Made order and payment confirmed, after second email comunication with then was told I would have my order in 7 to 10 days, still not received after this time said by them. No comunication from them about my late order, looks like a scam .

Received a threatening letter yesterday, for an item purchased last year. Letter claims I owe money and claims they have sent invoices and requests on both counts. Firstly, they wouldn't have sent an item if I hadn't paid. I have proof on my PayPal that I paid and was then refunded a month later. Also, I received no correspondence other than my current letter threatening to pass my details on to a credit agency! Utter scam company. Avoid

Have placed about 4 quite big orders with these guys and have had no problems ,once something wasnt in stock and i got my refund quickly so no worries ,a great selection particularly of older stuff ,will defo buy from them again .

Avoid at all costs. Placed orders for 2 dvds.In stock at the time of placing. This was the only shop that were claiming the items were in stock. Called them on the phone to say ask if they can honestly say they have them and they confirmed on the phone that they did and would have no problems. A week later the refunds and out of stock emails come flooding in. Pathetic and should have their trading licence stripped.NO STARS.

Ordered 2 box sets which were never dispatched, when enquired told out of stock but were on back order, items still not dispatched, so I cancelled order and requested refund, told funds never taken, which was a lie. Matter now in dispute with my Credit Card company. Totally unscrupulous company. AVOID!

Ordered a box set a week ago, got an email today saying that my money will be refunded. Waiting for the refund, if no refund will contact my Bank and pay company a visit (X investigator).

I placed an order with Simply Home Entertainment and then read negative reviews afterwards and I got really nervous. I had absolutely nothing to worry about. My boxset arrived earlier than expected today and in sealed and perfect condition. SimplyHE emailed me to let me know when they despatched my items so I am delighted with the service. I will definitely be buying my discs from here in future.

they do not communicate, take your money when you order but do not send your items and then you can't contact or get refund

Came across them on twitter under the user name Moviemail - their site is full of hard to find indie & foreign cinema not just your usual american / british film & TV. Even has those independent documentaries that win oscars but you can never seem to see on TV. Would highly recommend for a great selection of top class cinema/tv.

Thank you for listening to my recommendations and getting the DVDs that I asked for. You have made my year! There really isnt many retailers like you any more, they're all ran by robots and computers, it's so refreshing to have a human to speak to and that listens and responds accordingly :)

Just brilliant - I'm not really one for online shopping as I much prefer the personal experience of entering a shop but this site is fantastic and feels not far off the experience you would get in a shop. There are great recommendations of titles that helped me to find new dvds that I had no heard of but were right up my street. It is laid out well so it is very easy to find the exact genre you want easily without looking through pages and pages of products like on other sites.

They have the BEST sales - I can't believe how low the prices have been because they're reasonably priced anyway. Brought from their sale on Thursday night and my order arrived this morning. I got ten TV series sets for £80 - plenty of classics that i wanted to see years ago but missed (far before the times of iplayer and catch up) and have finally got the chance to watch them (and show the children and grandchildren how much better TV was back in my day)!!!!!!!!!! If you want to know about the sales, sign up to get their email reminders so you dont miss out!

Was reluctant to place an order given some of the negative reviews on here but a HUGE THANK YOU to Simply Home Entertainment. Order was delivered quickly and was as expected. I really like their website, it is easy to use and the products are put into very specific collections which makes it easier to shop specific genres and themes of films. Only thing i would say could improve is their range of CDs and how the CDs are laid out on the site as it is very different from the dvd section (the long list of genres is small and hard to read)

Really pleased with the Threads Blu-Ray - thanks Simply for listening to us and releasing this. I was pleased when you remastered it for DVD but was disappointed that there was no option to purchase a Blu-ray so when you announced you were (& were giving the option for those who purchased the dvd to swap it free of charge) I thought 'wow' - that is customer service you don't see elsewhere. The film itself is great, as is the new quality - the improvement is astonishing and I really enjoyed the new features too. Will continue buying from Simply as long as they keep bringing great releases of classic titles - I know I can rely on you I would say that sometimes the pricing could be better as it often is not competitive and the have a really limited selection of Blu-Ray titles which is disappointing as I'm often forced to look elsewhere and don't like making multiple orders on different sites, would rather buy from the same place so it can deter me from shopping with them

SO happy I managed to do most of my Christmas shopping with Simply Home Entertainment (all the family, friends, stocking fillers, secret santa etc) and spend less than £150 on everyone (I cant remember the exact amount) but I brought SO much and lots of box sets that were way cheaper here than anywhere else. I ordered on cyber Monday and my stuff came within a week then ordered again about a week ago and now I have everything ready to wrap. yay. I used their gift guides and thought that all the present suggestions were sorted perfectly (stocking fillers for him/her/the family, secret santa work guide etc) thank you for making it an easy Christmas this year. only one point is it would be good if I could use two discount codes at once because I used one on my second order but I actually had two I could have used and saved even more money. not a big deal but we like to save money where we can don't we? All round positive things to say good things: - good choice of dvds and cds - they release their own dvds, often old classic/retro shows and films that have not yet been released or were lost in the archives - they know what they're talking about & don't give you a generic answer when you message them on facebook or twitter unlike most companies - their site is easy to use bad things - they may have too big of a selection on their site - who could possibly ever own that many dvds? - they don't have a physical store you can go into, it's all online - they don't sell records which I would have expected given they sell vintage / retro classic dvds/cds and Entertainment that is hard to find - this is an avenue they could explore

I found Simply via a competition website and didn't bother looking at reviews because at the time i just wanted to enter the competition - if i would have looked at reviews i would have steered clear (like many people said on here) but they have been SO helpful to me + reply to me on facebook straight away when i asked a question. They were so polite and friendly - it wasnt a robot talking to me, a real person who tried to help which was lovely I did then sign-up to their news letter and over the past week they have offered so many brilliant offers/discounts. Somethings are slightly more expensive than say Amazon but they always seem to have ways of saving money. Such a good selection of old tv that is impossible to find elsewhere and stumbled across series i had forgotten about but loved back then. Got lots of my christmas gifts here so made my christmas much easier. The only two complaints i have is that I didnt win the competition and that I can't buy a DVD player/Blu-Ray player on their site and i really need a new one which is why i entered the competition but they aren't an electronics store, it is only DVD, CD and some blu-ray.

No real complaints - great choice of products but it'd be nice if some of the one's I wanted were in the offers more frequently. Love the dvds you keep bringing out like Threads.
