I have all the herbs and spices in my kitchen Only tried it because it was a gift voucher, now they have taken 10 pounds from my account without any notice or any communication. Scam if you ask me. I'm going to see how "SIMPLE" it is to get my refund.

I wish I read the reviews before I ordered the £1 trial. I now think this company is dodgy. They took £1 from both myself and a friend and we’ve never received our orders. Imagine they must be doing this to thousands of people. Imagine the money they’re raking in without shipping our orders. Definitely steer clear of them.

Makes life easier. I am really pleased with the recipes that I have chosen so far. Each and every meal has been very tasty and easy to make. I was sceptical at first to give Simply Cook a try but after tasting a meal my daughter made from the company I was really impressed. It is nice to have a bit of variety and this is one way of changing up recipes and the small pots are just perfect for adding so much flavour. I also like some of the ideas you get and you can use these tips (like adding chipotle sauce to sour cream) for other dishes you make. I would honestly say it is worthwhile and I am glad I decided to do this and am now on to my 3rd week and my husband seems to be enjoying the variety (after 22 years I am sure it is nice to taste different things I make). Everything comes neatly boxed and fits through the letter box. The expiry dates are Feb next year so there is no need to use them straight away if you want to wait before cooking the ingredients. I store mine in the fridge. I also like that you can link the other ingredients you need to Tesco online shopping to make it even more convenient. What is there not to like :-)

Free gift is rubbish. You are really signing up to subscribe. They will send more after free gift and charge. I don’t know if the product is good or not but would never order off anyone who tries to con you.

The current offer of £1 or £3 for a 'free trial' sounds good but it's not transparent. I didn't realise that I was signing into a subscription service until I noticed the 'Set your back up box' instructions at the end of the confirmation email (see pic). When I did realise, I cancelled the subscription service online and emailed a complaint to Simply Cook. They replied saying that as I'd cancelled the subscription service then I wouldn't get the offer box and they'd refund the £3 I paid. So how is this a 'free trial'? It's more a discount against future purchases. I wouldn't describe their practice as a scam, but it is misleading and they really should be up front about what you are buying/signing up for from the outset. If people don't fully read or understand the confirmation email they'll end up paying a monthly subscription for something they hadn't realised they were committing to.

SimplyCook asks people to pay £1 for delivery to get a free sample, and then once the payment has been processed they tell you that the box is on the way and that you have now committed to regular deliveries with SimplyCook just sending random stuff if you don't order anything. And when cancelling the regular delivery SimplyCook then tells you that the initial offer to try a box is not anymore available.

I ordered a sample box online and decided not to subscribe. I did not set up an account login as it was simply a single order. Subsequently I was bombarded with marketing emails without having subscribed - I managed to get these stopped. Less than 1 month later my credit was charged as if I had subscribed. I had to write to hello@simplycook.com and demand a refund and the deletion of my credit card details. I also managed to get logged on to an account set up in my name by following a "Forgotten password" dialogue and cancelled all future deliveries. I am very unhappy with, what I consider to be, the underhanded sales and marketing practices of Simply Cook.

Same as everyone else who had reviewed- I wished I had seen these before signing up for the £1 free trial. Their app and website are designed BADLY (deliberately?) to not include tracking of your orders, no way to see your subscriptions, but super easy to click what to add to your next boxes, which is extremely confusing (by design I guess) that you can’t know if you’ve ordered the free trial, or like I did- added repeated order because there isn’t any confirmation on app/ website or email. I only realized when my card was charged £.9.99, I blocked it immediately and wrote an email to Simply Cook. They replied and told me what I have done- and said I can keep the second box with 50% refund. Or that I can return the box via Royal Mail which I’ll have to pay postage. I don’t think they are scammers but their website and app design really need to be improved and more user friendly or else it’s hard to think it’s not done deliberately to get people charged for service they didn’t want. Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Will not continue.

They have fraudulent practices as I received an unauthorised charge for a box without having subscribed to one or even picking a subscription let alone recipes. I've tried getting in touch with them and they have not responded to my email either. I will now have to contact my bank to decline any charges from this company in the future.

I am disgusted. Simply Cook send fresh produce including meat via royal mail. My box has not arrived after 3 days and I was told to wait 3-5 WORKING days for delivery from date of dispatch. This is disgusting. Would you leave a packet of chicken in a box for 5 days then cook and eat it?... I will be throwing the whole lot in the bin. And most certainly won't use you again

Total scammers!!!!! Be warned!!! Can’t get in touch with them!!! Called my bank .. they can’t stopped them. I never authorised them .. it was a promotional thing on my gym app. Just pay postage for £1 and get a box free. After that they keep taking money from my account. Please stay away from this company!!! I’m so angry!!
