“I think the way the end covers are designed is a poor design, it would be better if the could be slid on to the handrail and fixed in place with a screw.”

“All was well until we unpacked the rather insecure bundle that was taped to the rail itself. As soon as we opened it I could see that one of the metal caps was missing...this should have been apparent to the the person who put the consignment together. How are you going to rectify this? Our chippie is coming on Tuesday 16 August. Deborah Crow 01394 809 433, 07802 908479”

Hi Deborah, We have checked the emails and our call logs we haven’t had any correspondence from you at all. We have obviously and luckily checked the reviews and found that you have an issue with your order. All our orders are checked and double checked with a strict process. We will of course sort this out for you but it seems like the courier could of damaged the package. We always say to not book trades people before checking and double checking this will be sent tomorrow for you and it will be there Tuesday. We delivered this within two working days and a little time has passed since you wrote this review and we always do say check the order within 24 hours so we can rectify any damage by couriers. “Well packaged, quick delivery, all screws & wall plugs supplied. Would have been nice to have some hints on getting alignment of brackets right (4 with 3.5m rail) plus centring plastic plug for end caps. Otherwise first class product”

“I found customer service very helpful and professional, ordering very easy and delivery 1st class with regular updates on the status of the order and expected delivery day. The handrail and fixings are of excellent quality, the only downside I would say is that the screws sent were 2 1/2 inch wood screws and the rawplugs 1 1/2 inch when I called to query this the tech department said they were fit for purpose, I would have to disagree the screws were too long and did not fit the rawplugs, and for an outside wall fixing should not have been wood screws.”

Hi Heather, Thank you for your review. It is a common mistake where people think the plugs should be the same size as the screw. As the screw has to be a required size, the plugs available are always standard. There are a lot of youtube videos online which can help show this. In regards to sending woodscrews for brickwork, this is again correct. When using the wall plugs they do suit masonary. I hope this helps. Thank you for your positive review of the product. “good quality materials slight problem with dimensions, long handrail ordered 3.5 metres actual size 3.3 metres on second attempt after first sent with holes in the wrong place informed over phone and new length sent out quickly but also 200 mm short. also 2.2 metres length actually 1.95 metres”

“Good customer service, product is to spec and looks good fitted. Slight delay with the glass but I wasn't in a hurry so not a massive issue for me. I assume some sort of CAD is used to plan and cut the glass from the dimensions given, it would have been nice if this could be used to provide spacings for the clamps. I spent alot of time trying to work these out for the angled pieces but maybe my head just wasn't really in the game today?”

“The oak handrail purchased was exactly as described and looks lovely, the only thing that I can say which is a negative point would be that the ends to the handrail could made larger to fit over the handrail instead of the screw in.”

“My experience with SimpleHandrails todate has been excellent, their customer service person Samantha was very helpful answering my questions about support bracket sizes and providing a quotation to match my specific application. Ordering and delivery were simple tasks and goods arrived well packaged and ahead of schedule. Rails look the part and should work well, although I havent as yet installed them. Will undoubtebly purchase again if I need more railings.”

“The stainless steel hand rail is excellent. Exactly as described and was easy to install. Overall very pleased. Only not a 5-star review because the box containing the brackets, screws etc that is taped to the hand rail was ripped to pieces with an open hole in it on delivery. Worried stuff might be missing but it wasn't.”
