 for a disgusting bottle of wine. Very limited choice. Limited food outlets which again caused very long queues. Poor lighting when leaving the venue which was unsafe. Cutting Boney M down to 4 songs when I had paid to see them. Look a like tribute bands tomorrow Hastings pier. Not answering people's questions regarding food, chairs etc. Changing the line up from what was originally posted. Half the bands I do not now want to see. Refusal to post line up times until they get you in the event. You should absolutely know beforehand who is on and at what time. I do not want to sit on Hastings pier for 10 hours. And from an event that was held last night the comments are still sadly very negative about security. I am a seasoned music festival/event attendee and in my very long experience Skiddle put on the worst events I have ever attended. Never again.”

“Went to see ub40 in leazes park Newcastle upon Tyne, but left the venue before it started! Badly organised not enough toilets for the people at the venue..... Queue was long. Didn't see the ub40 as the welfare facilities were the worst I've experienced. I will be seeking a refunded with the many many other people leaving the venue.”

“Booked Ibiza Orchestra summer event but turns out I’m going to see Marty Pellow!!!!!! Disgraceful that they announce this after they have our money. Last entry 7pm means you have no option to turn up later to only see the orchestra and you have to spend 90 minutes of your life listening to Wet wet greatest hits. No refunds apparently. We feel we’ve been scammed”

“Avoid, event cancelled, on the 19th July, Herrington Park the organiser confirmed cancelled, but are waiting for their insurance payout and no immediate refund. The insurance at Herrington has nothing to do with ticket sales. Sorry Pete Tong but this venue has given you a bad rep.”
